Provisional Military Administrative Council
Ten years had passed since the installation of the Corporate Militarist government. Since then, Gaduridos had been transformed from a one party dump trying to put pieces of the nation back together following the collapse of the Pontesian Monarchy to a rising regional power. Many political economists even ventured to call Gaduridos the Gatekeeper of Dovani following the naval policy reform after the Dovani Terrorist Attacks.
However, the Provisional Military Administrative Council, consisting of fourteen members: two women and twelve men, would not stay agreeable to its Chairman, Mengistu Haile Beeman. Of course, their loyalty would then come into question. The people that ran the Gaduridos government also held positions in a corporate political party, the JayCo Coordinating Committee of the Army, along with corporate executiveships in JayCo. These people saw each other daily and it was only a matter of time before faction lines were drawn and disagreements became public.
Beeman had hoped it would last for another ten years though...
"Sir, we must break relations with Luthori now. They are flaunting the Axis Alliance as their own diplomatic and political will. Our Foreign Affairs Subcommittee is working overtime just to keep everything straight. I can barely keep the textbooks and teacher guides straight as it is! Your policy of supporting one crown while encouraging removal of another is hypocrisy in itself!" criticized the Chairman of the Education & Culture Subcommittee.
"You keep your nose out of our business," warned Girma Asres, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee.
In all honesty, Asres was probably closer to Beeman and the entire corporate-militarist complex as a whole. There was a reason he was put in charge of an important area. He was also somewhat fuming that the relations with Kalopia never went through. However, Beeman understood what happened and did not blame Asres.
However, this new thorn in his side... Samuel Mejía, was a problem. Samuel was always a hothead. He did not subscribe to the way the current government attempted to find equality among all Gaduridos people. He felt all those that were not Vintalli should be ethnically cleansed.
What Samuel failed to realize though was that Vintalli were not a majority of people and the very party and company he was a part of had varying ethnicities within it.
Even at the table they sat at, each member of the council was not Vintalli only. Hell, Samuel's last name was Gaduridos in origin, not Vintalli.
"Samuel, how long have you been a part of JayCo?" asked Beeman innocently as he strolled over to his comrade's seat.
"I am not sure. Since the early days... why?" Samuel asked.
"Because," Beeman continued, "your services are no longer needed."
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" screamed Samuel.
Beeman had cut off his subordinate's right ear. Samuel tried to get out of his seat, but the head of state pushed his seat in, not letting Samuel up.
"Why are you doing this?!" spat Samuel.
The faces of those around the table were grim. They knew all too well the answer to their comrade's question.
"You are a traitor to this nation and to this cause. Good day."
Two shots rang out followed by a thud.
"As of this moment, the Education & Culture Subcommittee is merged with the Health & Social Services Subcommittee pending further orders," Beeman commanded as he replaced his sidearm in its holster, "Let this all be an example to you. Your advice is valued; however, any disrespect will not be tolerated. If it is found that you are a traitor, may you suffer the same fate, even if I must do it myself."
