Day 17Ending CeremonyThe closing ceremony of the first modern Olympic Games in Williamsborough, in the Duchy of Geharon, was less flamboyant and extravagant than the opening ceremony. It began with a huge parade of the Knights of St Richard, all dressed in robes of white with the red crosses of Luthor on them. Then came the nine Knights of the Eternal, with the Knights of Prime, the Supreme Commander of the Holy Imperial Military, presenting the Imperial Standard to Emperor George III. Security was at a very heightened level, even perhaps more so than at the opening ceremony, because all of the Empire's top military commanders and many of its politicians were gathered at the same place. The Luthorian anthem "Hail Luthori Imperium" was played this time by the Imperial Symphonic Orchestra.
Then, the Marquess of Seffordshire, Edward Jackson, acting in the place of the Earl of Williamsbrorough, handed over the Olympic flag to the mayor of Kien, Renate Wolff and the Hulstrian national anthem was played. Several Imperial dignitaries made speeches, including the Emperor and the games were officially ended.
