Kafuri Internal Security Forces arrest four Likatonians suspected of espionage and terrorist acts. Kafuristan raises IMRL to "Code Red".
LEHONTI-- The Ministry of Defence announced today that Kafuri Internal Security Forces have arrested four Likatonians during an nightly raid on a remote farm in the Kafuri-Kalopian border region. The arrest was preceded by a short exchange of gunfire between the four man and the Kafuri Internal Security Forces, leaving two of the arrested man and 4 soldiers injured. The four man are being accused of spying for a foreign power, plotting terrorist acts against the State and being in the country illegally. Sources within the Ministry of Defence have confirmed that the Kafuri military has evidence that the arrested man work for the Likatonian Intelligence Agency and are part of a covert team paving the way for a possible invasion of Kafuristan by Likatonia. The Sources also confirmed that the four man had been taken for interrogation to the Abu Aziz Security Facility near the city of Boaz, Abi'nadi. This Security Facility is used as a prison for "unwanted and subversive" elemants within Kafuri society and is notorious for its use of unconventional interrogation methodes. The Ministry of Defence stated that the four man will be tried by a special military tribunal and could face the death penalty. Kafuri Internal Security Forces have increased security operations within the Kafuri-Kalopian border region the find and take out any other Likatonian covert units.
As a result of these arrests, the Kafuri Supreme Military Council has raised the Imperial Military Readiness Level to "Code Red", the highest level. The Supreme Command has ordered the complete and total mobilization of all Imperial Armed Forces, Imperial Guard and National Militia units. The raising of the IMRL to "Code Red" means that the Supreme Military Council views that foreign military incursions into Kafuri territory are imminent. Because of this, the Supreme Council has decided to build and extend fortifications allong the Kafuri coast to prevent an possible invasion by enemy forces. The Supreme Military Council also has announced that a ten mile strip along the entire coast will be designated as a restricted military zone. Entry to this zone by unautherized military and civilan personal will be considered an act of treason and will be dealt with accordingly.
