[TWC] Terran World Cup 3238 - Valruzia

Since the old thread has died long ago, I think it's about time we resurrect the Football (soccer) Terran World Cup (TWC). There are currently 40 countries signed to the Terran World Cup, and these teams will be participating in the 3238 cup. As I am bringing this back, I would gather that it is only fair that the first tournament be played in Valruzia. We have all the necessary infrastructure in place to host, and would gladly do so.

There are five stages in this tournament: The Draw Stage, where the teams will be drawn into their respective groups, of which there are 8 groups with 5 teams apiece; The Qualification Stage, where each team will battle it out with others in their group to avoid getting eliminated; The Finals Draw, where the Final groups will be decided;The Group stage, where all teams will against the other teams in their groups, constituting a total of 3 games in this stage. The top 2 teams from every group will advance into the next stage; The Knockout Stage, where the Top 2 teams from every group will battle in the following rounds, in sequence: the Round of 16, the Quarterfinals, the Semifinals, the 3rd Place Match, and the Final.

All games will be determined via the Random Integer generator on http://www.random.org/ , and will be posted accordingly. An Excel Spreadsheet also be taken of the tournament and will be made available for viewing at the end of the tournament.

I'll keep that in mind for the next games. However, for the time being, as well as for ease of organizing this tournament, I shall assume that only the Darnussian Republic is participating; I shall add in Narikaton in the next tournament. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I shall also do the same for Beiteynu and Jutridan in the future, treating the two as separate entities.

Due to a series of political, social, and economic events involving Valruzia, the 3238 TWC was cancelled. No winner was determined, and a new tournament will be commenced in 3252. We deeply apologize for this development.

OOC: Tough month of med school took priority, and I kinda let a lot of things slip here. Let's try this again.
