Dogmen Revolt

Image

May 21, 3566 - The Deltárska Ríša, the once almighty Deltarian Empire, which for decades was the most powerful of all nations and one of the largest empires in Terran history, is now crumbling. After an engineered famine that claimed the life of hundreds of thousands of Deltarians, a revolt of the Great Czarist Army, a rebellion of the peasants and serfs, and the rule of a mad Czar, the Empire has begun its inevitable collapse. Already Jelbania and Cobura, taking advantage of the Czardom's waning power, proclaimed their independence from the Empire, with many more nations to follow.

Although order was temporarily restored in Deltaria with the assassination of Czar Miloš the Mad and the crowning of his elder brother, tensions soon resurfaced between the conservative nobles of the prestigious old Dynastias and the plutocratic parvenu nobility of the Whiggs. At the same time, the Men Aside, also known as the Czar's Dogmen, the fanatical followers of the Czar who formed the ruling class of Deltaria for decades, refuse to acknowledge Viktor I as the rightful Czar. After the organization was proclaimed illegal by the Tsargrad Veche and its members sentenced to death by the breaking wheel, the Men Aside took arms against the White Guard government, and are now in open rebellion against Viktor I.

At the same time, rumour has begun to spread among the more ignorant Deltarians that Czar Miloš may in fact still be alive, having miraculously survived the assassination attempt orchestrated by the nobles. Many among the poor Deltarians do believe that Czar Miloš is indeed the incarnation of Saint Parnum the Thunderer, and that he will soon return to smite his opponents and return order and peace to the Deltarian Empire and all of Terra.

Dranland will go the way of the Ríša, says Alvarado

Fabricio Alvarado, leader of Dranland's Hacia Casa (HC) movement, has responded to news of the collapse of the Deltárska Ríša by claiming "Soon the Republic of Dranland will go the same way". "Dranland, like the former Deltarian Empire, rules without moral legitimacy and without the consent of those it governs," he added. "Within my lifetime, I believe the Dranish Regime will fall and we will have a united Egelia".

HC is known as a unificacionist movement that campaigns for Dranland and Egelion to be merged in order to form a single, Egelian/Dranianos dominated nation called Egelia.

Doron Akigo Secedes (Again)

Image
Flag of the Dunic Republic of Doron Akigo

December 3566 - As the Deltarian Empire is on the verge of collapse, the nations and ethnic groups governed by the Czarist monarchy are beginning to break away from the Tsargrad government, attempting to assert their independence. After Jelbania and Cobura became free from Deltarian rule, now the notoriously separatist peoples of Doron Akigo have also declared independence from Holy Deltaria. The Hadsingōs Thing, the legislative of Doron Akigo, voted in favour of secession as a republic; unlike what happened during the Lake Majatra War, it now seems that the Dorons and Akigans have decided to cooperate in the pursuit of independence, avoiding the infighting that doomed their previous attempts at secession. United under the banner of Dunic (OOC: Ancient Germanic) pan-nationalism, Doron Akigo proclaimed its independence under the name of the "Dunic Republic of Doron Akigo" (Dunisks Þiudangardi Doronreikja jah Akigōs in Doron and Dunisce Cyneƿīse Doronrīces and Aciȝan in Akigan). The new republic aims to free itself from under Deltarian rule and to unite with Vorona/Deltaria Nova, bringing together Terra's Dunic peoples. Deltarian loyalists in Doron Akigo, opposing the Voivodeship's secession, have begun an armed revolt against the Republic's government, with the support of Doron Akigo's ruling Dynastia, the Cynebalds.

False Miloš

Image

January 3568 - A previously unknown Deltarian individual has come forth and claimed to be Czar Miloš the Second, who was assassinated in August 3563. Capitalizing on his physical resemblance to the deceased Mad Czar and on the popular superstition that Miloš miraculously survived his assassination at the hands of the nobility, this false Miloš announced his intention of (re)gaining the throne and overthrowing Viktor I. Building on the popular sympathy that many impoverished Deltarians held for the anti-aristocratic reign of Miloš II, and offering his support to the dissatisfied Dogmen, the False Miloš has gathered a significant military force, capable of challenging the White Guard government and their puppet Czar.

As the Holy Inquisitor returns from the Holy Deltarian countryside, after converting a village of heretics to the Theognosian faith, he has returned to the Great Patriarchy's embassy in the capital. In a public speech from a balconey, he has proclaimed that the Patriarch, Baselios I of Kalopia, demands that the ruler of Deltaria be a member of the Theognosian Church. Upon speaking of Milos II and Victor, he has said the Great Patriarchy will intervene on behalf of he who converts to the Theognosian faith.

Patriotic Loyalists Take Over Trigunia, Plans to Secede From Deltárska Ríša

Image
Petenka Primakov, Leader of the Patriot's Revolution and Commissioner of the Glorious Trigunian Union

March 15, 3563

After the Patriotic Loyalists led the Patriot's Revolution to overthrow National Leader Vladimir Degtyarev out of office (and the country all together), they have chosen to elect Petenka Primakov as the first Commissioner of the newly-founded Glorious Trigunian Union. He has begun his reign by setting up a '10 Year Plan' for Trigunia. The goals of this 10 Year Plan is to get rid of all things from the People's Republic of Trigunia, set up the new Glorious Government System of Trigunia (GGST), and to remove Trigunia from the Deltárska Ríša. When ask to explain into further details about his plan, he chose to make three statements about all three branches of the plan:

Well, our first and main goal we have, is to cut all ties and relations from this government and the one from the former People's Republic. Now, from reading this statement plainly, it MAY look like that we are removing the people from the government's equation. This isn't the case comrades. The title the former government had was full of falsehoods. It was never a government of the people. If it was, why couldn't you elect to replace Degtyarev as National Leader, even when it was crystal clear that he was doing his job properly? Why did he choose the local officials and not the locals themselves? The answer is simple. The republic wasn't one of the people. They never are for the people. These republics are for the minority of the people. Do you think that these republics care for the people they are suppose to serve and protect? Does Dranland serve all of their people or the minority of them who give their MPs the most bribes? Oh, sorry. I meant to say 'campaign funding'. *laughs* Anyways, what about Egelion? Do they serve the Egelian citizens or their Indralan overlords? That is why we are changing all that we can. To hopefully wipe away the bad taste that the previous government left in their mouths.

The second goal is the create the Glorious Government System of Trigunia. Or the 'GGST' for short. This one is an extension of the first goal in some ways and a separate goal of its own in other ways. The idea of the GGST is simple. A balance system of government free from the corruption, back door politics, and others issues that the previous republic, among others in differnet nations, faced and a government that helps the people in every way possible. This one will likely take the longest, due to how much we need to fix, change, and/or replace and meeting the expectations of our fellow Trigunians, but it is one that needs to be done. We already made some bills and acts for this, but honestly, we need to do more than just change a few titles and put in a new cabinet. We need to do SO much more than that. Our endgame for this goal is to make a system so well that other governments will try to make a copy of ours in later years.

The final branch of the 10 Year Plan is to remove ourselves from the Deltárska Ríša. This will no doubt be the easiest one to do. All that needs to be done is to denounce it, which I am basically doing right now, leave the treaty, and we will be on our merry way. For a reason to do this, well... Trigunia really doesn't need the Ríša. We, as a nation, do not benefit from it in any way, it is likely fall in on itself in a few years as all these empires do, the Deltárska Ríša being another reminder of the old republic. In on that subject, isn't that the only reason we are in it in the first place? So that whenever the revolution would come, the Ríša with its 'Holy Alliance' would crush the rebels? With the Deltárska Ríša losing strength, and Holy Alliance also being non-existence, and the whole revolution happening anyway; why ARE we still in it? What point is their to be in it? Hopefully, this branch will be finished soon. However, looking at the papers for it, legally leaving the Deltárska Ríša will take a long while. So, for now, we will settle for denouncing.

ZARDS DEPLOY COVERT PARAMILITARIES AND "PEACEKEEPERS AROUND MAJATRA
Image

Image
Zardic Intel paramilitaries on an op in an undisclosed central Majatran location

With the Deltarian Empire's rapid collapse under a succession of incompetent and in some cases mentally deficient rulers Zardugal has taken the leading role in Majatra to fill the gap that Deltarian power filled in terms of geo-political stability. Former Deltarian client state Cobura, a once staunch Zardic ally is currently experiencing a mini-war with superior Zardic forces and close to no international help. In recent months tensions with Vanuku have cooled and Zardugal has opened a new tract in expanding its diplomacy abroad to states like Talmoria and to Badara. Waves of new consultants and advisors training in everything from security to government administration are being sent along with massive amounts of development aid, which many believe is going to support military and other security institutions in order to bring the countries into the pro-Zardic camp.
With Deltaria proper in a state of essential anarchy there is talk of Zardugal deploying peacekeepers to stabilize the situation. Countless factions are vying for power and the situation continues to worsen as already violence is spilling over the border to Jakania where there is already a sizeable peacekeeper force protecting the pipeline in the western part of the country. Most observers now believe that Zardugal is headed for renewed tensions with Kafuristan as both are making claims to the Jakanian Throne and domination of the country. Zardugal would seem to have a slight advantage given the nature of Zardic aid and how close Zardugal is to Jakania but Kafuristan has strong ties in areas like religious authority and cultural ties. Many expect a rising Zardugal to face off in some nature against a regional power that is Kafuristan for domination of central and eastern Majatra.

Al Jabiri: Lies, lies, lies

Image
Al-Jabiri in action

Bier Qassem, Badara: At a press conference yesterday, Badaran Foreign Minister Harun al-Jabiri rejected claims that he had met representatives of the claimant to the Deltarian throne known as False Miloš. The supposed meeting is said to have taken place in al-Kasraj, the Kafuristani capital in a run down motel in the city's down town area..

These are just lies, as usual. Anti-Majatran forces and enemies of Badaran freedom always at work against Majatran unity and friendship. It is true that I went to the motel in question but that was to see my distant cousin, Ali the proprietor. While i do admire the achievements of Tsesar Miloš II before he lost his wits, there is no way that we would consider adding to the troubles the Deltarian Empire is facing by supporting a pretender. Badara's position on this is to call for a new session of the Council of Majatra and help the Deltarians solve their issues in a non violent manner.

Later on, asked about the fact the owner of the Rashidun Motel is not actually Ali al-Jabiri but a Jamal al-Mousa, The Foreign Minister had this to say.

We don't tolerate this kind of harassment in Badara by bloodsucking penpushers. Am I supposed to keep records of who owns what in downtown al-Kasraj? Bugger off workshy parasite!

A source in the Rashidun Motel claims that he overheard Al-Jabiri discussing financial and diplomatic support for the pretender with men who spoke Majatran with distinctively Deltarian accents. The Badarans have continued to deny all this and pointed out that non interference in foreign conflicts is one of the Badaran People's Movement's policies.
To live outside the law, you must be honest.

False Miloš Occupies Tsargrad

Image

June 3568 - The forces of the pretender claiming himself to be Miloš II, consisting mainly of the revolting Men Aside and a large number of peasants, have conquered the entire Vojevodstvo of Darali, including the capital city Tsargrad. False Miloš installed himself in the Imperial Palace, claiming the throne of Holy Deltaria and the Deltarian Empire for himself, while Czar Viktor and most of the White Guard government managed to flee to the city of Královice, in the Vojevodstvo of Alazinder. One of the first actions of the impostor Czar was to execute all members of the Čestibor Dynasty found in Darali, accusing the family of treason against Saint Parnum and the rightful Czar of Deltaria. As Darali was the feudal demesne of the Čestibors, who held all noble titles in the Voivodeship and thus most members of the family resided in Darali, the Dynasty was almost entirely wiped out, the only survivors being the cadet branch of the family ruling in Jakania and Czar Viktor together with his wife and children.

Breakdown of Deltarian forces:

ZARDS IN DELTARIA?
Image
Zardic peacekeepers arriving in Doron Akigo
July 3568

As the effects of the collapse of the rotten Deltarian Empire continue to magnify Zardugal finds itself expending large sums of its diplomatic and military resources trying to keep stability in southern Majatra. Zardic peacekeepers are already deployed in western Jakania while military personnel continue their campaign against Cobura. Internationally Zardugal is sending aid and advisors to Talmoria and Badara in an attempt to encourage stability and established a Zardic presence. In Majatra the main competitor is Kafuristan which is seeking to expand its Caliphate into south and central Majatra and both sides are looking at a collision in Jakania as many expect the Coburan affair to be wrapped up by Christmas of this year.
However a new front has opened up in the quest to fill the vacuum of power left by Deltaria: Deltaria itself. The country is currently locked in a bitter civil war between two equally genocidal parties as the False Milos and the White Guard contend for power over the country. With the fall of Tsargrad and the White Guard taking a battering on other battles Zardic officials are looking to deploy "peacekeepers" to Doron Akigo and there is talk of covert support to the White Guard government. Many suspect that Deltaria will become the battlefield where Kafuristan and Zardugal make their next power play.
