War with Indrala

Image
Sekowan troops in Statrica

Tensions between Sekowo and Indrala finally reached their boiling point, turning into a full-fledged war. With Indrala engaged in the War of the Tripartite Alliance, the Imperial Armed Forces of Sekowo have launched a surprise attack on Indralan colonial holdings in Statrica and Teoitan on the 2nd of January, 3729, 03:00 hours WDT (West Dovani Time), one hour after the official declaration of war was passed by the Kokkai in a secret motion. The declaration of war cites Indralan sponsorship of the terrorist anti-Ishida Tōhōkai organization, the Indralan support for the decolonization movement, its rule over former Sekowan colonies, and the alleged Indralan violation of the terms of the Treaty of Port Tackstov as the causes of belligerence. This declaration of war comes after decades of significant tensions between the two nations. Indrala frequently supported a number of anti-Ishida political organizations in Sekowo, be they Republican, Communist, Theocratic, or Orinco Nationalist, all with the goal of ending the Sekowan colonial empire, while Sekowo condemned Indralan actions several times in the past, and the ultra-loyalist and anti-Indralan Teiseitō remains a central player in Sekowan politics.

The invasion of Statrica and Teoitan is conducted by two of Sekowo's three Army Groups. The Argos Army, under command of General Jicchaku Hikaru and comprised of 213,000 troops, is in charge of invading Statrica from the Sekowan homeland and Argos, while the Southern Expeditionary Army, commanded by General Kanegusuku Kawaguchi and formed of 145,000 troops, is tasked with invading Teoitan from south Argos. General Jicchaku's forces are likely to take advantage of the tensions between the local Hosians in Statrica and their anti-Hosian rulers in Indrala. Encountering limited resistance, Sekowan forces are now rapidly advancing into Indralan territory in Dovani.

Teoitan Liberated

December 3729 - The glorious Sekowan Imperial Army has succeeded in freeing Teoitan (known as Bianjie by Indrala) from under Indralan tyranny, as General Kanegusuku's Southern Expeditionary Army was victorious against the Indralan forces in the colony. The city of Gemun, the capital of Teoitan, fell to the liberating Sekowan forces on the 3rd of December, and by the end of the month the entire colony was returned under the rule of the Divine Empress. After the liberation of Gemun, General Kanegusuku announced to a cheering crowd the creation of the Protectorate of Teoitan (Teoitan gurun), returning the colony under Sekowan rule after more than 800 years of foreign rule.

Meanwhile, the battle for Statrica continues, as the Argos Army encounters more determined resistance from Indralan forces. The hoped-for Hosian enthusiasm for Sekowan liberation has been underwhelming so far, and many of the locals, no doubt fed lies by their Indralan overlords, are resisting the advance of General Jicchaku's forces. The Battle of Bovnajsky, fought in early October, was a stalemate, slowing down Sekowo's advance towards Breznica, the capital of Statrica. But the tide of battle is still on Sekowo's side, and it will not be long before all South Dovani is freed from Indralan imperialism.

First Fleet sets sail to Dovani
Navy escorts supply ships to Indrala.

One of the many supply ships of Vanuku's Naval Forces heading to Indrala, protected by the veteran First Fleet.

Wiel, Verhamelen - In the midst of the peace conference the Minister of War and National Defence, Sagzi Nubaékndz, approved executive naval order 21. Four supply ships carrying food rations, ammunitions, clothing, fuel and other useful goods set sail to the continent of Dovani. The First Fleet, under guidance of the Naval Forces mothership the Zr. Ms. Wiel aircraft carrier, has been tasked with the protection of the supply ships. The fleet is expected to arrive in about three weeks near Indralan shores. Before this order was given Vanuku's stance on the Sekowan invasion of Indralan territory was unknown, the decision comes at a surprising moment but experts state that the decision was not surprising at all. "Many supplies are leftover from the Greater Majatran War, Indrala has done a great deal to assist Vanuku and the Vanukuian people have never forgotten what Sekowo stole from us" said military expert dr. Jan van Veen. During the short and chaotic communist rule of Vanuku, Sekowo swiftly moved into the Vanukuian colonies and bought them at historically low prices while the communists were busy in Vanuku trying to restore public order. Whether Vanukuian, or even Tripartite, troops will be deployed is currently unknown.

Victory in Zardugal Leads to Massive Loss in Dovani

Although the mighty forces of our Divine Emperor were successful in smiting the Zardic threat and preserving the East, the very lands in which we wanted to preserve have turned against us. The Federal Empire of Sekowo, a nation of contention and isolation, yet a younger brother to Great Indrala, has attacked. They claim that Indrala has backed rebel groups in Sekowo and have breached the Treaty of Port Tacksov. These lies are baseless. No breach of international law has been made, nor has the Celestial Empire funded rebel groups in Sekowo, despite what words have been spoken. Sekowo wants one thing: to spread their false sense of Gao-Showan culture throughout Dovani.

Already, the Black Tortoise and Black Dragon fleets have been recalled, with obvious damage to some ships. We did not leave unscathed from the Zardic conflict. Our people are growing weary. Troops throughout Dovani are scattered thin, manning bases in provinces that are far from one another.

The invasion of Bianjie and Statrica has forced those loyal to His Imperial and Most Jienist Majesty to flee South, with many deaths along the way. Military vehicles had to be abandoned in order for soldiers to escape. While many individuals will have scuttled equipment, even more will have left the tools of war for the Sekowan invaders. Units have been recalled from the entirety of the Celestial Empire to focus on driving Sekowo back. Only the most minimal of defenses will remain in Squibble and South Vascania.

Members of the government are currently discussing whether to get Dankuk or Vanuku into the war, hoping that the Tripartite Alliance will intervene. One thing is for sure, the Imperial Armed Forces are scrambling for Kimlien, the most loyal of the Indralan colonies. There is where the final stand will be made.

With things heating up the Conservative government in Baltusia believes that aid and military support is what is currently need. The Baltusian government is sending Blankets, Clothing, Food & Water.

The nation says the only reason it is heading to Dovani territories is to provide aid to citizens, but many people say its more could Baltusia be considering capturing and conquering a few colonies? Only time will tell.

Hosian Liberation Front calls for uprising against Indralan Empire

Lodamun's Hosian Liberation Front (HLF), the illegal armed militia formed at the height of the government-sponsored campaign of persecution against Hosians, has issued a statement calling upon "the Hosians of the Indralan Empire to take advantage of this upcoming war by rising up against your Jienist oppressors".

Khan of Teoitan Crowned

Image
Coronation ceremony of Morjigite hala-i Niowanggiyan as Khan of Teoitan

June 3730 - With Teoitan under full Sekowan control, the colony's native system of governance has been restored. All elements of Indralan rule have been removed, and Teoitan is now governed as it was during the days of the old Federal Protectorate. Morjigite hala-i Niowanggiyan, of the ancient Morjigite Clan, was crowned as the new Khan of Teoitan, under the traditional crowning ceremony of the Bianjie people, replacing the Indralan Emperor as the Khan of Teoitan. Niowanggiyan Khan promptly offered his fealty to the Divine Empress, confirming Sekowan sovereignty over her stolen colony.

Statrica Liberated

Image
Sekowan troops parading in Breznica

August 3731 - After a long and difficult battle, the Argos Army was finally successful in liberating Statrica from under Indralan rule. Breznica fell in January 3731 after a protracted siege, and the rest of Statrica was fully occupied by Sekowan troops by August. Of particular help in the liberation of Statrica was the Hosian opposition to Indralan rule, with numerous Statrican citizens offering their assistance to the Sekowan liberating forces. The post-war governance of Statrica is an issue of some concern, as the Treaty of Port Tackstov guarantees Statrican independence, but the Argos Army is concerned that granting control of the territory to the locals may cause anti-colonial sentiments to spread to the Sekowan colonies. For now, Statrica remains under Sekowan military government, and its status is to be decided once the war is over.

Now that Sekowo was successful in liberating Teoitan and Statrica, the Southern Expeditionary Army is to begin the liberation of Utembo, to be assisted by the Argos Army, the latter of which will then move West into South Aslistan (formerly known as Talmorschland).

Victory in South Dovani

Victory dance in war-torn Ngome

July 3732 - The unstoppable tide of the Sekowan liberating forces has finally reached South Dovani. The Utemban city of Ngome, one of the most heavily fortified and well-defended cities in Indrala's colonies and the "gate" to South Dovani fell to the combined forces of the Argos Army and the Southern Expeditionary Army, opening the path to liberating the entire South of the continent. The Battle of Ngome was the first attempt of the Indralan colonial forces to resist the advance of the Sekowan armies, and the three-month battle was a victory for our brave troops. Now Utembo and South Aslistan lay open, and both will likely be liberated within two months.

In the midst of fighting, the traitors in the Sekowan Kokkai passed a law disbanding our armed forces and calling for a shameful peace with the enemy. The liberating armies in South Dovani however vow to continue the war effort, using whatever resources still are at their disposal and taking the rest from the liberated territories. The Imperial Armed Forces bow to none but the Holy Empress and will not take orders from theocratic Kamist fanatics.

Tripartite forces land in Sekowo!
Can Sekowo hold a two front war?

Image
Tripartite marines on a Sekowan beach.

Bizena, Sekowo - As chaos spreads across Jelbania, the Tripartite Dovani Mission still proceeds. Currently the Jelbanian troops attached to the Dovani Mission have sworn allegiance to the Tripartite commander, Commander-General Jeiri Suadjakai. Suadjakai is a Jelbanian himself and is the leader of the Dovani Mission. Vanuku and Deltaria watch on with caution on Majatra but the Dovani Mission seems stable and secure. In a surprise movement 116,000 Tripartite men have landed in the Sekowan state of Bizena. Marines and mechanized troops went on a swift offensive after securing the beachhead. Commander-General Suadjakai commented the beach was lightly defended as most of the Sekowan force is focused on the Indralan front. The Tripartite troops have met little real resistance yet and secured positions inland where they wait for the second phase of the Dovani Mission to start. The high command expects a tough counter offensive but the hardened veterans of the Greater Majatran War can surely resist any Dovani rabble that is thrown at them. The people at home pray for the brave troops. Long live the Tripartite Alliance!

Regrouping in Kimlien, Bombardment Commences

Despite the most holy Kamist Tohokai abolishing the Sekowan military, intelligence force, military-industrial complex, and weapons of mass destruction, the Sekowan rebels continue to gain ground in territory that has been sparsely defended over the last few decades. The enemy is strong in morale, but their legitimacy in the eyes of the world has been lost. As violators of their own law, the Sekowan rebels are traitors, stateless people with no home. His Imperial Majesty's ministers are seriously considering using weapons of mass destruction against the Sekowan military due to their rebellion against their own nation. Regardless, the Imperial Armed Forces are in retreat.

As of right now, the Imperial Army is concentrating itself in Kimlien, the most loyal of all the Indralan colonies. From Kimlien, a force of 250,000 soldiers will push through occupied territory, taking advantage of Sekowo's thinning position and make a push for Sekowan territory itself. The goal now is total war. All loyal citizens-subjects in the colonies are to destroy whatever the Sekowans can make use. It is inevitable that Sekowo will reach the borders of Kimlien. Hindering their supply chain is the last line of defense for the regions outside of Kimlien. For the sake of the Celestial Empire, this must be done.

The remnants of the Black Tortoise Fleet, along with the Spirit Dragon and Jiaolong Fleets, have set sail for Sekowo proper, where they shall support the armies of the Tripartite Alliance by blockading Sekowo and bombarding its shores, a skill that has been practiced during the Zardic-Tripartite War. Indralan bombers have already begun their runs across the Sekowan colonies in attempts to cut of the supplies from the Sekowan rebels.

The fate of the Empire will be visible in a few short times. We must come together for the sake of the Son of Heaven to ensure His Imperial Majesty's position as teacher and elder brother of Dovani.
