Marines face the jungle
"Nature is our true adversary"

Image
Marines face the harsh jungle in search of Sekowan resistance nests.

Sekowan front, Dovani - With the beaches secured and the supply lines operational the mechanized troops have taken the task to advance into the Sekowan cities and drive the Sekowan troops out. The marines however have been sent to clear the harsh jungles and forests. Colonel Jeztri of the marines stated that "nature is our true adversary in these situations". Small groups of determined Sekowan troops are hiding out in the jungle to strike at Tripartite troops when they least expect it. The job of the marines is simple, clear out the resistance nests and pacify the area. Meanwhile the mechanized forces have to hold back any Sekowan counter-offensive and advance further into Sekowo. With the pressure increased it is only a matter of time before Sekowo has to halt its offensive into Indralan lands and face the Tripartite troops in full force.

Battle of Sekowo

Image

February 3733 - The Homeland Defense Army, the third army group of the Sekowan Imperial Army tasked with the defense of the Sekowan homelan, has begun engaging the Tripartite troops in Bizena. The Imperial Army is, as a result of the legislation passed by the Kokkai, underfunded and under-supplied, forcing the General Defense Command to engage in guerrilla tactics against the invading Tripartite forces. The defending troops shall be supplemented with forces withdrawn from the South Dovani front, limiting the offensive capabilities of the liberating forces in the South. Currently, the main focus of the Homeland Defense Army is to harass the Tripartite troops and to prevent them from reaching Kasmenai, the capital of Sekowo.

Southern Advance Halts

May 3733 - With the Sekowan homeland itself undergoing invasion from Indrala's allies, the Imperial Armed Forces of Sekowo were forced to remove some of the liberating forces in order to commit them to the defense of Sekowo. The Southern Expeditionary Army will be withdrawn to defensive positions on the border of Medina, while the Argos Army is to continue pushing into Hanzen, hoping to advance into Kimlien. It is hoped that occupying Indrala's most valuable colony will force the latter out of the war, allowing Sekowan troops to fully focus on the Tripartite invasion.

Kasmenai taken by brutal force!
Sekowo's capital falls in hand of Tripartite troops.

A Tripartite tanks stands guard in a street of the Sekowan capital Kasmenai.

Kasmenai, Sekowan front - While Tripartite marines are clearing the dense forests and jungles of western Sekowo the mechanized and armoured forces have made a big push. At the cost of heavy losses the Sekowan defensive line around their capital city Kasmenai was shattered. Vanuku's tanks and mechanized troops and Deltarian infantry took a heavy beating from the entrenched Sekowans, who fight like the devil is whipping them. Superior numbers and equipment as well as a well-coordinated command eventually granted the Tripartite troops the upper hand. While the marines still fight off ambushes and clear the hundreds of hidden bunkers the other Tripartite troops are busy pacifying the capital. The Council of the Tripartite is hoping Sekowo will sue for peace now their capital is occupied, a strategy that was also used during the Greater Majatran War where Tripartite forces occupied the Zardic capital of Belgae. Sadly it did not force a surrender then and officers in the field are skeptical of the approach, fearing the halt of the offensive will grant Sekowo momentum. After the bloody losses in taking Kasmenai Triparite command is not so eager to start another offensive. The next step is for Indrala.

Bombings Continue, Push for Sekowo

Heavy bombings of the Sekowan supply route throughout the occupied territories are continuing, though with losses. Sekowo has begun fortifying its supply route with anti-air weapons. However, this fortification is drawing resources from the front, which consists of Sekowan troops that have largely overextended themselves. Despite the further problems our planes will have with Sekowan defenses, they will continue with their mission to wear down Sekowan troops.

Morale has drastically increased for the mass of troops gathered in Kimlien. The Yellow Dragon and Vermillion Bird Armies, considered the elite of the Indralan Imperial Army, have joined up in His Imperial Majesty's most loyal colony to make a massive push into Sekowo. Enemy troops must be tired, loosing supplies, and in anguish, especially after the loss of their capital, giving the quarter of a million troops the necessary advantage to end the war.

Allow the advance to begin! Retake the sacred territory and show Sekowo who is the real Master of the Gao-Showa!

Southern Front Collapses

December 3734 - The heavy Indralan bombardment of the Sekowan supply lines in the South has succeeded in reversing Sekowo's push into Kimlien. The Battle of Nam Thành was won by Indrala, with massive casualties inflicted on the under-supplied and over-extended Sekowan troops. Indrala has now launched a counter-attack, rapidly retaking Sekowan-occupied territory and pushing for the Sekowan homeland itself.

Sekowan Government Overthrown

Image
Sekowo's new government

May 3734 - With the capital city of Kasmenai under Tripartite occupation, the occupying forces have installed a collaborationist government in opposition to that of the Ishida Empress. The occupation government, led by the Grand Miko, has ordered the cessation of hostilities and called for the surrender of Sekowo to Indrala. With the tide of battle turning against Sekowo, the Imperial Armed Forces of Sekowo agreed to the ceasefire, while the Sekouo Teikoku Jinmin Rikugun, the paramilitary of the Imperial Socialist Party, continues to engage Tripartite forces in Sekowo. The war seems to have ended, and Sekowo lost.

Peace negotiations are currently ongoing in Gemun, the capital of Teoitan, retaken by Indralan troops in March. The main provisions of the negotiations are currently unknown, but it is likely that they will result in the transfer of all Sekowan colonies under Indralan control.
