Trigunia turns her back on Cildania.

Trigunian Peacekeepers Board a Trigunian Airbone Force Heavy Transport Aircraft.

With the Cildanian Civil-War taking place and the Government of the Cildanian Empire being kicked out of the Majatran Union and the government blowing up their own ports like a bunch of drunk idiots. The Trigunian Peacekeepers have decided to pull out to avoid the chaos. Intelligence come in that Ahmadist State of Badara called for Jihad in Cildania. Colonel Rustem Lyagushkin before boarding the heavy transport aircraft, stated that the Cildanians have caused their own destructions without the help of the rebels. He stated that they were a bunch a drunk idiots who decided to call a war for fun. Colonel Rustem Lyagushkin stated to the Cildanians that they were the caused of their own bloodshed do not blame this on anyone else but yourself". With Intelligence of the Barmenian force of 40,000 withdrawing from Namal Kbiir many people question why. Some say the Barmenians don't want to get caught whilst the Cildanian Government press the Self-Destruct button others say they were running from the "weather". Trigunia has officially turned her back on Cildania.

The Imperial Army of Cildania Replies

A Spokesman of the Imperial Army of Cildania replies: "We have not blown up all of the ports in the Empire, the only harbor that got blown up was the Namal Kbiir harbor. The High Command gave the authorization to use the blasting chambers of the harbors as it is a standard procedure during an invasion or imminent threat of an invasion".

Naval Battle of Qart Ramesh

Image

March 3873 - Rebel forces won their first major victory in the civil war against the Imperial regime in a naval battle near the rebel-occupied city of Qart Ramesh, defeating the anti-piracy armada led by Selucian imperator Lucius Cassius Aquilinus allied with the Imperial Amphibious Task Force . Aquilinus had been leading the Pirate War since 3861, winning a string of victories on the coasts of Pontesi, Barmenia, Vanuku, and Deltaria, and ultimately eliminating piracy throughout most of the Majatran Sea. The only remaining pirate strongholds remain the Ahmadi State in Badara and the rebel-controlled areas in Cildania. Selucian victory against Cildanian pirates would have brought the pirate war to an end, and Aquilinus is likely to have expected to use the pro-Selucian Cildanian regime as a staging ground for his triumphant return to the Republic after more than a decade of naval victories, following the example set by his mistress thirty years ago. Unfortunately for him, the Cildanian rebels managed to defeat his armada; using anti-ship missiles, the otherwise underfunded rebel and pirate fleet succeeded in sinking Aquilinus's own ship. The former Consul himself is presumed dead, while the rest of his navy retreated to Selucian waters. This rebel victory may be a turning point in the Civil War, as the governmental assault on Qart Ramesh may fail now that it lacks naval support.

The Humiliating Defeat and the Nasty Surprise

Image
It was a crushing blow to the Imperial war efforts when the Imperial Amphibious Task Force was defeated. A nasty surprise for the insurgent fleet soon followed, a major explosion could be seen when one of the 16 Naval strike Missiles penetrated the fleets anti-air defences and hit a cruiser. The 13th Artillery Brigade was one of the few brigades with a NSM-battalion. Only two NSM-Artillery Systems could be deployed. A landslide occured and blocked the road to the strategic deployment locations.

The Insurgent fleet managed to identify the location of the two NSM Artillery Systems due to the observable signals ermitted. It was soon followed with two cruiser missiles and the two deployed NSM Artillery Systems was destroyed.

The commander of the 13th Artillergy Brigade gave the order to bombard the Qart Ramesh harbor, to render it useless. The Imperial Airforce could no longer provide Close Air Support with the insurgents new long-range anti-air capabilities by the sea.

The intelligence reports of the insurgent fleet heading to Qart Ramesh was a blessing, the Imperial Army began it's offensive against the port of Qart Yam in Jilsun. After heavy losses the Imperial Army managed to secure the western port district of Qart Yam. With no port or harbor to resupply the insurgent fleet will sooner or later be out of commission.

The First Coastal Defence Revolutionary Brigade of the CPRA, having suffered the destruction of much of the port batteries by Imperial bombardment, now suffered a severe setback. So, in response, the Communist General in Qart Ramesh, Hanno Ammani, decided to issue an order to bombard any Imperial ships which sailed along the coast with heavy mortars.

Meanwhile, as Imperial troops closed in, a large detachment of reinforcements which had been expected arrived on the outskirts of Qart Ramesh. They slowly fought their way in, attempting to despatch the enemies who were attempting to retake the city

The 5th Mechanized Brigade Launches a Counter-offensive.

The unexpected attack by the communist insurgents forced the Imperial Army to regroup. The 5th Mechanized Brigade was in the Spearhead of the counter-offensive. The insurgents didn't stand a chance when they fought a modern and professional combined arms brigade. With minor losses the 5th Mechanized brigade recaptured the lost territory of the Qart Ramesh outskirts. The 13th Artillery brigade managed to locate the insurgent artillery with the counter-battery radar.

The 2nd Mechanized Brigade and the 9th Armored Brigade managed to stop the FAA advance near the town Lol, with major close air support the FAA had no choice but to fall back.

The High Command have deployed the 3rd Imperial Air Cavalry Divison to the Ylrit province.

The Qart Ramesh Inferno

Image
Aerial Photo of Qart Ramesh

By the 9th month, of the 9th day, of the 9th hour, the Commander of the 13th Artillery Brigade recieved the order, Omega. In Qart Ramesh Dasi ben Elyosef, a soldier fighting for the Cildanian People's Revolutionary Army had his morning pee, when he suddenly heard the whistling sound of bombs. He shouted ARTILLERY ARTILLERY and bursted into flames, this was no ordinary artillery shells. The 13th Artillery Brigade had been ordered to use incendiary artillery shells, in an indirect artillery attack. The incendiary bombings of the city did not stop until late in the evening, it was a spectacular view in the Cildanian dusk. During the night the 13th Artillery Brigade continued to bomb Qart Ramesh but with ordinary artillery shells.

In the fight against the FAA the airstrikes was a huge success thanks to the use of clusterbombs, the 2nd Mechanized Brigade and the 9th Armored Brigade begun their offensive against the FAA. The only chance of the survival of the FAA now would be a divine intervention. The 3rd Imperial Air Cavalry Divison was tasked to besiege and assault Namal Kbiir.

Rebellion Grows

Image
Hebilean militias have aligned with the Interim Government

September 3873 - The incendiary bombing of Qart Ramesh, causing widespread damage to the city and a large number of civilian casualties, is likely to bring swift victory to the governmental forces against the provisional capital of the Interim Government. Military victory does however come at a great cost to the Imperial regime, as the mounting civilian deaths have determined more groups to officially join the Interim Government and its rebellion. Most notably, the monarchist Cildanian National Coalition, commanding a sizable paramilitary and which had until now remained neutral in the conflict, finally pledged its allegiance to the People's Free State of Cildania in return of the latter's recognition of the legitimacy of the House of Thomas. The Hebilean Resistance Army, the ethnic militia of the Hebilean people, has also openly joined the rebellion; the Hebilean people had until now been cautiously supportive of the Imperial government due to its overthrowing the majority Cildanian regime, but the government's staunchly anti-religious policies are now turning the devoutly Departmental Hebileans into the arms of the People's Free State.

With the growth of the rebellion and outrage at civilian casualties comes increasing international isolation for the Most Serene Empire, as more and more nations now recognize the People's Free State as the legitimate government of Cildania, and the Majatran Union is in the process of doing the same. Dorvik, Saridan, and Deltaria are also likely to intervene on behalf of the besieged rebel capital, desiring to avoid further bloodshed in the city and condemning the continuation of civilian massacres.

Saridan Sends Military Advisors to Rebels

The Kanselier of Saridan, Thomas Van Locklan, has officially sent a group of military advisors to the Cildanian rebels. The advisors, led by General John Van Loot, have been instructed to assist in training rebels, and in advising the rebels on military strategy. Van Locklan has also stated that he would not rule out further military assistance, particularly air and naval support.

General Van Loot added this comment to reporters.

I think with our help, that the rebels can topple this awful government.
