Official Statement of the Communist Party

At this time, it must be noted that the Cildanian Communist Party is devoted solely to the keeping of peace, and furtherance of the peaceful revolution against bourgeoisie capitalism. However, facing a dire situation, the left in Cildania is prepared to beat back the beasts with bayonets and guns. We have risen and awaken a renewed Cildanian labor movement, which has the potential to further the worker's revolution.

We are saddened at the mild and lackluster cooperation of our once close allies, the Hosians, and the military government which we expected would be a step towards the establishment of socialism. We will in the future be deeply skeptical about cooperation with these questionable power peddlers.

We seek to help the Hebilean people, who as workers and members of the proletariat predominately, have been greivously neglected and abused by a series of hostile governments. These people cry out for freedom and revolution, and we will be glad to open dialogue with Hebilean groups in our country to build a foundation of trust and reliance based off socialism and cultural pluralism. We are more seperated by class than any other division

Offensive on Ancium

The Communist Party has sent a directive to make a final offensive on the Sibilla loyalists who remain in the Velieres strip. In addition, the party has begun recruiting and acquiring arms from friendly and cooperative workers. By the end of the year, the Communists will most likely have increased their forces by fifteen thousand to twenty thousand soldiers.

At this time, the Communists are sending a detachment of the People's Revolutionary Front, about 10,000 strong, making up a large part of their military force. Lead by a capable female General, General Dido bitt Hasdrubaal Siḣḣeb. Hardened by sexism and underestimation in her academy, she rose to recognition at the siege of Qart Ramesh, where she was shown to be filled with revolutionary ardor and ambition. She was quickly recognized by the progressive and pro feminist Cildanian Communist Party

With the command of Party Chairman bin Hiempsal Mekír, General bitt Hasdrubaal Siḣḣeb assembled the revolutionary forces near the port city of Namal Hasri, which was both becoming a growing stronghold of labor activism and communist support. Given plentiful rations and well armed, the forces are beginning to march towards the Velieres strip, to retake the final bastion of Sibilla loyalism. They were determined to retake Ancium

Trigunia Reinforcements arrive at Amat
The Bear Cavalry has arrived.
Image
Equipment of the Trigunian Army is seen being unloaded from a Landing ship in Amat.

After the brutal slaughter of Trigunian Logistical Forces onto the Ax to Ponei Trail, the nation was in pure anger. The Trigunian Army has stepped in after a large majority of Trigunians called for the Invasion of Hadiik-Mijidill. Some 10,000 troops had came straight from Trigunia to assist. Commander of the Trigunian Ground Forces in Cildania, Major General Miron Nikiforov stated that he welcomed the troops to Cildania. The Trigunian Forces who are currently spread across the Zabeh-Amat line, which has moved forward a bit are told to be pushing across the border of Hebil.

Those 35,000 troops have been told by Major General Nikiforov to split into two Battalions of 17,5000 men where 1 battalion will capture the towns of Yiwen, Yennayer and Kirsh and to also push back to form an iron curtain along the space of land between Mcebrureq and Ax once the three towns have been captured ,and the other Battalion will swing around and form an iron curtain from Kirsh to the Eastern Border City of Asad. Inside word say that Admiral Sonin and Major General Nikiforov were currently scetching up their plans for the invasion of Hadiik-Mijidill, the Ahmadi Bastion.

Vanuku observes, hunts pirates and awaits
Fleet roams the waters to the South-East of Cildania.

Image
Hebilean pirates caught by the Vanukean Navy.

April 3877 - When the bloody struggle against the Selucian apartheid regime ended the Vanukean Navy disengaged from their Deltarian allies and returned to their previous position, adrift to the South of Cildania. A week later the small fleet spurred back into action and started patrolling the Southern and South-Eastern coastline of the Qedarite nation. Yet when the Dorvish, Indralans and Trigunians landed the Vanukeans abstained from joining them. The cabinet is divided on the issue of interfering, the Hosian Conservatives primarily want troops on the ground to protect and assist Cildanian Hosians. Yet the extreme stance of the Apostolic Army and the secular stance of the military has divided the party. Meanwhile the Crown Party argues that united Hosian action is necessary against the Ahmadi extremist threat yet putting troops on the ground is not the solution. The top brass of the Vanukean Armed Forces seem to agree with this assessment, "by engaging them in a conventional manner we are doing exactly what the Caliph in Badara wants, he wants to unite all Ahmadites against the evil Hosian West. By denying them this open conflict we can instead try to arm and appease the local populace and spur them to expel the threat" said General Mark van Oldenveldt, Chief Strategist of the High Command in Wiel.

With parliament divided a compromise was reached, the fleet would instead observe, protect and cleanse the sea around Cildania. For the past year the fleet has been actively hunting pirate opportunists, the swift frigates and small patrol vessels together with the submarines make the perfect force for this anti-piracy initiative. Yet the future course of Vanuku's fleet is uncertain, perhaps it will take another nation to spur them into proper action.

Cildanian Army joins the fight
Armed forces to push on South Hebil

After the Armed Forces announced they would renounce the political control of the Free State, which they gained in the February Coup of 3876, the Cildanian military has now freed its hands and can participate in the attack on the Ahmadi State. The Army will join the Trigunian attack on South Hebil and its attempt to form a new iron curtain along the South of the Canton. The Cildanian Armed Forces will commit two divisions (around 40,000 troops) to the Trigunian attack on Yiwen, Yennayer and Kirsh, while an additional two divisions will reinforce the northern part of the Zabeh-Amat line.

The higher priority for the Armed Forces however is the Apostolic-Hebilean alliance, which controls a large part of Hebil and has established positions dangerously close to the capital. The Cildanian Army has therefore initiated a siege on the town of Suur, currently controlled by the Apostolic Army, while the Navy is keeping the town under blockade. If the Armed Forces emerge victorious, they will remove the threat of an Apostolic attack on Qart Qildar and will be able to commit more troops to the Hebil front.

Together with the State of Egelion, also the APChurch in Egelion has shown its support and compassion in this dire situation. The Church has assisted the Government in providing food and materials to the refugees and the Government of Cildania. The Friars of the Holy Name, a religious order founded in Egelion who is dedicated to help the poor and distressed, has been very active in providing meals and sanitary cares to the needy in Cildania. The impact of their presence on the Apostolic Army is yet to be assessed.

Independent Hebil
Hebilean militia declares independence

Image
The signatories of the Aheblun Declaration of Independence

October 3877 - The overwhelming victory of the pan-Qedarite Phalangist Party in the July elections, filling the power vacuum left by the military government's resignation, has turned the Hebilean Resistance Army even further away from Qart Qildar. The Hebilean militia, having established close ties with the Apostolic Army that itself controls territory in the close vicinity of the capital, reacted to the establishment of a pan-Qedarite regime by declaring independence for Hebil. The Declaration of Independence signed in the town of Ddehjer by the Hebilean Resistance Army and representatives of the Apostolic Army of Majatra established the Independent State of Aheblun, claiming sovereignty over the Canton of Hebil (known as Aheblun in Taheblit) as well as Hebilean majority enclaves throughout Cildania. As part of the deal with the Apostolic Army, the Apostolic Department of Cildania was established as the mandatory state religion of Aheblun, effectively turning the unrecognized state into a Hosian theocracy. The new state's declared enemies are the People's Free State as well as the Ahmadi State, and Hebilean leaders declared that, after the liberation of Mort Iskendra, currently under siege, they will focus their forces on removing the Caliphate from Hebil. The Independent State of Aheblun also called on the international community to recognize its independence, and announced it would be cooperating with Trigunian troops in their fight against the Ahmadi State, should they end their cooperation with the regime in Qart Qildar.

Indrala's Daring Assault

Senior General Zhou Jing stood before his staff and shook his head, he had given the order. It had been several months since the Indralan Imperial Army had captured Qart Yam and had established a massive beachhead and overtook territory and not returned it to the central government; it wasn't done as a conquering army but as a means to ensure safe supply lines and minimal casualties. Qart Yam had an established military port, an established airbase and everything was prepared for the Indralan's daring assault. The Imperial Army was positioned assault Hadiik-Mijidill and they were going to do it. Senior General Jing did not reach out to the allies because he knew the element of surprise was tantamount to the success of the operation, when the Indralans began their overwhelming assault on the city, they would join it. The city would not equal the total defeat of the Ahmadist State in Cildania but would be a large enough blow to ensure that they were on the run and then the Dorvik, Trigunians and the Cildanian Armed Forces could hunt them down like the rats that they are.

The order had been given. The 15th Airborne Army began parachuting into Hadiik-Mijidill, 4 divisions worth, nearly one hundred thousand Indralan paratroopers would be flown into the city of Hadiik-Mijidill with several armored and mechanized divisions attacking on land with naval forces and air forces pounding enemy positions throughout Hadiik-Mijidill. It was one of the largest operations in Indralan history and would be one of the largest logistical nightmares ever, Senior General Jing knew this, but he knew the fanatical assault in the August-Sage Kings name would not be sneezed at. They had to stop the radical Ahmadist before they attacked anywhere else, before their influence was growing elsewhere. The heel of the boot that stomps the roach out.

Vanuku sides with Independent State of Aheblun
Controversial move surprises allies, may cause future problems.

Image
Vanukean instructor training Hosian Hebileans in one of the newly established training camps in Aheblun.

November 3877 - The Principality of Vanuku has spurred into action after the Hebilean resistance declared their own Hosian state, the Independent State of Aheblun. At first the move seemed very surprising, since all of Vanuku's allies are simply attacking the Ahmadi State loyalists, while the Apostolic Army is openly fighting with the openly recognized Phalangite regime. Yet the cabinet of Vanuku is split between two religious parties, the zealous Hosian Conservatives and the moderate Crown Party. The Hosian Conservatives were especially vocal about protecting the Hosians in Cildania and the open war against their forces were reason enough for the Conservatives to push for an alignment with the newly declared state. The Crown Party is tolerant of all religions, even though a small majority of the party is Hosian they also have many Ahmadi members. Yet the pan-Qedarite movement is considered threatening by the Crown Party, especially with the personal union between Barmenia and Cildania, Barmenia is historically a sworn enemy of the Principality and the Crown Party has never forgotten the betrayals brought down upon Vanuku by the Barmenians.

To counter the rise of the pan-Qedarite movement and to strengthen the Hosians in Cildania the Principality has taken several decisive actions to involve themselves in the ongoing civil war. First the Fleet declared Mort Iskendra a "Vanukean neutral zone" and then proceeded to both blockade and invade the city held by the Cildanian Armed Forces. Vanukean forces did not engage the Cildanians and they were allowed to keep their weapons after declaring they would not fight the Vanukean take-over. Transport vessels then brought all Armed Forces members to Phalangite controlled ground. The Hebilean troops besieging the city were then allowed inside and garrisoned themselves all across the city, the Vanukeans have occupied both the old and new centre as well as the entire harbour. Several make-shift training camps have been established all across the Independent State of Aheblun and Vanukean instructors are now training the Hebilean Hosians as well as supplying them with firearms. The government of the Principality continues to insist they are "arming the Hebileans to fight the Ahmadi State" yet Vanukean firearms were already spotted during Hebilean engagements of government forces. There are persistent rumours that Vanuku might involve itself on the ground as well, as several frigates have returned to Vanuku to escort a large fleet of troop transports. The reinforcements are far larger than necessary to occupy a city like Mort Iskendra. The reaction of the international community may not be as positive as the Principality might hope.
