The unanimous Declaration of Sorbanika and Gokistan

We the people of the Social Republic of Likatonia are declaring our independence from the Republic because of its inhumane acts against it and denying the peoples freedom of expression, and religion. Therefore we deem it necessary for its survival to separate it from the Republic.

The Republic of Likatonia is now in its darkest hour. The Social Republic of Likatonia (Sociālā Republika Likatonia) and The Republic of Likatonia (Republika Likatonija) now once brothers and sisters turned enemies are engaged in a great civil war. The Capital of the Social Republic of Likatonia is Tiovor Sorbanika and the Republic of Likatonia is the same as before. The war will last forever until a decisive military or diplomatic victories are made.

LVP Forms in Reaction to Civil War

The historic Likatonijas Vienotiba Partijas (Likaton Unity Party) has been formed once again in the nation's capital of Brīvībapils, Hukatai. The historic party once again found tremendous initial support after division has torn across Likatonian society following the recent massacre of 123 policemen and civilians in the city of Tiovor in the Eastern County of Sorbanika. The first press release from the party has condemned the violence in Sorbanika, and announced that Mikolis Ozolin has been named the party's Eastern Deputy and critic of Internal Affairs. He has been sent to the alleged "Social Republic of Likatonia" to discuss issues with Premier Marx.

Police Control in Sorbanika Crumbling:
Minister of internal Affairs Announces Police Reinforcement from Lukaron



The National Policija's Sorbanika Regional Department has declared the situation dire and announced that law enforcement would soon be overwhelmed by "utter lawlessness." According to statements released by the policija today, the county has seen an unprecedented 560% surge in criminal activity within the year 3954. Sorbanika Policija officers recently conducted a series of raids in Tiovor, home of the protests, and were met with "increasingly armed and dangerous criminal elements."

In the past month alone, Sorbanika policija have detained 105 Sorbanikan citizens suspected of treason and transferred them to holding cells in Hukatai. But the policija have recently been meet with "significantly armed and dangerous" opposition when conducting these raids. Leaks have revealed that 5 police officers have died in the past month alone in conducting these raids, with 40% of the stings resulting in a shoot-out.

Worryingly, some are suspecting elements of the Gokitan Regional Department to be complicit in the treason of rebellious elements. According to special agents with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a new investigation into the region details a creeping corruption into the police ranks for sympathy for the rebel forces. Ten police officers were charged last month with aiding treason when they were caught in a sting giving weapons to rebel forces.
