GOVERNMENT FLEES TO SAKVEJO, SENATE DECLARES ITSELF AS SUPREME AUTHORITY
Following an attempt by the Democratic Party to arrest leading syndicalist politicians and notables the Senate declared a National Assembly and attempted to wrangle control over the executive.

The response of the cabinet, along with the military and the empowered IBI, was to attempt to arrest the Senate and dissolve it. That failed and the Senators escaped arrest and armed citizens prevented the government from maintaining order. The cabinet and Emperor were swiftly evacuated to Sakvejo where a "Government of National Stability" was proclaimed with Field Marshall Ludoviko Vilhelmo declared as Supreme Commander of All-Zardugal and as acting head of government. The official government has moved to take control of most of the South and West while the Senate has control of the North and East.

Queen Hrstín states that Emperor is 'legitimate head of the government of Zardugal'; declares war 'holy crusade for the morality of Terra'

Eksandr- In the aftermath of the death of her husband and the resumption of the domestic fallout from the proclamation of recognition, it has been reported that Her Grace the Queen Mother has sent her envoy from the Terran Patriarchal Church to speak with the Papez on her behalf regarding the ongoing Civil War. Following the letter of the proclamation which called the Zardic ruler " Emperor of Zardugal, Autocrat of the Augustans, King of the Mallans, Patrician of Dolinka and Voice of the People, disciple of Boh". The Queen mother has said that the Emperor is the 'only legitimate head of the government' of Zardugal'.

Aides have pondered a possible visit by the Queen mother, a notably pious woman and religious patron and protector of the nascent Terran Patriarchal community which has gathered in the village around Lukjai castle, to Dolinka. Should that happen, many expect her to call for aid in the form of assistance on the side of the Emperor.

Government Begins Ingomo Offensive
Following the relocation of the government almost all men in the government-held regions are being conscripted to fight as around half the regular army defected to the National Assembly. Swiftly the Zardic Military has begun trying to take Venetio, Fortreso and other cities in the Ingomo governorate but have faced staunch resistance from armed citizens who put up barricades and are fighting tooth and nail, armed with mostly handguns and makeshift shotguns.

Prince Juhn III Declared as Zardic Emperor
The Zardic government has declared Juhn III as Emperor of Zardugal amongst several other reforms. Changes include "temporarily" making the IBI above the law and dissolving many local government institutions including removing a governor for being a syndicalist.

Task Force Southern Shield has deployed south from its naval base in Beitenyu off the Zardic coastline. Its currently taking defensive positions and establishing a defensive perimeter and sphere around its position off the coast of the Zardic coast but still inside of international waters. Task Force Southern Shield is under strict orders to defend itself, and F-35C Tempest Fighters performing Combat Air Patrols remain inside of the HNS-Queen Sarah operating range outside of Zardic airspace. Current standing orders are to assist the evacution efforts of any Hutorian citizens still looking for it and any Zardic VIP looking for refuge.

Furthermore the Hutorian 6th Airborne Division has been transported from Hutori to Beitenyu where it awaits further orders.

Venetio Taken by Government, Government Forces Rebuffed at Fortreso
Government forces have taken the Ingomo city of Venetio with heavy damage being done to the city during the fighting. Several factories lay in ruin and administrative buildings burnt to the ground as government planes firebombed them. Firefighting services were unable to halt the flames due to the disruption caused by the war. At Fortreso government forces were forced to retreat as the city's residents overwhelmed the military.

Former Emperor Antono I Missing
The deposed Emperor Antono Alexandria was reported missing amongst claims that he was killed to stop him from ever being restored to the throne.

Field Marshall Ludoviko Vilhelmo Loses Vote of Confidence - Valora Once Again Secretary of State
Following the slow progress of the war and reports that the National Assembly is organising its own army the acting-Head of Government has been forced out of office but has been instated as a figurehead Regent.

Government Claims That New Prime Minister is "illegitimate"
The government has officially condemned the National Assembly-elected Prime Minister as "illegitimate" and described the politician as a "terrorist in civilian clothing".

Military-Governor of Kalvario Calls For "A Return to Normality"
The new Military-Governor of Kalvario, Major-General Miĥaelo Rubena, has called on the government to establish its own legislative assembly in areas it controls and to return to "Democracy, Capitalism and Normality". He also offered to personally command troops in the Governorate. The Major-General was promoted to the post after gaining popularity as a moderate and after successfully organizing the defence of the region from looters and rioters following the collapse of the regime in the northern and eastern regions. His promotion is seen by many as an attempt by the government to stave of a potential political rival.

The Confederation of the Republican Left has formed a paramilitary to defend the Republic. The Paramilitary, coined the Black Guard to denote it's anarchism, is made up of three brigades of 5,000 troops. The troops have been sent to make an attempt to retake Venetio.

King Christopher of Barmenia rumored to be tapped as possible Zardic Emperor; possibility of military aid.

Dolinka- In a turn of events that took many by surprise, courtiers to her Grace, the Queen Mother have said that she has pressed his Holiness the Papez to name her son Emperor of Zardugal. According to sources close to the Dowager Queen, she also asked for funds from the Assembly in order to raise an army to fight on the side of 'rightful leader of the Zardic people'.

Cats and Paws Militia, Crimson Crusade and others given payment to fight in ' Crusade for Boh'.

Despite the claims of asking for funding from the Assembly, it has been reported that Her Grace has already lent millions of Barmenistans from her own savings to pay for the services of the Crimson Crusade and Cats and Paws Militia in the Zardic Civil War. Her instructions were reportedly to 'secure the realm for my son's rule' but that 'they were free to...if they so desired...purge it of those whom they viewed to be against the will of Boh'.

Strike Broken Up By IBI
The Internal Bureau of Investigation cracked down on a strike at a munitions factory by arresting those involved and then half were whipped until bone could visibly be seen and the other half were forcibly blinded.

National Congress Called By Government
The government called up a purely consultative Congress to advise the government on administrative matters. The Congress is composed of elected deputies and some appointed members, including military officers and, in an appeal to local socialists, representatives of local unions. The makeup of the party is 100 Democratic Party Congressmen, 5 Pro-Government Socialist independents, 45 opposition Congressmen from various local parties and 50 trade union representatives and military officers.

Democratic Party "Worried about Barmenian intervention"
A Democratic Party official, who wished to remain anonymous, has gone on record to state that Barmenia may end up defeating both the government and the socialists and that the government is "deeply concerned" about the possibility of intervention by Barmenia.

Government Calls Upon Hutori To "Live up to its obligations"
Foreign Minister Pipra Esperanta has released a public statement on behalf of the Zardic Royal Cabinet calling upon Hutori to intervene fully. The full statement is:

We call upon our allies in these hard times to assist the legitimate government. We were elected by the Zardic people and it is the will of the people for the Empire to remain. The Zardic people wish for autocracy, wish for security, but no socialist government can offer that. We call upon the Hutori government to live up to its obligations as our allies and intervene!

OOC: Apparently Zardugal has an army of around 400,000 and then has an airforce etc. Plus with the draft... We should probably say around 600,000 regular troops - included drafted soldiers etc. each and then work out navies etc.
