The Lion strikes fiercely!
Deltarians and Jelbanians surrounded in southern Vanuku.

Image
Vanukean airborne troops honoured as heroes after creation of two large pockets.

January 3998 - The weak defence in the South of Vanuku turned out to be a ploy of the brightest military minds of the Principality. After times of easy advancement the invaders thought they had easy pickings in the South, yet then the Coburan warriors started attacking their homefront and the invaders got more cautious. Yet still Vanuku offered little resistance. That all changed with the enactment of the second phase of the now famous Operation Dry Wind. With the executive order signed the large Vanukean war machine really rumbled into action. The armoured divisions cut off the Deltarians and Jelbanians all across their Western and Eastern flanks, making sure they could not mass together to put up effective resistance. The outdated Deltarian tanks and lack of Jelbanian armour made the tank battles decisive for Vanuku.

On the Southern line, the border of Vanuku and Jelbania, the true heroes stepped forward. The largest airborne operation in Vanukean history was launched to effectively cut off the invaders from their homes. As soon as the soldiers from the sky had established a perimeter the armour and mechanized infantry rolled in to keep the enemy at bay. With the second phase of Operation Dry Wind completed over 2/3rds of the invasion force is cut off into two pockets: the Skalkémak Pocket in the Western side and the Papel Pocket in the far Eastern side. The Vanukeans were unable to trap the third invasion force but at least managed to push them back considerably.

Now we must wait for the third phase of Operation Dry Wind, Wiel has not commented on how this will commence but we can only guess that the military minds of the nation will only accept the full surrender of the invaders. With them on their knees the path towards the Jelbanian steppes will be wide open.

The Bear strikes back with much fury.
Trigunia mounts simultaneous counter-offensives.
Image
Troops of the 25th Naval Infantry Motor Rifle Brigade during the Pincer Movement against Radin.
15th August, 3998

In a circumstance which was never seen by the Hutorians. The Tide had turned. The bear has regained complete control of her mind and is now mounting a fierce offensive against the Stag and the Pelican.

During the early hours of this morning, the silence of Tirvoslavl was broken after a continuous stream of bombardment from naval assets in the Sea of Deliverance. The Mad Dog Ocean and Green Sea Fleet who escaped the crawl of death in Majatra positioned a Battlecruiser and a Guided Missile Frigate to carry out the bombardment of the city. This was done in order to what the Collegium of War calls,” making the city soft enough for the Airborne and Naval Infantry Brigades to chew on. The 2nd and 4th Airborne Corps launched a dazzling assault on the city involving some fifty-thousand men. Naval Bombardment cleared the way for the airborne corps and were expected to be precise as Satellite imagery was provided to warships from the Prikaz of Cosmodromes. Urban warfare will be difficult for the Airborne for Tirvoslavl’s tight corners and thin streets would make it seem impossible for any army to conquer. Currently the 2nd and 4th Airborne Corps are fighting their way through the city, with close-air-support from the carrier, TKVM-Petrovgrad.

In the Radin front, the movement of the Radinot line in a westerly direction and the artillery strike of several targets in Eastern Radin and in Tirvoslavl, was one of the first phases of what was known as Operation Silent Eagle. From the North, Lieutenant General Abramoff and the 11th and 12th Naval Infantry Corps launched a blitzed attack on Northern Radin, kilometres away from Sambov and Lieutenant General Farid Gorbunov and the 25th Naval Infantry Motor Rifle Brigade, the 17th and 18th Naval Infantry Motor Rifle Brigades, the 11th and 12th Naval Infantry Motor Rifle Brigades hit the Radin Coastline from the South, kilometres to the right of Heinrichgrad. It was a simultaneous assault, for as the assault on Tirvoslavl and the flank on Radin was undergoing, the Radinot line, along with its three hundred and five thousand troops and advanced to the West. General Feliks Pomelnikov did not hesitate to push everything he had into Radin.

The Introduction of the Kozaks to the battle, also changed the course of the counter-offensive, now with the Kozaks here, General Pomelnikov’s men are working hand in hand with Lieutenant General Chekudayev’s Kozaks who boosted the troop count on the Western front from two-hundred and five thousand (205,000) to three-hundred and five thousand (305,000) and on the Eastern Front, ninety-five thousand (95,000) to one-hundred and ninety- five thousand (195,000).
The Cyber Defence Force along with several Independent Electronic Warfare Brigades flooded the radio ways with traffic, scattering radio frequencies and jamming telecommunication devices. It is reported that a satellite was used to conduct one of the mentioned practices.

The Air-Force came out in full colours as it pounded the Hutorian emplacements in Radin, Brakav and Zarvospol. Strategic Bombers were refitted with cruise-missiles and sent to bomb seemingly anything that did not bare a Trigunian insignia. The Air-force was cautious of its wallet though, for the smart bombs put some massive holes in the budget but later it adapted to dumb-bombs due to their affordability and that they are easily accessible. The 2nd Independent Guards Long-Range Reconnaissance Aviation Regiment, the 1st Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Division, the 2nd Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Division and the 3rd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division played crucial parts in the air-forces assistance to the advancing forces.

On the Zarvospol Front, the 1st Airborne Corps were successful in capturing Gorniy Zamok after the Cheya Counter-Offensive was a success, with New Endralonians falling back to Gorniy Zamok, but Intelligence reports state that the New Endralonians are actually gathering in Stary Kautsky, it is reported that the Airborne has conducted reconnaissance flights over the city and confirmed a heavy New Endralonian presence in the city. High Command has diverted the Kozaks to Stary Kautsky to clash with the New Endralonians. The Anantonese Sea Fleet is making its engaging the New Endralonian navy in the Sea of Deliverance for it must prepare for defensive tactic that was not made public. The Bear has regained her strength and is now striking back at the Pelican and at the Stag as the tides turn into Trigunia’s favor.

Disaster!

After the crushing defeat at Cheya at the hands of the Trigunians the remainder of the army has retreated to the last New Endralonian stronghold in Stary Kautsky. After the small pockets of New Endralonian soldiers that remained in Gorniy Zamok the only remaining city in the hands of the New Endralonians is the city of Stary Kautsky, to call this a crushing defeat is an understatement, the New Endralonian army's plan was to swiftly conquer the eastern island by blitzing Cheya and Gorniy Zamok and then moving to the rest. With the heavy resistance at Cheya the New Endralonians reinforced the 25.000 attacking force at Cheya by sea with 5.000 extra troops and send extra equipment and 10.000 troops to Gorniy Zamok where 25.000 troops easely captured the city. The plan was to blitz further and so the army left behind 5.000 troops with armoured vehicles to protect the city whilest 30.000 troops were to march up to Stary Kautsky and then move to Cheya.

Sadly before they could secure more ground to move to Cheya they were cut off by the Trigunian army who had surrounded Cheya, the New Endralonian command tried to send in more troops but the Trigunians has engadged the weak New Endralonian navy. The New Endralonian navy tried to escape but were swiftly assaulted by the Trigunian navy, the 2 submarines left the battle quickly to retreat to New Endralons harbour at Balnavaros, Zyldavia. 7 Frigates and 3 Corvettes went into the battle, severly outnumbered the navy had no other choice but to surrender after the Trigunian assault destroyed 1 corvette and 2 Frigates.

With no supplies comming in, airsuperiority lost by the destruction of the airplanes by the Trigunians the remainder of the airforce of 50 planes were no more than 20 and flew back to New Endralon to be repaired. The army is surrounded and besieged. 30.000 men with the 10.000 survivors of the Cheya battle who's moral are low and most are wounded or shocked or even tired from the routing to the city. If the Indralan army doesnt come fast it might be the end for the invasion force. The 2nd and 4th tank division ((OOC: 50 tanks each)) are also in the city.

The army desperate to hold out has its attack helicopters ready to strike any army that is to arrive whilest the soldiers will take cover in civillian buildings and destroying vital infrastructure to enter the city, the soldiers will also occupy key elements and position snipers and soldiers in buildings. The commander has given orders to the troops to even take civillian hostages if neccessary.

The New Endralonian government has asked the Indralans for help and has allowed the Indralans to make full usage of the Confederation, giving them full military acces. The government is already ordering defenses to be put in order. Any invasion from Trigunia will be met with fierce resistance, that is if the last bastion of the Pelican falls before the Dragon decends from the sky.

All at once the momentum had shifted. The war was turning, and General Harrison Ross knew the time was over. He had to get his troops out while they had a chance.

The Hutorians had been expecting the hammerblow of course; they hadn't been foolish... and the Hutorians fought back as good as they gave.

In the weeks leading up to Operation Silent Eagle, the Hutorians had been stocking an Army of their own for an attempt to smash the Radinot Line; while the Trigunian assault had occurred before they had had the chance the Hutorians had still brought significant forces over to the mainland for their "final" assault.

The 2nd and 3rd Mechanized Divisions and 16th Reserve Combat Brigade had been imported from the Eastern Army Command while the 13th Mechanized and 6th Armoured Divisions and the 20th Reserve Combat Brigade had been brought in from the North and while additional armoured formations had been planned, at this point it was lucky Hutori had what they had.

In Trigunia's frigid north while the Radinot Line was advancing from the west, General Torrance knew it was divided between fighting him and fighting General Bishop down south; while an impressive 305,000 troops General Torrance's Second Army had been ready for this. 2nd Marine Division had been sent back to occupy Morozorota and keep their lineline open, Second Army would retreat and be extracted along the north western coastline. In the meantime, I Marine Corps had been reformed into IV Corps and bulked up with the 15th and 16th Combat Brigades, reinforcing 1st Marine Division. Those 50,000 troops, along with the 20,000 troops and supporting tanks of the 5th Armoured Division faced entirely off against the northern thrust of the Radinot Front and would fight the fighting retreat back to Morozorota and the coast. Lieutenant General Abramoff's attempted flanking of Second Army however was met with heavy resistance from the 10th Mechanized Infantry Division which gave as it good as it got against the 11th and 12th Naval Infantry Corps. The Hutorian 5th Fighter Wing, which had flown in from Hutori fought a battle of air denial over the retreating Second Army. They never ventured close enough for powerful Trigunian ground based AA to target them, instead keeping the Trigunians from bringing airsupport to bare against the Second Army while launching airstrikes at ground forces that attempt to overrun them.

In the south General Justin Bishop was a livid man; he had stood triumphantly over the ruins of Heinrichgrad, and now he was being forced to fight back through them and defend them while his forces retreated to Rodshyadam and prepared to retreat from the mainland. To say the least that he was angry went without saying. His First Army was still the most powerful Hutorian Ground Force fighting in Radin, I and II Corps had been fighting a harsh retreat back to Heinrichgrad and prepared to effectively destroy it in their final retreat back to Rodshyadam. Further to the point 2nd and 3rd Mechanized Infantry Divisions had been formed into V Corps and 13th Mechanized Infantry Division and 6th Armoured Division had been formed into VI Corps and formed into the new Fourth Army. They had been in the midst of forming and preparing for shipping out for their offensive against the Radinot Line when the Trigunian counter-offensive had begun. Lieutenant General Gobournov had the unfornuate fate of directly facing off against the full might of the Hutorian Fourth Army 80,000 troops which counter offensived against the attempted coastal assault and had ever intention of pushing it right back into the sea. In addition the 4th Fighter Wing perfomed the same service in the south here and the 5th did in the north, playing air denial against the Trigunian Air Force, giving First Army the chance to pull back, and pounded the foolish troops that challenged the Fourth Army.

On Brakav Lieutenant General Woodbury had already read the writing on the wall; the assault on Trivoslavl was clever; but entirely in Trigunian fashion, an assault after they had assumed they had achieved all of their goals. Hutorian air defences hadn't been asleep at the switch, regardless of what the Trigunians had wished and thought, and it was near impossible to hide the deployment of 50,000 airborne soldiers and the aircraft they had been going to drop them... and on that point General Woodbury had allowed it to happen; most of his 4th Mechanized Division had pulled out from their positions in city as the Trigunians had begun their naval bombardment... and instead been replaced by his veteran 9th Airborne Division. They fought a hard and grinding campaign of attrition against the Trigunians in close urban combat... and the air was far from Trigunian real estate. Both Hutorian Aircraft Carriers of the Northern Operations Fleet were still very much in play and the 2nd and 3rd Carrier Wings, along with the already deployed 3rd Fighter Wing, fought back against the singular aircraft carrier of the Trigunian Navy, denying them the air, and more importantly; the airport where forces could be brought in en masse. Instead the 9th Airborne fought a grinding retreat, attempting to wear the Trigunians down as Hutorian Naval bombardment as well hammered the city, its airport and fields. General Woodbury had ever intention of making Trivoslavl useless for the interim future to the Trigunian military until his colleagues on the mainland had pulled out of Heinrichgrad and then be out of Trigunian operational range. As they were doing that, the 4th Mechanized held open the corridor back to Malchik while the 2nd Armoured Division pulled back as well, and the 20th Combat Brigade held Malchik itself allowing Third Army to retreat en masse.

The bear may have been striking back, but no bear could catch a Stag... and General Woodbury had ever intention of living to fight another day.

(Sorry everyone. School, etc.)

The Pontesian front continues

Eksandr- Following the end of preparations, the government has reportedly moved forward with a planned attack on Trifluz. It is expected by many observers to be the first test of the new government in Dawnstar following the death of the previous Duke. Nonetheless, with little backing from foreign allies, few expect the Pontesians to hold out against the Barmenian onslaught.

BLOG: A TINYNESS HAIRY ON THE BORDER IS GETTING

HELLO EVERYONE, IS HEIJ!

If you are thinking like my mothers is thinking that Heij is dying because he is not writing in recent, you are stupids just like nagging old hag! Be leaving me be, womans, I am busyness!

I am making many tears to relating that the I am not having bought new vans. My quality lifestyle is still premiums for Jelbania but in Jelbania premiums is not meaning what it is used to mean.

For instance it is used to be that Heij was being carnal with beautifuls every sun down like so:

Image
Heij's old premiums womans

But now thanks to violent Mouzij from Wiel all premiums womans are not being carnal with Heij because they are instead being dead. So Heij is being carnal with less beautiful womens every sun down like so:

Image
Heij is having needs, OK?

They are very cruelness, the Mouzijs :( :( :(

Our hordes are bringing great shames in Vanuku lands. They are fighting in machines and they are smoking Kalistani gems and they are losing to Wrnukék Mouzij who jump from sky. We are halted and we are losing grounds now. Vanuku soldiers in machines are punching into Baniray steppe and holding Rilmos water-Jelbéks hostage with their boats. How are we to be getting our cannabis now?! The cartels are loving it but Heij is paying out of his buttholes for his weed :(

We are not being without hope! Our H'án is leading resistances across the northern steppe.

Image
H'án Intrsmor Azisrmko pointing to where Vanukus are

Mens, women, childrens, and horses are all fighting sneaky-like to kill as many Vanukus as possible while dying as littles as possible. Is maybe seeming like they should always be doing so, but oh well. Heij is still sitting in Perimor sipping coffees and smoking expensive weeds. Heij is good inspiration, many Jelbéks are reading Heij's bloggings and are killing many Vanukus. Heij is doing his part.

We are hearing that the Vanukus are taking heavy deaths in this manner. They are finding our northern dry lands are less suitable for them than they are for horses. They are feeling stings of Jelbék scorpions and bites of Jelbék womens (who are very good biters, I am telling you).
Just a bunch of shit.

Deltaria retreats as pressure mounts on two fronts
Image

Presedinte Boris Avram has ordered the immediate retreat of all Deltarian forces able to make the journey back to the Deltarian homeland. Increased pressure on both fronts, in western Jakania Deltaria has faced utter defeat at the hands of Ahmadi resistance and the war in Vanuku has been a complete failure so much so that the Deltarian high command doubts the majority of their forces will make it home safely. Unless something radical happens it is likely that Deltaria will consider surrendering in the current conflicts.Boris Avram's approval ratings have fallen to all time lows amidst this military failure.

Fall of Bier Qassem

Image
Badaran troops celebrating the liberation of Bier Qassem

After a prolonged siege that lasted for several years, the city of Bier Qassem, the last major Cildanian stronghold in Badara, has fallen to the forces of the Badaran rebels, although the Badaran naval blockade of the city was defeated by the Privateer forces led by Admiral Resid Pasha. With Badaran forces lacking naval support, the siege became protracted, which crucially meant that Cildania was able to continue to supply the defenders. This was however not enough to prevent the fall of Bier Qassem, and the city is now under Badaran control. When it became clear that Cildania would not afford to maintain its stronghold, it hastily assembled an evacuation fleet, mostly using merchant ships and even fishing boats, and successfully evacuated most of the defenders. The retreat was nonetheless accomplished under chaotic conditions, particularly as a flood of refugees was fleeing in the opposite direction.

Overall this is a great victory for newly independent Badara, and it largely puts an end to the Cildanian imperial designs on the neighboring islands. This defeat also has a major political impact in Cildania. Upon their arrival to Cildania, the commanders of the Bier Qassem defense force were all crucified - an estimated 300 officers were put to death after being accused of military incompetence. On the other hand, the Cildanian Privateers received much praise for their role in breaking the naval blockade and successfully evacuating most of the troops, and now that Cildania has no other navy to speak of, its corsairs have gained increased influence in Cildanian internal politics

Image

OOC: I know the Badaran-Cildanian war isn't, strictly speaking, a part of the World War, but I thought I'd wrap up this RP. I consulted with Benkito before writing this post.

Black Tortoise Fleet Arrives in Support of Hutori and the Confederation

Having traversed the waters between Kalistan and Dolgaria, the Indralan Black Tortoise Fleet has finally arrived to aid the Hutorians and the Indralan termed NEKKs in their fight against the Trigunian Bear. All haste was made in traversing the icy waters of the North. In addition to the ships lost on the Kalistani front, two cruisers were forced to turn back to Indrala for repairs. Despite the loss, it is hoped that the combined efforts of the Hutorians, Indralans, and NEKKs will be able to chain the Bear once and for all.

Beyond the Black Tortoise Fleet, the Blue Dragon Fleet has set sail for Trigunian waters to aid the weary Black Tortoise. The fleet, similar in composition, places a great emphasis on submarine warfare. The goal will be to engage the Trigunian navy on the surface, from the air, and from below, destroying it enough to allow for a potential Indralan invasion of their motherland. Only time will tell if the strategy will succeed.

Vanuku pushes into Jelbania
Over 450,000 prisoners caught in southern Vanuku.

Image
A tank of the 1st Armoured Division (Eerste Pantserdivisie) presents the standards of the vanquished.

June 4003 - Wiel has confirmed that the last pockets in souther Vanuku have been rounded up, increasing the total tally of prisoners of war to 450,000, of which there are 290,000 Deltarians and 160,000 Jelbanians. The commander of Vanuku's forces personally spoke to the press at a bombastic ceremony and said that "with less losses than expected we have captured more enemy troops than anticipated". The POW's have been moved to camps all across Vanuku, putting an extra strain on the logistics of the Principality. This hampered the advance of the Vanukeans, who's "final push forwards" has been in the works for three years now. But it seems that the stalemate and siege has ended as the Vanukean armoured vehicles have crossed the border and are now deep into the steppes. The Jelbanians on horseback are no match for the tanks, APC's and IFV's that the Vanukeans are bringing and when they run it seems that the fierce 'red berets', the airborne troops, are always nearby to seize the day and slaughter the horsemen for the glory of the Principality.

With the Deltarians on full retreat and the Jelbanians struggling to find their momentum for a counter-attack it seems that it wont take long for the Vanukeans to reach the crown jewel of their Jelbanian invasion: Baofluz. For now however Wiel has confided to the press that they will maintain a careful approach. "We shall not be tricked as they let themselves be tricked" said the Commander-General at the conference. To celebrate the glorious defeat of so many invaders their standards were brought to the capital, where the Royal Guard escorted the tank of the heroes of the Papel Pocket. Lieutenant Bosma and his crew used their tank to destroy a grand total of twenty-two Deltarian tanks, four Jelbanian APC's and were personally cited for routing an entire regiment of Jelbanian steppe horsemen. The entire crew was awarded the Lion's Cross and their battle-proven tank was used to present the standards of the vanquished to the Prefect and Prince.
