Rutanian 2nd Civil war

Postby FPC » Thu Jan 19, 2017 8:47 am

OOC:Hi, as the nationmaster of Rutania the libertarian party has asked me to run the RP for the civil/ international war. And they have sent me some ideas that im going to run past all parties involved and see if they accept it or want any changes maded to it.

Garudidos has promised to support Ardinia and Saridan has as well (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... 9#messages) that's why this almost becomes an international war, but I think it's best when eventually Rutania conquers Ardinia, ending the Civil War in a win for Rutania. That of course doesn't mean it has to go easy. Rutania easily gains ground in the south of Ardinia because of its flat landscapes. In Bozarland however it comes to a halt, because Ardinian forces have hid in the mountains and don't let the Rutanian forces pass. The coast is easily gained by Rutania, that establishes a so called 'blockade' trough which military support, extra troops etc. are not easy to be delivered. The Ardinian capital will probably have to fall somewhere in two years, when Rutania has made a push trough the mountains in Bozarland and have invaded the coast of Ardinia. Also Dundorf has backed Rutania as a whole and this could lead to the situation escalating into an international war, ie. Dundorf and Rutania vs Gadurios and Ardinia. Now Dundorf has a very strong military and Rutania is much bigger than Ardinia, so I think Gardurios and Ardinia would probably sustain heavy losses and eventually be pushed back and forced to surrender.

OOC: I think "2nd Rutanian CIvil War" would be a better name.

Though I cannot speak for the government of Luthori, my party could run on supporting Rutania (as our country has trade relations and business interests at stake). If brought to power, Luthori could lend some military support as well. In any case, I think Luthori, being a regional power in Artania, must be involved in some way.

The Rutanian Daily reports:
The war has officially started. Rutanian troops invaded the south of Ardinia and quickly advanced trough the flatlands in the south of Ardinia. Ardinian troops originally tried to stop them by building trenches, but thanks to multiple air assaults and tanks these trenches were quickly overrun. The next line of defence was the Ardian River, the second river south of Mirigodon. Ardinian troops delayed Rutanian troops, but couldn't stop the Rutanian troops from Kragusrov, who pushed Ardinian troops further back but they stopped them where the area became less rural and the hills were shown to be a major struggle for Rutanian troops who came under heavy fire of Ardinian troops left to defend the southern border. Feynport and Mirigodon seem close for Rutanian troops and Rutanian generals will probably try to seize them as fast as possible. But the Rutanian troops first need to get past the Lahm river and the Ardian river, which have shown to be an enormous struggle. In Feynport and Mirigodon are also troops from Gaduridos, which will show that Rutanian troops are facing an yet to come bloody struggle in those cities.

In the west Ardinian troops have invaded parts of Bozarland and Kragusrov who hold a natural defence, the Black Rock Mountains. It's reported Ardinian troops have invaded them and are using them to hold up any advancing Rutanian troops. This could seriously delay the advance of Rutanian troops in the West, certainly now the Saridan airforce has bombarded roads and railways leading trough the mountains. Small Rutanian militias have withdrawn out of the mountains into the more rural bozarland and are waiting for additional troops to arrive.

Rutanian ships are trying to form a blockade, but thanks to Gaduridos' navy they're being hold up and only in the south of the Ardinian coast is currently an effective blockade.

The current losses have been incurred:
Southern Ardinia, the battle of the flat lands (resulted in Rutanian win):
Ardinian losses: 12,876 soldiers and 3 tanks
Rutanian losses: 5,923 soldiers and 2 tanks
at the Lahm river, western Ardinia, 30 miles (~50 kilometre) (resulted in Rutanian win):
Ardinian losses: 4,287 soldiers
Rutanian losses: 2,532 soldiers and 1 tank
At the black rock mountains (resulted in Ardinian win):
Ardinian losses: 50 soldiers
Rutanian losses: 200 militia troops
The battle at the coast of Ardinia (tactical Rutanian loss):
Ardinian losses: 4 ships
Gaduridos' losses: 2 ships
Rutanian losses: 5 ships

Solentia is set to recognize the independence of Ardinia, but it remains to be seen what this will mean in regards to the conflict.

THE ARDINIA DAILY
Libertarian Party retreats out of the Rutanian Parliament

All Libertarian MP's and former MP's have retreated to Ardinia. On a congress in Newtonia, Ardinia, they proclaimed their current Party Leader George Madison as President of the Republic Ardinia. The current Ardinian parliament has been disbanded and a parliament will be formed shortly. His cabinet picks aren't known yet, but different sources say that he tries to sway the Conservative Party and the Republican Party to join his cabinet. The Libertarian Party thereby makes an even greater effort for other countries to support Ardinia as well, now they're forming a presidential republic in Ardinia. The first executive order by the President was to establish the Ardinian National Army, which will be formed by two Libertarian affiliated paramilitaries and led by General Peter Walker. His second executive order was to enlist every man from the age 18 and up in the Ardinian National Army, making the numbers of the Ardinian National Army grow to 7,8 million soldiers.

The Ardinian National Army tries to invade Bozarburg
The Ardinian National Army has announced that they are marching up to Bozarburg with about 200,000 men, under command of General Stevens, to occupy the capital and thereby hopefully bring the province of Bozarland under Ardinian control. The battle of Bozarburg will be the first major battle in Bozarland.
In other news, Rutanian forces are marching up towards Feynport. The Ardinian National Army are currently evacuating as many of their 1,2 million inhabitants as they can, but are not sure whether they can reach that number before the battle for Feynport breaks out.

(OOC: Hi! The Libertarian Party invited Istalia to join the conflict. As already said, Istalia - if the nation will accept to partecipate to this RP - as member of the Security Council, despite its proximity to Saridan and Gaduridos than Rutania and Dundorf, will not pursue attacks against those two nations but will deploy one of its Naval Air Tactical Squad (1 Aircraft Carrier, 4 Destroyers, 8 Frigates, 6 submarines) into the territorial water of Rutania to support the Rutanian Navy in its blockade, trying to prevent Gaduridos with announces and "showing the muscles" of the Istalian Navy from continue to carrying out their attacks.

And I thought: what do you think if the arrives of Istalian Naval Squad will assure the blockade and at the end to Gaduridos rest only to deploy long range bombardier aircraft that can fly very high in the sky? (maybe equipement give to Gaduridos by some other power nation which it supports in the shadow Ardinia and the destabilization of Rutania, but we have to find someone that accept to act in this way if all of you agree, and I have already someone that could act in this way).

Behind this my last proposal there is a question: Does someone here follow the Voluntary Economic & Military Role-Play Guide? Just to visualize the effective forces. But I think that currently Gaduridos are not following this ranking. Obviously it is, as you can read, "voluntary" and we can find the best agreement that could satisfy all of us).

THE GADUR TIMES:
GADURIDOS DECLARES WAR ON RUTANIA!
Noon yesterday, Prime Minister Tam made a press conference declaring war on Rutania, citing Provision 4 of the "Recognition of Ardinian Independence" treaty.
Addressing the people of Gaduridos, he condemned Rutania's blatant disregard of democracy, and reaffirmed the treaty obligations of Gaduridos. The Prime Minister then went on to authorize Operation Enduring Freedom, an operation passed by Congress 3 years ago.

Military Advisers Arrive in Oct
Following the declaration of war, Gaduridan military advisers arrived in the Ardinian city of Oct, and sat down with top Ardinian and Saridan generals to plan out the defense of the nation. The mood in the room is stated to have been optimistic, and the military advisers were pictured smiling when leaving.

Carrier Task Force sent to Mirigodon
A Gaduridan carrier task force, consisting of one carrier, 50 aircraft, 2 missile cruisers, and 6 destroyers has been deployed off the coast of Mirigodon to try and wrest control of the seas surrounding Ardinia. While there have been several minor skirmishes with the initial Gaduridan garrison sent there, leading to coalition victories, the carrier task force has not yet seen action.

Gadur-Mirigodon Route Established
A supply convoy transporting food, water, medical supplies, as well as arms and ammunition has just left the port of Gadur, en-route to Mirigodon. The convoy is protected by an escort group, consisting of destroyers, corvettes, an aerial escort, as well as a single missile cruiser. Gaduridan naval high command is currently working to turn this into a permanent supply route, where Gaduridan supplies and men can be transported to the war-zone.

Bombings in Southern Ardinia
In an effort to slow down the Rutanian advance across the flatlands of the south, Gaduridan bombers have began bombing infrastructure around enemy lines, with roads and bridges being primary targets. This has had moderate success, and will likely slow the advance towards the Ardan river, as well as the movement of Rutanian reinforcements to the Lahm river.

Gaduridan Garrison in Feynport Helps to Evacuate Civilians
With the oncoming battle of Feynport, the 1000-strong Feynport Expeditionary Force is helping the Ardinian National Army to evacuate some of the 1.2 million inhabitants of the city before the fighting begins. Gaduridan humvees are reported to have been turned into civilian transport vehicles in an effort to get as many Ardinians safely north as possible, with a priority given to families and their children. In a heartwarming display of compassion, Feynport residents reportedly pushed to have the members of the Feynport Orphanage to be among the first passengers - all 238 are now up north, in safety.

OOC: I'm not too keen on following the power rankings, as:
1) They seem a bit arbitrary, and I don't understand how they were calculated,
2) Given the strength of Gaduridos represented in the power rankings, we would never be able to intervene anyways.
