Military Intervention Looms As Fresh Conflict Breaks Out : December 4248-June 4250

Istalian Soldier Overwatches for Aid Convoy-al-Samarya

As the confict in Badara begins to return to its former level of violence, nations from around the world have begun to intervene with more and more forces. Istalia, after the terrorist attacks in Romula and across Badara, have sent in around 500 troops to guard their Humanitarian Aid campaign from hostile Coalition forces. The Istalian government has continued to face an international backlash for their intervention in the war, with claims of overruling Badaran Government Sovereignty aswell as overruling the will of the General Assembly. Further claims suggest they want to even form a colony on Badara, and used their Aid workers as bait to lure in a Coalition attack, giving justification for invasion. However Abdul Amari, Delegate Leader of the Republic assures the BNC this is not the case:
Contrary to popular belief, the Istalian government has so far not taken over our government and established a puppet state in Badara. These exaggerated claims are nothing more than conspiracy theories, with no real basis in reality. Considering the level of Istalian troops in Badara, they pose no threat to the Badaran Military, and to say otherwise is to lie when the truth is staring you in the face.

Other troops also remain active in Badara. The Patriotic Guard, a Galduridos paramilitary, remains active in support of the Coalition, prompting the Badaran government to regard any Galduridos military assets as enemy combatants if they pass within Badaran owned waters.
Beitenyu has also sent 2000 so called 'advisors' to Badara in order to assist Coalition forces, specifically the terrorist paramilitary MARINE. Badara has also stated in press interviews that any Beitenyu troops stationed in Badara will also be regarded as enemy combatants, and requests their immediate removal from Badara.

The government of Kafuristan is also planning to send a force of 10,000 troops to Badara in order to aid them in the fight against the Coalition. Abdul Amari in a recent press release, thanked them for their support.
I wish to give my deepest thanks and respect to our brothers and sisters of Kafuristan who come to our aid in our time of need. Their support, and our people's great love for each other, shall never be forgotten, as long as we still live.

Plans are being made to transport the Kafuristan troops to Badara as soon as possible.

Operation Southern Liberation Continues with Victory in Sutan : July 4250-May 4252

Image
Badaran Soldier's celebrate victory-Sutan, al-Salmania

After a blood soaked campaign with massive casualties on both sides, the city of Sutan has been liberated from the Coalition. Coalition forces were driven out of the city under heavy mortar shell bombardment, followed by close quarter combat. The Old City saw the heaviest fighting, with military units being bogged down in courtyards and forced into bottlenecks by strategically placed Coalition mines and kill zones. However after the old city and market district were re-enforced, the Coalition cut their losses and withdrew to the nearby mountains to regroup. The remaining civilians in Sutan have now been evacuated under Badaran Military overwatch.

In other news, Istalian and Kafuristan troops have withdrawn from Badara under Security Council Resolution 29, prompting Beitenyu to cancel plans for intervention. Abdul Amari released the following statement about the withdrawal;
The Badaran Government is glad that a peaceful solution has been found to prevent an international scale escalation to the Badaran Conflict. Hopefully this resolution will be a first step towards an end to the Civil War.

Dorvish Intelligence Report: "No nuclear materials in Beitenyu's shipment"

In response to a news article that speculated that Beitenyu had attempted or was attempting to smuggle or attempting to smuggle small yield nuclear weapons into Badara, alongside intelligence reports in the region, the Dorvish released a report today stating that the report was fabricated. A joint team from the State Security Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service as well as the Military Security Service spoke today at the State Chancellery in Dorvik confirming that no nuclear materials were aboard any shipments from Beitenyu and that it was purely speculation and "posturing". State Chancellor Visimar zu Völksau confirmed after a grueling investigation that the State Chancellor noted would not be released publicly due to the sensitive nature of intelligence operations, he noted that several other partner nations were involved. This also confirms sources that the Czimnetz-class fleet service ship DMS Czimnetz was on an intelligence gathering mission as it was operating out of Kafuristan (a renewed Dorvish ally).

OOC: This is both an IC and OOC post from the RP Team stating that nuclear weapons require explicit structure from the RP Team in regards to their use, transfer and the like. Any questions you can reach out to Vescia, the RP Team Member for Military Affairs.

Beiteynu and its old ally
In agreement with its old ally, the Saridan government, the Yeudish air force and yeudish army is now using Saridan bases to fly supplies to the coalition and to train the fighters in Badara on a much bigger scale from there.
The Saridan bases give us much more freedom and flexibility to help the coalition because it is much nearer to Badara. We can increase the delivery of war material to 200 tons per day and will increase our training capacities for the freedom fighters. The number of advisors in Badara has increased to 3500 by using Saridan bases. Even airstrikes are now possible given the close approximity of Badara to Saridan
was a source close to the Rav Aluf quoted.

It is expected that the cooperation between Beiteynu and Saridan still needs to work out completly but soon a constant flight corridor between the Saridan bases and the Badaran freedom fighters will be established with the capacity of up to 400 tons of war material per day and the provision of training facilities for much more fighters. Most of training seemes to be directed at the handling of far more sophisticated weapons and gurillia tactics. The delivery of heavy goods such as tanks is also no longer impossible and with the state of emergency and priority usage of roads for military verhicles the efficency of the supply is expected to increase.

Operation Marakesh Shield Enters Final Stages As Badaran Military Encircles The last 2 Coalition Enclaves in Ras El-Haram : September 4252

Image
Badaran Militia In Close Quarter Combat-Southern Enclave, Ras El-Haram, Marakesh

Operation Marakesh Shield Is entering its final stages as the last Coalition enclaves in Ras El-Haram are cut off from supplies and encircled. The military operation which has lasted almost 6 years and cost the lives of an estimated 125,000 people is coming to a close.
Ras El-Haram has been the centre of the fighting in the north of Badara since the beginning of the conflict, with it acting for a time as the De-Facto Capital of the Coalition Held Territories. Unsurprisingly, the city has been the site of the most bloody and brutal battles of the war. The city has become a shell of its former self, with the majority of civilians evacuated to camps in neighbouring al-Samarya. The central district has seen the heaviest fighting. It is currently being cleared of land mines and IEDs, with Coalition forces having withdrawn from the area only 2 months prior.

The Northern Enclave was also recently cleared of Coalition Forces, with vast caches of supplies being found, many of Beitenyese Origin. Initial reports of Beitenyese forces supplying nuclear materials to the rebels have been found to be fortunately false, although Beitenyu continues to fund and train the rebels using air bases in Saridan, which have the capacity to provide an platform for possible Beitenyese aircraft attacks if they intend to intervene in future. There have also been bodies of Coalition Fighters found with Patriot Guard insignia and weaponry, a clear reminder of Gaduridos support for the Coalition.

The two remaining enclaves, the Eastern and Southern, continue to maintain heavy resistance, with Coalition Commander the 'King' reportedly ordering his men to fight to the death. Peace talks are currently being planned, although their success is uncertain, due to the Nov-48 Terror Attacks and recent death of WC General Secretary in a car bombing in Romula. It is becoming increasingly likely that this war will continue for a long time yet.

Operation Wrath Of Kings-Surprise Assault By Coalition Attacks Operation Marakesh Shield's Western Flank, Threatening Capital : October 4252

Image
Coalition Fighters in Technicals Assault Town-West of Ras El-Haram, Marakesh

Coalition Forces have carried out a surprise assault today by circling Badaran troops in Ras El-Haram, taking Badaran rear guard by surprise. The Rebels used fast transports to punch holes in the Badaran Defences, catching Badaran rear guard elements by surprise and encircling some. Many elements of the assault have entered al-Samarya, prompting fears on an attack on the capital. Badaran Army units are taking up defensive positions to repel the attack, and Badaran aircraft are airlifting supplies to areas surrounded by the assault.

Heavy fighting has broken out as Badaran Mechanised Infantry and Tanks seek to break a hole in Coalition forces in a retaliatory assault; trying to reach encircled Infantry before they are overrun. Fighting has also broken out in al-Salmania, as Coalition troops in Bad al-Mira seek to carry out a similar offensive, but without similar success, due to the lack of surprise.

A retaliatory strike in al-Samarya is currently underway, leading to certain Coalition troops being forced to retreat back across the Marakesh border. Abdul Amari said in a recent press release;
The Coalition attack will be destroyed. The full force of the Badaran Armoured Corps is focused on this aim.

T-47 tanks have rolled into Ras-El Haram from the North, seeking to attack the Coalition forces and cut off the advanced units' supply lines. Mechanised Infantry in APC's have attacked the Coalition rear guard, but have been fought back with Rocket Propelled Grenade fire and strategic mortar fire directed onto the convoy by spotters in buildings on Ras El-Haram's outskirts. The war has entered a new stage, and everything is up for grabs.

A direct attack?
Reports are coming in of a direct air fighting between airplanes of the yeudish airforce and Badaran transport airplanes used to support the encircled Badaran ground units. It is unclear how many planes were shut down on the Badaran side but rumors are that at least three Beiteynuse fighter jets were lost of the 14 which were sent out. Some further damage seemed to have been inflicted on the Badaran command structure but reports are unpsecific about that.

If these reports are to be confirmed it would mean the first direct involvement of the Yeudish forces into the Badaran civil war and yet a new escalation of the conflict. Meanwhile the number of so called "military advisors" has increased to just around 4500 and many sources claim now, that some of them might be advisors but most are in fact fighting soldiers.

No comment as of now.
by the spokesman for the government of Beiteynu

Menawhile with general mobilization finished in Beiteynu the air bridge between Saridan and Badara seems to deliver the first heavy artillery to the rebels. According to the state of emergency in Beiteynu the whole army will remain on its highest alert.

Lamond Conference Fails As Fighting Engulfs Capital : June 4243

Image
Badaran Infantry Engage MARINE Fighters-Outskirts of Dar as-Salam, al-Samarya

The war in Badara has entered a new theatre. The Capital City of Dar as-Salam, which until now had seen relatively little fighting, has been attacked by the MARINE fighters which formed the tip of the Coalition spear during Operation Wrath Of Kings. MARINE fighters have engaged the Eastern and Southern defensive lines, causing firefights to spring up all along the line. Badaran infantry and tanks, supported by artillery and mortar fire have so far effectively held their own against the Coalition.
The City Of Ras El-Haram has finally been cleared of Coalition Forces after 7 years of conflict. The Southern Enclave fell with little resistance, as Coalition Troops retreated to the hills and forests surrounding the southern end of the city. Badaran Military Units are beginning to dig in in preparation for a counter offensive.

Image

In other news, a peace conference held in Lamond has failed after the biased nature of supposedly neutral States became obvious, and arguments broke out over ideology rather than solutions to the conflict. The debate continued with many parties being forced to leave until the entire conference was brought to an end.
