Dispatches from the front: the Coalition forces reach Karstadt
Hulstria to its knees
Image

Karstadt is surrounded! The Hulstrian capital has been reached by the forces of the Coalition, after months of constant advance in enemy territory.
After the passage of the Supreme Command to the Kazulian General Christoffer Sundby and the launch of Operation Steel Pegasus (OOC: or Ragnarok?), The Heinrich Line was abandoned by Hulstrian troops unable to resist to the international forces.

The landing of further Istalian and Coburan troops, the arrival of new Kazulian divisions, the massive use of airborne troops and therefore the overwhelming firepower, allowed to advance in front of an enemy exhausted, demoralized and short of resources.
In the north and east of the country, in addition, entire Hulstrian brigades and companies have surrendered to the enemy while among the civilian population many were those who welcomed the international troops, certainly the Gao-Showan population but also many Dundorfian Hulstrians, further demonstration of how the regime has now lost all popular support.

Image
Hulstrian troops surremds to Coalition's soldiers

Notwithstanding, there were no lack of major clashes as well as moments of difficulty for the Coalition, especially in the major cities where the clashes took place street by street, with the international forces that suffered mainly due to the massive use by Hulstrian part of explosive traps and surprise assaults conducted exploiting the greater knowledge of the territory.
For the moment the count of the dead is still uncertain, the Joint General Staff of the Coalition had communicated more than a thousand fallen four months ago, today they could be doubled. For Hulstrian troops, however, the death toll is much heavier, with tens and tens of thousands of dead and many more injured, many of them left behind due to the enemy pressure and the destruction of most of the main infrastructure and all the aviation, struck tirelessly by the international air forces now fully controling the sky, drastically reducing the movement and supply capacity of the forces of Karstadt.

Destroyed Hulstrian cities and infrastructures

Karsland is therefore surrounded: the Communist militias and the Malivian forces in the south, Istalians and Coburans in the west along with Kazulians and Hutorians previously landed on the northern coasts, Hutorians, Kazulians and Alorians, accompanied by the Septembrist militia in the north and Istalians and Vanukeans in the east.
The last bastion of the supremacist regime is trapped, already hit by aviation and, according to some sources, also infiltrated by troops launched in the hinterland months ago.
The Joint Staff is resolute and determined to take Karstadt, Sundby and Belardi, as well as Skalm and Romula, fully agree that the regime either surrenders unconditionally or will be totally crushed, and the rejection of proposals for dialogue, even reached unbeknownst to Nimitz, it further demonstrates the coalition's desire to simply and only defeat and eradicate racism and atrocities committed by the totalitarian regime.

The battle of Karsdt is near, as well as the foreseeable end of the totalitarian regime which soom will face almost 700,000 troops.

Soon new updates from the front.

Most of Crownlands now secured by RBW; Provisional Government contemplating general elections

Image
Theophilus von Geraniengau has pleaded with coalition forces to monitor a Crownlands-wide general election

Kien, Hulstria - As the world holds its breath for the coalition's final push to bring down the Nimitz regime for good, the Provisional Government of the United Imperial Crownlands, recognised by many internationally as the legitimate successor government, is planning for the future. According to Interior Minister, Theophilus von Geraniengau, a general election for the Imperial Diet and Crownland Diets across all five Crownlands is in the works, if the coalition will help the RBW maintain order during the operation.

Meanwhile, Commandant Viktor Gubler and the bulk of the RBW forces stand ready to secure Thague, the regime's capital, while RBW militiamen behind the frontlines are working to secure and relieve the areas just liberated from the regime in Northern Kuratha, Southern Budenlar and Western Mitrania. The pressing need for basic necessities in those areas is being relieved by convoys out of Mitrania and liberated Budenlar, where the local farms have enjoyed a good enough harvest in the breadbasket of Hulstria and Gao-Soto to start supplying the needy citizens who have been starved out of resources by the regime behind the fallen Heinrich line.

As military operations are nearing their final stage, Theophilus von Geraniengau has pleaded with the World Congress coalition forces to assist in organising a general election to the Imperial Diet conducted under the Basic Law in all five Crownlands. This is complicated by the ambiguous position of the Volkspartei, which controls virtually all of Hilgar and the South of Kuratha, and has so far rebuffed invitations from Viscount Fukuyama to participate in free and fair elections. Nevertheless, Geraniengau said the Provisional Government wasn't antithetical to the Communists, saying "the door is still open".

The Provisional Government has ordered a Provisional Electoral Commission to see to drawing the boundaries of new Wahlkreisen (or constituencies) to enable the use of the Septembrist Constitution's Mixed-Member Proportional system. The Interior Ministry admitted that this was being complicated by the huge movements of people, but Geraniengau said he was confident that the government had a good view in liberated areas which could be supplemented by data retrieved from regime servers by Septembrist hackers about population in Hilgar. "The vile class-system they used has one advantage for us," said the Freiherr sardonically. "At least it forced them to keep good records."

As the United Imperial Crownlands emerges as Hulstria and Gao-Soto's best hope for a new multi-ethnic democracy, the Governor-General said he hoped the international community would help safeguard the electoral process. "We are grateful for all the recognition we are getting," said Graf Michels. "And we hope the international community will back this up as the best way to secure democracy in Hulstria and Gao-Soto."

IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT SET FOR UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER

Image
Foreign Minister Albrecht Kohl - not prepared to accept further bloodshed.

Hulstrian Foreign Minister Albrecht Kohl has told party members he is ready to accept unconditional surrender terms rather than see his country suffer further bloodshed.

Every man, woman and child had been put on high alert and ordered to fight alongside Crownlands armed forces in defence of the capital, Karstadt. It meant hundreds of thousands of lives were at risk if the battle went ahead.

But after an unexpected turn of events in which Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz fell into a coma - following what is officially being called a seizure - the Party decided to step back from its ruthless total war policy.

Herr Kohl, called a vote with the question being: should we now accept unconditional surrender terms. The vast majority of the Party's 75 senior members - the only people eligible to vote under the current regime - said yes.

The Foreign Minister said he would immediately begin opening communication channels with the allies to co-ordinate a cease fire and surrender. It is not known what will happen to the Herr Nimitz, senior party members and the Royal family of House Lasburg but the surrender will bring to an end 70 years of totalitarian regime in the Crownlands.

It is expected the Coalition will endorse the Provisional Government of the United Imperial Crownlands and that a multi-ethnic democracy will soon be installed throughout the nation.
“I venture to suggest that patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.”

BREAKING NEWS: HULSTRIA SURRENDERS!
Total Victory for the International Coalition
Image
People in Karstadt assault the symbols of the regime after the liberation: here a statue of Nimitz is taken down

KARSTADT - The news is official: the Hulstrian Government of Karstadt has communicated the unconditional surrender to the forces of the International Coalition.
Over 700 thousand men had been advancing for days to the Capital on all fronts, for several kilometers they advanced without meeting any resistance with the last faithful troops of Karstadt piled right all around the periphery of the capital.

With the most advanced divisions, tanks and armored vehicles now in the suburbs, in the night a message came from Albrecht Kohl, Foreign Minister of Karstadt, in which he stated that Nimitz was no longer at the head of the regime and that his successor Kohl offered unconditional surrender.
However, the message was not sent to the General Staff of Sundby but was sent directly to the Deputy Supreme General Commander Belardi and to the Istalian General Staff, probably due to the existing acrimony between Hulstria and Kazulia, existing probably from before the most recent about fifty years ago.

Image
Coalition troops entering in Karstadt

The Hulstrian Parliament, as reported in Kohl's message, has already approved with large majority the proposal for unconditional surrender, the fate of the regime is therefore now in the hands of the international forces of the Coalition.
Warned by Belardi, General Sundby immediately gave orders that only 50,000 soldiers advance without open fire in the capital to converge towards the various seats of power, while Belardi was placed at the head of the organization of a Territorial Occupation Command which, as already announced by the Istalian General, will see the five Hulstrian regions come under the control of members of the Security Council who participated in the conflict and Kazulia: Hutori will control the region Budelar/Bodenvaria, Kazulia will control the region Hulstria / Handenberg, Mitrania/Merinthia it will be placed under the authority of the Indralian forces, Hulstria/Hilgar will be the responsibility of Dorvik while Kuratha/Karsland will be placed under the Istalian control.
This at least the preliminary idea for a job that should not last long: the Septembrist Government of Kien, in fact, during the conflict has assumed more authority in front of the international community with many countries that have recognized the authority and this has given confidence to the Septembrist leadership that had already taken action to reach what the international forces, Istalia in the first place, considers as the ultimate goal to finally put an end to decades of chaos generated by Karstadt: free and democratic general elections and then the formation of a government really wanted by all the Hulstrian people.

But Istalia is one of the nations that has not yet officially recognized the Government of Kien and despite the fact that Romula's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has never given explanations about it, it is clear that what worries most the Istalian Government is the duopoly formed by the Septembrists and the Volkspartei's Communists. Romula, as already communicated to all members of the Coalition, intends to leave the Hulstria pacified and in the hands of a democratic and legitimate government.
The President Romulani has however declared, at the announcement of the Hulstriana surrender, that we can not fail to note the results of the Septembrists, their organizational drive and above all their desire to pursue clearly democratic objectives and also ensured full support for the initiatives of Kien to start preparations for future general elections. But what has probably dissatisfied Kien was once again the lack of official recognition of their government, a recognition, said Romulani, which will be conditioned by an in-depth analysis of the so-called Basic Law, the Septembrist Constitution, by the more experts istalian lagal expertists and constitutionalists: Romula wants to be sure that this Fundamental Law respects the highest democratic standards and that above all there are no juridical technicalisms or, worse, lacunae in the text that could be exploited to circumvent the rules with the risk of a new dictatorship. But also, Romulani demands that the Communists will not be ignored and will be involved, maybe also respecting some requests on the social issues, dear to Romulani.

Image
The high ranks of the International Coalition meet together in Karstadt

But not only: the withdrawal of the Coalition forces, declared instead the Supreme Commander Sundby, can start only when all members of the regime will be in custody of the military authorities to assess guilt and responsibility and then start the other procedure considered as necessary and above all truly conclusive of the conflict: a process to judge the members of the supremacist regime. On top of the Coalition's blacklist, obviously, Leopold Nimitz, but not only "dethroned" but also in coma, as declared by the government led by Kohl. No further details have been released for the time being on what may have happened to Nimitz, but what is certain is that he finds himself in one of the hospitals in the capital. In truth, the list of members of the regime that the Coalition would like to prosecute is very long, including Ministers, State Secretaries, MPs, Armed Forces high ranks, and so on, but Istalia has announced that it will request the inclusion on the list also the current Hulstrian head of state, the Empress Beatrice II Labsburg, a silent and far Head of State that Istalia considers as equally responsible with Nimitz in light of the fact that the Crown has done nothing to oppose Nimitz and the regime but especially the persecutions against the Gao-Showan population.
Possible abdication or dethronement for the Empress? What is certain is that it will be one of the strongest demands on the part of the Septembrists who instead, supporting the idea of dual monarchy for the dundorfians and the gao-showans, supporting as papabile for the Hulstrian Crown Otto III von Rothingren-Traugott-Okatori, descendant of the Imperial Dynasty under the previous Dual Monarchy and that since the beginning of the Civil War had supported the Septembrists and harshly criticized the Labsburg.

Further developments will be announced in the near future as well as the latest analysis of the final phases of the conflict and therefore the final assessment of the victims who, in any case, in their respective homelands will certainly be treated as heroes.

Septembrists celebrate Second September Revolution
Provisional Government thanks World Congress Coalition, continues push for elections and recognition

Image
The Union Flag, soon to fly again over the Crownlands

Kien, Hulstria - As the remnants of the Hulstrian Party regime declared their unconditional surrender to Coalition Forces, Septembrists across the Crownlands took to the streets celebrating the success of the Second September Revolution. Across the Crownlands, supporters went out onto the streets waving the Union Flag of Hulstria and Gao-Soto and singing the original version of the Land of our Fathers, the national anthem. In Thague (Karstadt), where fighting has heavily damaged the cities, Septembrists felt emboldened by the news of the regime's surrender and lined the streets to welcome the Coalition and RBW forces liberating the regime's final bastion. RBW militias soon arrived with food packages to feed the starved citizens of the former capital.

The Provisional Government in Kien has welcomed the news with exultation, with Governor-General Hubert Michels and both Emperors coming to the Imperial Assembly's joint meeting to celebrate the event. The Governor-General, the dignified face of the provisional government and Chairman of the 15th of September Movement, gave a speech to the Diet announcing the next steps as the Septembrists expect to take the leading role in shaping multi-ethnic democracy in Hulstria and Gao-Soto:
His Excellency Hubert, Graf Michels von Bad Phönixspring, Provisional Governor-General wrote:Your Imperial Majesties! Herr Präsident, Mitbürger und Mitbürgerinnen!

Today marks a momentous day in the history of our Crownlands. It's been a heavy road, one in which we've, more than ever, we had to endure much loss. But we were born together in all our pains, as in those historic days nine centuries ago, at a place not far from here, where Hulstrians and Kunihito saw the tanks of the regime coming, faced them together, looked to the sides and thought "we're all in this together. We are united and we shall be free." My forefather was there at that place, on that day. A humble academic, not quite ready for the honour he would be paid as the Father of the Constitution and of Septembrism, the way he and the people who took forward the name of the 15th of September and the ideas it sparked and turned our history around.

Today is as momentous. Again, Hulstrians and Gao-Showans, side by side, have faced the ugly spectre of racialism and oppression. They took away our unity and tried to divide us; they took away our history and tried to rewrite it; they took away our rights and tried to trample us. But like on the 15th of September, we have looked to our sides, and seen not the three classes imposed on us, the differences, but two peoples, determined to share this land of our fathers. And with the world watching and joining in, we have turned this darkest page in our history.

Today, we have reclaimed our history, our birthright, our destiny: our land of two peoples, united and free.

And let us pay tribute to all those, Crownlanders, Ostlanders and coalition allies, who have given their lifes to make it so. Let us stand in silence to their memory,
and give them a place in the heart of a grateful nation. (two minutes silence)

Now begins the great work of securing the future of our land, for the sake of all of its peoples. The Phoenix of Hulstria and Gao-Soto shall rise from the ashes if we all come together. But let us face it: our country has seen better days. We are grateful to the World Congress Coalition for getting us this far, but today I ask them, on behalf of our nation, of all Crownlanders - please help us restore order, peace and prosperity. Help us as we look forward to the first free and fair elections in decades.
Help us as we regain our feet. Help us as we re-establish our proud tradition of constitutional democratic government in the interests of all the citizens in the Crownlands.

Help us bring to justice those who did this to us. The men and women who inflicted so much suffering, killing so many for their mad idea of a nation that never was,
a Dundorfian Hulstria. I say now: I am uncomfortable, as many are, with the very idea - I feel more akin to our Kunihito brothers and sisters than to Dundorf far away.
Those that murdered trying to turn us into a nation we never were should be brought to justice for what they did, and I call upon the World Congress to help us see that justice is done, and that justice is seen to be done.

But help us, above all, rebuild our nation. We are ready, as the legitimate government of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, to restore democracy to our nation. To this end, Herr Präsident, we shall gladly participate in talks to show how this future will take shape. Our position is clear: we have won our freedom and unity. We believe that the best guarantee for the future is the institutions we have restored here in this House. And we believe that ultimately, the future policy and governance of this country should be by, of and for its peoples, decided at the ballot box.

The People's Party is welcome to participate in that debate, and join in that election, under the Basic Law, that der sehr ehrenwerter Freiherr von Geraniengau is even now preparing. Fukuyama-no-shinshaku said this in the World Congress and I reiterate it. Our hand is outstretched, they need only take it. The future of our economy is up to the people - if the People's Party wishes to participate in the formulation of their democratic will, they are more than welcome to do so.

But today, let us honour what we won. Let us rise for our anthem, sing it with hands over our hearts and celebrate this, our Second September Revolution, the day our land of two peoples became once more, united and free. And tomorrow, let us go to the table and to our offices, and build this country the durable democratic future so many have fought so hard to get.

Gott Erhalt den Kaiser! Hoch leb der Mikado! Long live Hulstria and Gao-Soto.

After the speech, the entire House joined in singing the Septemberhymne. Michels and Fukuyama are expected to invite delegates of the People's Party and the Coalition Forces to Kien for talks on the aftermath and the transition to democracy. About the Septembrist position in these negotiations Fukuyama said he had nothing to add: "The Governor-General said it all: we go into this hopeful that we will soon see our democracy restored. We hope the international community will recognise that the best hope for democracy is the Basic Law and the elections colleague von Geraniengau is preparing, and recognise the United Imperial Crownlands as the legitimate and sovereign government."

TOP LAWYER DRAFTED IN TO DEFEND "RIGHTFUL EMPRESS OF HULSTRIA" AT INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL

Beatrice II Lasburg has strongest claim to the imperial throne, says legal representative

Image
Randolph Lavery has vowed to hold the World Congress to account.

Renowned lawyer Randolph Lavery has announced he will be representing the interests of the ousted Empress Beatrice II and the royal house of Lasburg at the upcoming World Congress' international tribunal for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Baltusian-born Mr Lavery, who has represented a number of high-profile clients around the globe, said he was ready to take on "the case of the century" and defend the former Empress, now 72 years of age, and her family at the much-anticipated trial.

Beatrice II was head of state throughout Leopold Nimitz's totalitarian reign of terror over Hulstria. Along with her close family, she was handed over to coalition forces when unconditional surrender was accepted as the World Congress' armies bore down on the former capital, Karstadt.

Mr Lavery, said: "It is clear from the evidence I have seen so far we have a very strong case. Empress Beatrice and her family are victims who were sidelined by Nimitz but also forced to stay loyal under extreme threat and duress. Beatrice is a person who, from an early age, was manipulated by the regime and used by the Dundorfian supremacists who rose to power and then would not release their hold over her or her family.

"However, we also know that Beatrice and her descendants have a very robust claim to be the rightful sovereign of Hulstria. She is descended through an undeniable bloodline from the very first Yukio-Lasburg Emperor whose house ruled over the Great Reich of Mikuni-Hulstria as far back as the 3700s and was the legal successor state to the first United Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto.

Image
The last state photo taken of Beatrice II before the war. She has not made a public appearance for 15 years.

"Her rightful clam to the throne of Hulstria is, in our opinion, the strongest and most contemporaneous in modern day Hulstria given her ancestors have sat on the throne for nigh on the last 600 years. Also, through her marriage into the noble von-Thaller family and to the son of the former Sultan of Barmenistan, her descendants have ties to many nations around Terra.

The international community must be careful to not carry out regicide by proxy on behalf of the Septembrist one-party government nor install heads of state viewed as usurpers by many - and thus create long-lasting instability in the country. My legal team and I will be there to ensure they are held to account for their actions.

Mr Lavery and his team will also be representing Beatrice's children - Crown Prince Jens Manfried Lasburg-Thaller (who also holds the family title of The Duke of Budenlar), Princess Hildegarde Lasburg-Thaller and Prince Sebastian Lasburg-Thaller.
“I venture to suggest that patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.”
