BREAKING NEWS: HULSTRIA SURRENDERS!Total Victory for the International CoalitionPeople in Karstadt assault the symbols of the regime after the liberation: here a statue of Nimitz is taken downKARSTADT - The news is official: the Hulstrian Government of Karstadt has communicated the unconditional surrender to the forces of the International Coalition.
Over 700 thousand men had been advancing for days to the Capital on all fronts, for several kilometers they advanced without meeting any resistance with the last faithful troops of Karstadt piled right all around the periphery of the capital.
With the most advanced divisions, tanks and armored vehicles now in the suburbs, in the night a message came from Albrecht Kohl, Foreign Minister of Karstadt, in which he stated that Nimitz was no longer at the head of the regime and that his successor Kohl offered unconditional surrender.
However, the message was not sent to the General Staff of Sundby but was sent directly to the Deputy Supreme General Commander Belardi and to the Istalian General Staff, probably due to the existing acrimony between Hulstria and Kazulia, existing probably from before the most recent about fifty years ago.
Coalition troops entering in KarstadtThe Hulstrian Parliament, as reported in Kohl's message, has already approved with large majority the proposal for unconditional surrender, the fate of the regime is therefore now in the hands of the international forces of the Coalition.
Warned by Belardi, General Sundby immediately gave orders that only 50,000 soldiers advance without open fire in the capital to converge towards the various seats of power, while Belardi was placed at the head of the organization of a Territorial Occupation Command which, as already announced by the Istalian General, will see the five Hulstrian regions come under the control of members of the Security Council who participated in the conflict and Kazulia: Hutori will control the region Budelar/Bodenvaria, Kazulia will control the region Hulstria / Handenberg, Mitrania/Merinthia it will be placed under the authority of the Indralian forces, Hulstria/Hilgar will be the responsibility of Dorvik while Kuratha/Karsland will be placed under the Istalian control.
This at least the preliminary idea for a job that should not last long: the Septembrist Government of Kien, in fact, during the conflict has assumed more authority in front of the international community with many countries that have recognized the authority and this has given confidence to the Septembrist leadership that had already taken action to reach what the international forces, Istalia in the first place, considers as the ultimate goal to finally put an end to decades of chaos generated by Karstadt: free and democratic general elections and then the formation of a government really wanted by all the Hulstrian people.
But Istalia is one of the nations that has not yet officially recognized the Government of Kien and despite the fact that Romula's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has never given explanations about it, it is clear that what worries most the Istalian Government is the duopoly formed by the Septembrists and the Volkspartei's Communists. Romula, as already communicated to all members of the Coalition, intends to leave the Hulstria pacified and in the hands of a democratic and legitimate government.
The President Romulani has however declared, at the announcement of the Hulstriana surrender, that we can not fail to note the results of the Septembrists, their organizational drive and above all their desire to pursue clearly democratic objectives and also ensured full support for the initiatives of Kien to start preparations for future general elections. But what has probably dissatisfied Kien was once again the lack of official recognition of their government, a recognition, said Romulani, which will be conditioned by an in-depth analysis of the so-called Basic Law, the Septembrist Constitution, by the more experts istalian lagal expertists and constitutionalists: Romula wants to be sure that this Fundamental Law respects the highest democratic standards and that above all there are no juridical technicalisms or, worse, lacunae in the text that could be exploited to circumvent the rules with the risk of a new dictatorship. But also, Romulani demands that the Communists will not be ignored and will be involved, maybe also respecting some requests on the social issues, dear to Romulani.
The high ranks of the International Coalition meet together in KarstadtBut not only: the withdrawal of the Coalition forces, declared instead the Supreme Commander Sundby, can start only when all members of the regime will be in custody of the military authorities to assess guilt and responsibility and then start the other procedure considered as necessary and above all truly conclusive of the conflict: a process to judge the members of the supremacist regime. On top of the Coalition's blacklist, obviously, Leopold Nimitz, but not only "dethroned" but also in coma, as declared by the government led by Kohl. No further details have been released for the time being on what may have happened to Nimitz, but what is certain is that he finds himself in one of the hospitals in the capital. In truth, the list of members of the regime that the Coalition would like to prosecute is very long, including Ministers, State Secretaries, MPs, Armed Forces high ranks, and so on, but Istalia has announced that it will request the inclusion on the list also the current Hulstrian head of state, the Empress Beatrice II Labsburg, a silent and far Head of State that Istalia considers as equally responsible with Nimitz in light of the fact that the Crown has done nothing to oppose Nimitz and the regime but especially the persecutions against the Gao-Showan population.
Possible abdication or dethronement for the Empress? What is certain is that it will be one of the strongest demands on the part of the Septembrists who instead, supporting the idea of dual monarchy for the dundorfians and the gao-showans, supporting as papabile for the Hulstrian Crown Otto III von Rothingren-Traugott-Okatori, descendant of the Imperial Dynasty under the previous Dual Monarchy and that since the beginning of the Civil War had supported the Septembrists and harshly criticized the Labsburg.
Fallen statue of Nimitz slashed by people of KarstadtFurther developments will be announced in the near future as well as the latest analysis of the final phases of the conflict and therefore the final assessment of the victims who, in any case, in their respective homelands will certainly be treated as heroes.
