Malivian Parliament Approves War Authorization & Increase Military Spending Act

Image

The Parliament of Malivia passed the (RP) 2nd Terra War Authorization & Spending Act in August 4337 which also saw increase in defense spending to upgrade military technology and capability. Normally the government of Malivia spends on average per year 29 Billion dollars but has allocated 60 billion this year. The bill was passed by over 400/600 votes and supported by 3/4 major parties.

The Minister of Finance Ms Mia Mottley said that she believed this was necessary given the current regional escalation and possible outbreak of warfare. She further lamented that it is imperative that this government do what's necessary to ensure the borders of Malivia is protected to further ensure it's territorial sovereignty isn't undermined. she said however that this bill could not have passed without the critical support of the major political parties that understood how critical this bill was to the people of Malivia. She thank the Prime Minister, Mr Kondwani Paddon for his high level of support in the process and also that of her other fellow cabinet colleagues.

The Minister of defense Sumon Gilbert says that so far the Central war Committee is coordinating with allies on strategic points to launch attack that will obliterate opposing forces and send them into oblivion. He said Narikaton as s state should know better not to encroach on Malivian borders and if the Prime Minister and President thinks that the state should expand its territory in this war by taking some lands occupied by Narikaton, they will do so with ease.

Breaking News: Valruzia & Istalia To Possibly support Malivia in War

News from the grape vine has said that Valruzia & Istalia will be supporting Malivia. This has come after a document was leaked from a military cable which suggest that the Malivian government is trying to keep this secret as part of its strategy. However when reaching for a comment from the defense Minister he said that these are mere rumors and should be dismissed. He said this rumor came on the heel that the President of Istalia will be visiting Malivia for high level talks with the Malivian President. So far Malivia has gained a military ally from the state of Seluciae who will also provide air support and other military support.

Excerpt from news reel:

[quote]The Malivian campaign has stalled after repeated airial attacks from Luthori and Dorvik. The worst day was April 21 when a squadron of Malivian ships faced the concentrated Luthori fleet. While they were able to extradite themselves with zero ship loses all ships and especially the destroyer lead suffered massive damage.

Not all is lost yet though the Malivian front guard has managed to reach the outskirts of the Narik capital and several large portions of Narik forces are under siege in what the Thaller leadership have started calling "Fortress cities".

Their outlook is bleak seeing as the Malivian military is hammering every square meter in those cities with shell upon shell.
