COBURA STRIKES BACK
COBURAN ARMED FORCES ENTER ZARDIC INGOMO PROVINCE
Image
INGOMO – Following the Zardic invasion of the Coburan Governorate of Egato, Cobura launched its own offensive in the Zardic Province of Ingomo. Coburan forces, backed by warplanes and artillery, captured high ground and three villages near Klandeo, a city controlled by the Zardic Army that Cobura regards as a ‘’direct threat to its safety’’.

The Coburan incursion is the result of ethnic cleansing of the Mallan population, initiated by the Zardic Government. following international criticism, with neighbouring Cobura being its loudest voice due to the large Mallan population there, the Zardic Imperial Assembly claimed the Coburan governorate of Egato belonged to Zardugal, thus denying Coburan sovereignty there. Next, Kostandia sent a declaration of war to the Coburan Prime Minister in Sharba. And now both nations are at war, with Zardugal invading the Coburan border town of Ezra, in the southwestern parts of the Egato governorate.

Coburan fighter jets bombed Zardic militia targets around Klandeo on Sunday. Ten people were reported killed in the bombing raids, according to Zardic militants, and three people died on the Coburan side of the border in retaliatory shelling, local people said.

Defence Minister of Cobura Smira Aganyewi said the forces intended to create a security zone about 80 miles deep inside the Zardic Province of Ingomo. The area would encompass urban centres, including the city of Klandeo, and the much larger city of, further east, as well as dozens of outlying villages. Cobura’s Prime Minister, Mane Iyassu Sidhom, has vowed to eliminate “hostile threats” in the Zardic Province, but on Sunday he promised that the operation would be swift. “Hopefully, we will complete this operation in a very short time,” he said in a speech to the House of Representatives in Sharba. “The real issue here is to protect our Cobura and the values we represent. It is extremely important for us to protect things like, democracy and liberty when nations near us do not.” Mr. Sidhom said. He said that “we have 1,2 million Zardic Mallans in our lands” and that Cobura wanted “to send our Zardic brothers back to their own land as soon as possible.” Following the ethnic cleansing by the Zardic government, hundreds of thousands of Zardic Mallans fled to neighbouring Cobura, flushing the borders.

Mrs. Aganyewi said Coburan forces would seek to destroy any logistics supply routes to Zardic units. By nightfall Coburan troops seemed to have advanced only a few miles into Zardugal.
Casualties were reported from both sides, but numbers varied.

Hanedi Hafsi, a homemaker who lives in Rehano-Defi, a border district in Cobura, said two Coburans and a Zardic soldier died Sunday afternoon from shelling by Zardic militias. The shells fell on a market, killing three and wounding 32, she said. Coburan officials said that only one Mallan refugee had died and that 37 people were wounded.

LAKE MAJATRA NOW CONTESTED WATERS
COBURAN NAVY SETS SAIL TO OCCUPY ZARDIC TRADE ROUTES
Image
PRINCO - Following the Zardic invasion of Cobura, the Coburan 3rd fleet, located in the nation's biggest naval base in Princo, has set sail towards Zardic waters in an attempt to occupy the nation's trade routes and prevent naval exercises in the Lake Majatra.'

The decision was made by defence minister Smira Aganyewi, who told the press she ''did not look for a confrontation with Jakania, Jelbania or Deltaria''. She emphasized that the measures were just ''to prevent Zardugal from taking the initiative here and protect vital trade routes so that all Lake Majatra-bordering nations can continue to use the waters without severe disruption from the current conflict between Cobura and Zardugal''.

President Jayce Anthas Announcing The Decision To Cut Diplomatic Ties with Zaradugal

March 4451-The Keymonite government has cut all ties with Zaradugal after its invasion of Cobura. According to initial reports the Zardic military has already moved into Coburan territory with a sizeable force.
President Jayce Athas responded to the situation by saying "Zardugal has gone a step to far, this unprovoked agression to revive its status as a world power is intolerable. There will be consequences. "

Immediately after the president's reponse the Keymon government announced that it would break all diplomatic ties it had with Zardugal, before this was done the Keymon government called upon the country to stop their military action in Cobura before the situation would "spiral out of control"

The Keymonite ministry of defense has stated that it will not enter a state of war or send troops to the battlefield as of yet in order to make sure Zardugal gets a fair chance at giving in to the call for peace.
International observers have their doubts and believe Zardugal will not adhere to the demand for peace.

Augustine National Armed Forces Enter the Governorate of Irkawa
"To Kill the Snake, We Aim for the Head"

The Augustine National Armed Forces (ANAF) deploy a legion of 5000 soldiers from the camp in Ezra into Irkawa.
The ANAF legion was given the order to kill any personnel with arms, ranging from machine guns to hand knifes. These has lead to the most violence yet seen so far, as many are killed. According to one report, a small village called Mahamid had all twenty of its inhabitants killed. But resistance is strong. The village of Pollos managed to repulse the ANAF forces for around week before finally surrendering, and several other Mallan communities have prevented completely surrendering by fending off the forces using farming tools and household appliances.

EMPEROR VISITS TROOPS
''WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!''
Image
BALKENO – Following the quick advancement of Zardic troops into Cobura, Emperor of the Esinsundu Empire Sebek- em- Saf X visited the war front in the Egato at the city of Balkeno. He visited the troops and promised the local population that Cobura ''will never surrender''.

Balkeno has been the stage of heavy fighting for over a week now, since Zardic forces quickly advanced into the Coburan Governorate of Egato. The Coburan DEFCON defence plan turned out to be pretty useless compared to the Zardic military strength. For now, the only successful strategy for the Coburan Armed Forces (CAF) is to lay low and defend. Since the start of the war, Coburan initiative in battle has almost always resulted in Coburan loss, except from the successful Coburan invasion of Ingomo and the naval blockade on Lake Majatra.

The Coburan army is struggling to hold up against the highly skilled Zardic soldiers with better equipment. Traditionally, the CAF has been lightly equipped for only local small-scaled riot control. For decades, Cobura placed its faith in diplomacy to maintain peace in West Majatra. However, now diplomacy has failed against the Zardic rage so suddenly, the CAF have been surprised and defeated time after time. Apart from important military bases in Augusta and Princo, the Zardic Army has managed to become dominant in the Egatan rural areas and, as latest reports say, has already advanced as far as Razeko.

The Emperor visited the troops defending what is left of Balkeno with a heavy heart, since he will be brought to Hawu Mumenhes for his own safety, as commissioned by the Prime Minster. He spoke:
Standing in the ruins of what used to be a town hall, I promise the people of Cobura that we will not give in to this inexplicable rage and evil. Zardugal is a doomed nation that has no sense of shame or humanity. I swear to the highest power above that I, as well as the rest of the Empire, will never surrender! They can burn our houses, murder our children, steal our food and lands, but they will never end our hope!
