Name of the Law:
The government's policy towards foreign workers.

Law Category:
Foreign Policy/ Economics

Options:
1) Foreign nationals are treated the same as native citizens when searching for employment.
2) Foreign nationals may seek employment but businesses must publically disclose the number they employ.
3) Foreign nationals may seek employment but there is a cap on the number/ percentage of foreign nationals a business may employ.
4) Foreign nationals are forbidden to seek employment.

Comments:
Those in the UK (and perhaps elsewhere) will recall the controversy a few weeks ago when the Home Secretary Amber Rudd implied during the Tory conference that firms might have to disclose the number of foreign workers they employ. I thought we could consider a related variable. Honestly, I struggled with writing the options in terms of actually articulating what I meant so I would welcome some thoughts on that.

Good idea! Maybe there should be an option to limit foreign workers to certain kinds of jobs, or to give them worse labour regulations or something.
Also, there should be a "local government" option.

Both good points. How does this sound?

4) Foreign nationals may seek employment but only in certain sectors/professions (to be determined in bill description).
5) Foreign nationals are forbidden to seek employment.
6) Local governments decide this.

I think it's perfect!

Come on people! Are jamescfm and I the only people interested in creating new laws?

No, only all the ideas I have are impossible to implement.

Name of the Law:
The government's policy towards foreign workers.

Law Category:
Economics

Options:

1) Foreign nationals may seek employment but with inferior legal employment protections and benefits to native citizens.
2) Foreign nationals are treated the same as native citizens when searching for employment.
3) Foreign nationals may only be employed in circumstances where the government has determined there is a labour shortage.
4) Foreign nationals are forbidden to seek employment.
5) Local governments determine the law with regards to the employment of foreign nationals.

How about this?
