Name of the Law/Policy: The legality of divorces
Law/Policy Category: Civil Liberties

Proposed addition:
1)Only divorces that comply with religious doctrine are legal.

Effect: Large increase in fanaticism, large increase in conservatism, large increase in restrictiveness
To live outside the law, you must be honest.

The law sets below on marriage and divorce have been implemented. Due to some rejigging, a few nations may have found their settings on the divorce law have been disturbed. Apologies for this, but don't panic - just pass a new law to put the setting back to whatever you want.

Name of the Law/Policy: Government policy toward marriage.
Law/Policy Category: Civil liberties

1) The government only recognises civil marriages between a man and a woman.
2) Civil marriages are defined by local governments.
3) The government allows all consenting adults to obtain civil marriage contracts.
4) The government does not involve itself in marriage or civil unions.
5) Only marriages that comply with religious doctrine are recognised.

Name of the Law/Policy: The legality of divorces (if marriage is recognised)
Law/Policy Category: Civil liberties

1) Divorces are legal, be it mutual consent, grounded cause or if one partner wants it.
2) Divorces are only legal with grounded cause (such as adultery or violence).
3) Divorces are only legal with mutual consent.
4) Only divorces that comply with religious doctrine are legal.
5) Divorces are prohibited.
6) The legality of divorces is left up to the local governments.

I would quite like for one to have the possibility of having a 'de facto' and 'de jure' capital.
It would also give the ability for you to select two cities as capitals.

Administrative:
Options:
1. The nation has one capital for government business and head of state.
2. The nation has one capital, but the government and head of state do not necessarily live there.
3. The nation is split into two regions with their own capitals.
4. The whole nation has two capitals.

Also, like the death penalty on public/private law, you can have a law under the capital one, for secondary capitals. The name of a secondary capital will not appear if options 3 or 4 are not national law.

The issue here is that this looks rather like a constitutional law, and we are not able to manually input constitutional laws (ie. laws requiring a 2/3rds majority) into the game.

We would also not be able to introduce a way of displaying a second capital city on the nation page.

But players can, of course, use the RP laws to introduce second capital cities (see sections 10 & 11 of the rules).

Current:

1) The government subsidises a national radio station for educational and informational purposes.
2) All radio stations are owned by the state.
3) All radio stations are owned by independent non-profit-making cooperatives which are subsidised by the government.
4) All radio stations are owned by independent non-profit-making cooperatives which receive no subsidies from the government.
5) The government subsidises independent non-profit-making cooperatives for educational and informational purposes; other private non-subsidised radio stations are allowed.

5) The government subsidises independent non-profit-making cooperatives for educational and informational purposes; other private non-subsidised radio stations are allowed.

Reason:

The law is basically the same as the Television stations law, except that the radio stations law lacks the extra sentence I proposed.
