Once your idea for a new law or variable has been discussed/debated upon by the playing community, a final draft will need to be decided upon.

Please reply in this thread with a link to the exact POST (I repeat: a link to the POST, not just the thread) containing the final draft, so that the Moderation team can assess the proposal.

Here, we will respond either positively or negatively.

Well I have one proposal, albeit I do not actually know if it's practical or not.

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2569&p=20394#p20394

Name of the Law/Policy: Head of State Veto Power
Law/Policy Category: Administrative

Options:
1. Head of State has unlimited Veto power
2. Head of State has Veto power, only on bills not passing by a constitutional majority
3. Head of State has Veto power, only on changes to Administrative laws, or on ratification of International Treaties.
4. Head of State does not have any Veto power what-so-ever

Effects:
1. Huge Increase in Centralization, Huge Decrease in Government Responsibilities
2. Increase in Centralization, Decrease in Government Responsibilities
3. None OR Small Increase in Centralization, Small Decrease in Government Responsibilities
4. Small Decrease in Centralization, Small Increase in Government Responsibilities OR None

Comments:
Not sure on the effects, or on the practicality.

Ahh we finally get a proposal! Thankyou.

Unfortunately, it must be denied. It's simply not possible to be implemented into the game mechanics.

Dregs wrote:Name of the Law/Policy: Government Position on Paramilitaries
Law/Policy Category: Military

Options:

1. Paramilitaries are illegal.
2. Paramilitaries are not officially acknowledged. (default)
3. Paramilitaries are allowed but are regulated by the government.
4. Paramilitaries are allowed.

Effects:

1. Moderate Increase in Pacifism, moderate decrease in Militarism
2. Slight Increase in Pacifism, slight decrease in Militarism
3. Slight Decrease in Pacifism, slight increase in Militarism
4. Large Decrease in Pacifism, large increase in Militarism

Just to flesh it out a little. Allows and option that the government does not take any actual stance or action on paramilitaries unless they act against other laws in place.

I know this isn't my law, it was conceived by Afrocentric and Dregs. This law however will further immerse the game for many many people and I suggest that we implement it.

I have edited the proposal a bit, Farsun, if you like you can take a look. I tried covering what I personally considered a small loophole.
