This sub-forum has been created for the playing community to request the creation of new laws and variables to be added into Particracy Classic.
We present, the process:1)
NEW THREADA player must create a new thread for every new law or new variable they wish to request be added in to Particracy Classic. If you are requesting a new law, your opening post must have the title of the new law and include the information suggested in the
PROPOSED LAW TEMPLATE.
2)
PUBLIC DEBATEThe thread will be open to public opinion and debate for at least a week - during which time the playing community is invited to approve, disapprove or suggest changes or additions to the idea. This debate phase is important, in order to evaluate the extent of interest for the proposed law, and its usefulness.
3)
FINAL APPROVAL THREADOnce a final draft has been decided upon by the playing community, the creator of the final draft must post a reply in the
Final Draft Approval Thread with a link to the specific post containing the final draft.
4)
EVALUATION PERIODAfter step 3, moderation will evaluate the proposed law. There is no time frame for this step and you must have patience.
5)
APPROVED OR DENIEDIf the request is approved, the Moderation team will discuss, refine and eventually implement the proposal. Upon approval, the proposed new law, in its refined form, will be archived in the respective thread. Upon denial, the proposed new law will be archived in the respective thread.
We suggest, as follows:A)
SEARCHYou should make a search within the archives and the topics within this section of the forum, in order to see whether your idea has already been proposed or has been passed or denied.
B)
WE ARE NO GODSWe ask all members of the community to understand that due to the workload of the moderation team and the amount of work it takes to create new laws, it would be impossible for us to approve every single request. As such, some suggestions may be denied simply because it is deemed not to be an essential addition for the betterment of the game. Additionally, a request may be denied if it is deemed to be too controversial or if it is mechanically not possible to implement. We are aiming to implement as many good ideas as possible, but please take the above message into account before complaining that your idea is rejected.
C)
WE ARE NO GODS IICurrently, we can only add multiple-choice laws that require a simple majority - anything else is not within the powers of the moderation team. That means that all bills concerning obvious constitutional matter, or text boxes (like Anthem bills, or bills for tax rates), or other "unusual" variables (like the capital city law), will automatically be rejected, because we just can't implement them.
