I believe that we should be able to have a few more ways of voting like IRV and AV+.

Whilst I agree that would be nice, since major work on the programming side of the game is halted, there is probably no chance of that being introduced in the short to medium-term. What I suppose you and your fellow players in Luthori are free to do is to form an agreement on some kind of system that simulates electoral results for local and/or regional government elections, or even for an upper house (though probably not one with much power).

Unless you know somebody who is great with coding and wouldn't mind fixing the game for free or a small price, that isn't going to be an option.
