Law/Policy Category: Science

Options:
1)Animals may not be used for any research.
2)Animal research projects must apply for a license and submit to regulation.
3)The use of animals in research is subject to basic regulations.
4)Animals cannot be used for Human-related experiments.
5)There are no restrictions on the use of animals for research.

Effects:
1-3 and 5) as previously
4) More environmental, more liberal, more regulations

Can you tell us what you mean by "human-related experiments"?

It means that animals cannot be used in experiments that benefit humans.
Animals can however be used in experiments that benefit animals.

e.g. If there was an experiment to see if a drug to cure cancer was tainted, an animal could not be used in the experiment.
