Proposal: Government policy on the side of the road the population drives on.
Category: Administrative or Unsorted

1: The national government mandates all drivers to drive on the right side of all roads.
2: The national government mandates all drivers to drive on the left side of all roads.
3: The decision of the side of the road drivers drive on is left to local governments.
4: Sides of the road are unregulated.

Effect:

1 & 2: slightly less unitarist/more federalist
3: slightly less federalist/more unitarist
4: moderately less federalist/more unitarist

I love this idea. It would be one of those fun things to have that doesn't really shift the ideologies we focus on more often.

I think you have the unitary/federalist thing mixed up, though.

Unitarist = Strong central government. Think "uni" = one, as in one central government for the nation.
Federalist = Weaker central government and stronger local governments.
