Name of the Law/Policy: Government policy concerning gender identities

Law/Policy Catagory: Civil rights

Options:
1) The government takes no position on this. (Default)
2) The government allows the individual to decide on gender identity.
3) The government recognizes male and female and a "third gender" category.
4) The government recognizes only the male and female genders.
5) The government recognizes only the male and female genders and persecutes "queer" individuals.
6) Local governments decide on gender identities.

Name of the Law/Policy: Government policy concerning the ability to change the legal definition of one's gender

Law/Policy Category: Civil rights

1) There is no law regarding the changing of a person's legal gender identity.
2) Individuals are allowed to change their legal gender identity.
3) Individuals are allowed to change their legal gender identity, but if they are married, their married partner must consent.
4) Individuals are not allowed to change their legal identity.
5) Sub-national governments decide whether individuals can change their legal gender identity.

Personally I prefer the original draft. I think either of these would be cool to have in the game though.

Aquinas' proposal could also be interesting, though I of course prefer my own draft ;) . Basically my draft concerns more how gender is defined, while the other proposal presupposes a certain categorization. I did propose another law addition concerning sex change though:
