Whale Island: The World Congress Climate Control Panel has released a report last week on the phenomenon known in Terra as "Global Cooling".
The panel, consisting of more then 40 renowned scientists from all over Terra, released their report just months before another "Global Cooling" event is expected to happen once more.

In the report the panel described the imminent danger of Global Cooling and stated that if no action is undertaken Terra could face another "Cold Age" with the northern nations on terra facing the most problems. The WCCCP described the possibility of "intense snow storms" in nations like Kazulia, Dankuk, Dorvik and Trigunia. Colder tempteratures will also have the effect of electrical lines freezing, leaving people without essential services and possibly causing more deaths then governments are currently used to.

The continued global cooling also has an affect on global trade as northern seatrade lanes could end up frozen shut. Stopping the flow of goods over these important tradelanes.

The WCCCP has issued a series of advisory measures terran nations can enact to limit the effect of global cooling. Stating that nations should invest in heat generation technology in order to protect vital electricity and waterlines as well as investing in emergency systems in case services do end up failing. The WCCCP issued the greatest warning to the nations in the north of Terra namely Kazulia, Dorvik and other nations in the northern hemisphere as they are in "imminent danger" of the worsening effects of global cooling.

Skalm: Following increased tensions between the Dovani neighbours of Kazulia and Dankuk stock markets in both nations have shown a slight loss in the last few days. For months tensions between the two nations have been steadily increasing as Dankuk becomes more provocative and Kazulia ever more reponsive to the threat the new regime in Dankuk poses.

Investors have not ignored this build up of tensions and have shown their fear in the recent stock market reports of both nations as for days slight lossess have been reported in both Skalm and Gongmangdo. In Dankuk the situation is however extremely dire as sanctions imposed by Kazulia and several of its allies have caused certain essential goods to become scarce and the economy has taken a major dive last month with a growthrate of -3% at the lowest. Unemployment in the dovani nation is also rising as the sanctions take a every increasing grip over Dankuk society.

Many fear that this buildup of tensions combined with the worsening conditions within Dankuk will spark another regional war between the two powers, creating even more uncertainty on international markets.

Terra: All over terra temperatures are dropping as the first Global Cooling event in over a century has hit the planet. After warnings and reports by the WCCCP of the world congress northern nations and even some nations in the middle of terra had prepared for the next Cooling Event. But last week it finally hit our planet. As the sun entered its "Cooling Phase" temperatures all accross terra dropped with the North being hit even harder then initially expected. In the nation of Trigunia reports have come in off waterpipes freezing in several rural areas, causing the flow of fresh water to these places to be halted. In Kazulia electricity lines to several mayor cities have been frozen causing severe electricity shortages, however the Kazulian government had prepared for the event and is already handing out supplies to parts of the country hit. In Dankuk the war has practically been halted as vehicles are stucked in large mountains of snow and extreme low temperatures have even at several occasions damaged vehicle fuel systems. The extreme low temperatures have also caused several sealanes to be closed due to them being frozen shut.

Snowstorms have ravaged highways and cities all accross the North with the nations of Dankuk, Trigunia, Kazulia, Kizenia, Egellion, Hulstria and Hutori hit the most. Even in the country of Aldegar reports have come in of record low temperatures and even snowfall, something that is rarely seen in the nation at this time of the year. Further south temperatures have also dropped but not to extreme levels. In the generally hot continent of Majatra temperatures have dropped from 29 degrees at average to around 19 degrees at average within the first few days of the event. This is still a significant drop but has not caused major problems as of yet.

Northern nations are taking significant measures already but the WCCCP advises these nations to put more effort into making available "as much resources as possible to alleviate the suffering of mostly rural communities in their country during this cooling period"

The current cooling period is expected to last around 8 months after which the sun and therefor terra will slowly begin to warm up once more.

Majatran Sea: The recent nuclear test by the Grand Empire of Deltaria in the majatran sea has left its marks on the inner ocean of the continent. The nuclear test was conducted 2 weeks ago and its effects have already been showing themselves greatly. Scientists have entered the area in which the test was conducted with special equipment to protect themselves but also measure radiation levels, which were according to the report "extremely high" confirming that the test was much stronger then any previous deltarian nuclear test. But the scientists were not only there to measure radiation levels. Alarmed by the effects of the previous test in the majatran sea, which left its marks on nature for years to come, the scientists looked for effects on nature in the affected area and what they discovered was catastrophic.

After conducting several tests they came accross dead whales, fish and other animals. When they roamed the sea with a underwater camera the scientists found hundreds of dead plants and sea animals scattered accross the bottom of the sea with many more drifting accross the sea itself. The water also reported immense radiation levels, likely the cause of the mass death of these animals and plants.
The great amounts of plantlife in the area for which the majatran sea is partially known for has been reduced by a astounding 78% according to the scientists, creating a massive environmental disaster as animals that did survive the detonation are now left with virtually no food to live off, likely causing more death amongst fish and other sea animals.

Dozens of environmental organizations have condemned Deltaria for the test and the World Congress Environmental Control Panel or WCECP has also condemned Deltaria, stating that "its actions have caused one of the greatest environmental disasters of the decade" and calling on its government to "take full responsibility"
Many expect other international reactions to follow.

Dovani: In a worrying report the World Congress Health Organization (WCHO) has described a deadly virus raging in the central dovani nations of Midway, Bianji and Medina. The Virus which the WCHO now describes as "Omala-1" is a highly contagious virus originating from the rural areas of midway. It described as being able to "swell the neck and cause severe breathing problems" as well as "causing severe flue that, if no adequate healthcare is available, will do significant bodily harm or possibly kill a individual"

The WCHO has now reported the Virus to be "widespread" in Bianji and Midway and has reported small outbreaks in rural areas of Medina. The WCHO states that other Dovani nations may be prone to be affected by the Virus in the future and has issued warnings to any nation in the danger zone. The organization has also send aid to the affected nations in Dovani and its own health teams to aid local authorities in keeping the Virus under control.

ASIM claims world-wide terrorist attacks
December, 4563

Inn a stunning array of organization and terror, the Ahmadi State in Majatra has claimed the lives of over 100 people today from across a dozen nations. A simultaneous attacks carried out across the world today in countries such as Aloria, Dorvik, Aldegar, Kazulia, Lourenne, Vanuku, Trigunia, Narikaton and Darnussia and Mordusia have prompted many authorities to be alarmed about the growth radicalism within the once "defeated" Ahmadi State in Majatra. The attacks, using mostly home made, improvised explosive devices were detonated across different time zones at simultaneously the same time. The largest attacks came in Kafuristan where the Presidential Palace in al-Kasraj was bombed and attacked by armed gunmen wearing Kafuri Majatran Army uniforms.

Northern Terra: Several weather installations have recorded record low temperatures all accross northern Terra. The recorded temperatures, which sometimes dip to -40 degrees celcius where it would normally only be around -25. These temperatures are concerning for a variety of reasons. It makes it clear that the problems concerning global cooling are real and evident. It also shows the vulnerability of the world despite several nations like Dorvik and Kazulia taking measures to protect their vital infrastructure.

Roads in mainly northern Kazulia and Dorvik have been unreachable for half a day already and even several oceanic trade routes have been made impassable by ice forming. The nations of Hutori and Dorvik have been hit the hardest however with 40 people already reported dead and power lines failing to provide power due to being frozen. Underground power lines, layed down during the previous cold crisis, have been partially failing as well due to the extreme temperatures.

Several Northern governments have already reported new measures to combat the extreme cold. But as records keep breaking some wonder where it will end.
