King Julien seriously injured by Valruzian airstrikes

The rightful King of Noumonde Julien XIII has been seriously injured by a Valruzian airstrike on a Noumondian
government base he was in the process of storming. He was leading the King Julien XIII Volunteer Brigade into
battle when Valruzian forces bombed the coastal fort.

Despite his injuries, King Julien has declared from his hospital bed that he has no ill will towards the Valruzians
but has suggested that they coordinate any future actions with the Noumondian opposition. The king is expected
to make a full recovery by next week.

According to reports from high-placed sources within Noumonde, Noumonde's small navy and air force have been entirely wiped out in the early stages of the bombing campaign, and significant structural damage has been inflicted upon the rest of Noumonde's army as well.

Reports are also coming in that a number of terrified Noumon soldiers commandeered military naval vessels and sailed off in the direction of the Federation and Valruzian fleets, feverishly waving white flags and begging to surrender.

The military regime has released propaganda films claiming the Valruzian and Federation troops are wetting and defecating in their bed blankets, and are en masse leaping off their ships into the ocean in order to commit suicide, because they are so terrified of having to face "our brave Noumon soldiery". However, even the regime's most passionate supporters do not seem to be taking these claims entirely seriously.

King Julien lands in Nouville

The people of Nouville awoke this morning to see a ship heading directly for the beach behind Government
House's gardens. At the bow was none other than their rightful king, His Royal Highness the illustrious King
Julien XIII, self-proclaimed Lord of the Lemurs, Julakoto-on-Terra, etc., etc. While initially shocked, his
subjects flocked to the ship, where upon crashing into the beach the rightful king disembarked by use of a
slide to officially announce his return.



This announcement was met by deafening cheers and fervent declarations of support, and his own declaration
that he would challenge General Blanchard to a duel was met with even louder cheering. The cheering died down
somewhat when he clarified that the duel would be a dance-off, but came back even louder when he further
clarified that the dance-off would be to the point of complete physical exhaustion.

General Blanchard unveils Action Canrillaise International volunteers



At another hastily-convened press conference in war-weary Nouville, General Blanchard has showcased his 93 Action Canrillaise International volunteers, all overseas Canrillaise - mainly from Alduria, Kanjor, Lourenne, Mordusia and Rildanor - who have come to Noumonde to help defend the regime from invasion by the Federation and Valruzia. General Blanchard heaped praise on the recruits, describing how "these brave young men have come to help good King Norbert defend his realm from international cowboys and war criminals".

Most of the recruits are in their late teens or early 20s, and are believed to have been radicalised over online social media. Five of the recruits, three from Lourenne and two from Alduria, are only 14 years old, and a further seven are only 16.

In a passionate speech, General Blanchard told "the Canrillaise world" that "we are of your flesh, of your blood and of your bone" and that "we are your brothers and your sisters, your fathers and your children". Further, he declared it was "insane and sacrilegious that Canrillaise are fighting Canrillaise in this senseless war". He denounced "the forces of Liberal Neo-Imperialism" for "having an agenda to obliterate Canrillaise culture, Canrillaise values and Canrillaise prestige".

General Blanchard also offered journalist his latest peace plan: a 32 page document entitled Next Steps to Peace, proposing to create a "Malgy Homeland" in the middle of Valruzia, called "Valgyland", which the Malgy in Noumonde would be encouraged to emigrate to.
