New Alduria Offers Ambassador St. Pierre as Peace Talks Chair

New Aldurian Chief Minister Marcel du Champ has offered the services of his World Congress Ambassador, Jacque St. Pierre to chair the peace talks and Constitutional Convention in neighbouring Noumonde.

Ambassador St. Pierre has a long history of dealing with the World Congress, and representing New Alduria abroad. Further his Malagasy blood, but long history with Canrallise nation make him ideally suited to handle the delicate task of dealing with both.

New Alduria has taken an increasingly active role in Temanian affairs since the ascendancy of Marcel du Champ to the Chief Minister's chair, as New Alduria has come to quickly dominate the continent militarily, economically and diplomatically, thanks to it's membership in the Northern Council and it's closeness with Hutori, which has lavished New Alduria with military trainers, aid money, trade deals and corporate contracts from Hutorian major companies like Horizon Technology and Ross Motors.

New Alduria Beefs Up Border in Light of Absolute Regime to the South

Image
Chief Minister Marcel du Champ

New Alduria's Chief Minister, Marcel du Champ, has announced new security measures at the border with Temania in light of the change of regime in the southern nation that shares the continent's name.

We are concerned by the change of regime to absolutism in Temania, especially as we have seen the destruction of absolutism and authoritarianism both in neighboring Noumonde from their former military junta and during the long reign of Emperor Azeez I. Dovani, Stratica and Temania all rejected this form of authority and we alarmed that a nation is so willing submitting to that kind of authority after we fought so long during the Dovani War for our freedoms. With this mind, we are not cutting off diplomatic relations with Temania but we are taking steps to ensure that absolutism does not find it's way into our democracy that we have fought so long for and we are so proud of.

"
The New Aldurian Defence Force moved three Brigades to the long border with Temania for "extended manouvers" with their Hutorian allies, with du Champ as well promising additional funds for the New Aldurian Border Security Agency to beef up security at the long border. Bekenial quietly announced that the IX Mountain Corps, the permanent unit attached to New Alduria as apart of the Northern Council Temanian Security Assistance Force, would be reinforced with an armoured Division, boosting it's numbers back up to 75,000, joining the 7th Mountain Division and 14th Infantry Division that have long been made permanent staples in Hutori itself.

New Alduria has become Hutori's largest overseas base, being home to now 75,000 ground troops, the 7th Marine Expeditionary Regiment, the 7th Fleet and the 8th Mixed Composite Wing, making any invasion or threat to Temania effectively neutered from threat of Hutorian intervention.

New Alduria Puts St. Pierre to Rest

New Alduria is in a state of deep mourning as long serving Chief Minister Jacque St. Pierre has been confirmed to having passed away early this week. Jacque St. Pierre, who was the former New Aldurian Ambassador to the World Congress, and later the Chairman of the Noumonde Constitutional Convention, which ultimately gave birth to the mdoern Noumonde state. Following that, he rose the rest of the way to the top of New Alduria's political body, serving as Chief Minister for the past 15 years without break, making him the longest serving democratically elected head of government in New Aldurian history.

Jacque St. Pierre's chief lieutenant, Richard Mopoho, the Minister of Defense, is expected to ascend the top of the reigning Liberal Democratic Party, which has ruled New Alduria since the end of the Dovani War.

New Alduria's turning to the Minister of Defence is regarded as a reaction to the belligerent Imperialist regime in neighboring Temania. Since the rise of the Royal Family, and their long push for modernization and expansion of their armed forces, the New Aldurian Defence Force, has become more and more prominent in New Aldurian society. Mopoho has stated he won't rock the boat, but is rumored to be seeking closer relations with Noumonde to provide a united front against the increasingly hostile Temania.

New Aldurian Referendum Held Senate Formed

After referendum was held the New Aldurian people decided 65.2% to 34.8% to form a 100 seat senate and an elected presidency the election will be held in one month and the current projections are.

Republican Party of New Alduria: 32.1% and 29 seats
New Aldurian Nationalist Party: 29% and 32 seats
Progressive Party: 25% and 30 seats
Reform: 4% and 9 seats

The president will be chosen through a electoral district system, each senator has 1 district and whichever canadaite gets the most votes i that district wins 1 delegate, however if in a district a canadaite does not reach over 50% of the vote, then the bottom canadaites vote is redistributed using a ranked choice system, 51 delegates are required to win if no one reaches 51, then another presidential election is held with the top 2 canadaites.

OOC: Please note that this goes against the New Aldurian cultural description. New Alduria is described as: "New Alduria – French and Haitian Creole (Inspiration: Caribbean islands, namely Haiti)" not the United States nor very much English at all. I'll expect that this RP has been edited or changed within the coming days or else we'll be revoking your right to play in New Alduria.

Here are the rules on the Third World from the Particracy Game Rules since it appears you've forgotten them:

Section 9 - Third World

1. Players interested in assuming control over a Third World nation must have a forum account over 30 days old and be in good standing with the Particracy Game Rules;

2. Players who meet the above mentioned criteria should request control in the Third World Control Requests thread located HERE;
-- 2a. Players who request control must contain the name of the nation they are seeking to control;
-- 2b. Players are generally asked to disclose their plans for the nation, if they do not Moderation can require that they do so;

3. Players may request control for a nation that is currently occupied, Moderation (or the Third World Coordinator) will make a decision based on the factors present at the time of request;

4. Moderation retains authority on permitting, removing or otherwise overseeing operations of the Third World alongside the Third World Coordinator (if present) and may change, alter, "ret-con" as a matter of basis;

5. Players in control of Third World nations are permitted governance over all domestic and foreign affairs, cultural affairs are restricted to the national descriptions provided by the Third World Information thread located HERE. Third World nations are also included in the Particracy Military and Economic Rankings located HERE;

6. Third World nations are members of the World Congress and thus are permitted to contribute to its discussions;

7. Third World nations cannot be controlled, re-colonized or other source of direct assumption of power by an in-game nation. These nations are intended for role-play opportunities that may not be possible;

8. Players are expected to respect the established role-play history of a third world nation if assuming control from another player or other circumstances;
