Government of Bianje to start ethnic cleansing, Attacks Foreign Sectors with Chemical Weapons

The Gas Mixed With the Terrible Bianje Smog Killing and Injuring Many People, The Attack was Against Foreigners Living In Bianje

Germun, Bianje
August, 12th, 4747

The Kahn of Bianje the glorious leader of the realm has announced the first stages of "foreigner eradication" in Bianje. The Khan reported the attacks to hit a large sector in the capital hitting groups such as the government's opposition, and unspecified foreign groups. The leader is the realm made a passionate speech today praising his armed forces for the successful attack

Today Bianjie is taking steps toward freedom. Freedom from foreign influence. Freedom from those who undermine this government and what we have done to help people. We are breaking the eternal bondage our people have suffered under. We are overlooked. It is time for us to be on the international stage. To all foreign government's I say leave this country or more of your people will suffer the consequences. It is time for the workers to rise. For Bianjie to return to what she once was. It is time for use to unite as a people free and separated under our principals. The sacrifice out loyalists have payed in the ensuing attacks will not be forgotten.

The chemical weapons more then likely came from secret black market sources as Bianjie cannot make their own. The attacks come as growing sentiment towards foreigners is near boiling point as riots have been suppressed in the past against the government and their policies. These attacks mark a new escalation of ethnic tensions here and a huge step towards violence in the region.

Local hospitals are being overrun with people with gas poisoning and lung conditions. The initial estimates say that 500-1000 people are dead and 5000+ are injured. Many civilians have started to call out the government and many critics are ramping up concerns against the Bianjian government. Bianjian borders are seeing an influx of people leaving Bianjie as the Kahn has started to ramp up security measures on the borders.

When will Dovani and the Third World be Peaceful Again...

Bianjie Releases 500 Foreign Prisoners and Announces "The Chemical Attacks Were a Hoax"

Image
Foreigners Arrive to Freedom After Spending 2 years in Prison

Germun, Bianjie
March 12th 4750

The Government of Bianjie announced that the Chemical Attacks over 2 years ago were a hoax. 500 of the presumed dead people were released from prison alive and well. The government announced that the decoy attacks worked and that the desired people left Bianjie. The Kahn proudly announced that he had tricked the international community and slammed the agencies that attempted to give aid for a problem which never happened.

The Glorious Bianjie Government has tricked all of World Order. Every country except for Dorvik believed our story. It worked as well as we could have expected. We have sent everyone who does not belong here packing for home. Now we will close our borders so no one can come back in. We must protect our homeland from foreign threats which are active constantly. The World Congress has failed. They are a failure. A bunch of bumbling Yaks sitting around in a large chamber thinking they can control the Third World. It is time for the Third World to rise up against the oppressors. Against those that think they know best for us. Bianjie will not listen to the bumbling baboons. They are incompetent, and easily fooled. Leave Bianjie in peace. We have released your people. They are safe now. We took good care of them, we abided by the Prisoner of War treaties and we did nothing wrong. Bianjie does not need intervention. Anyone trying to disturb our isolation will pay dearly.

To think that the international community was fooled by Bianjie marks a huge accomplishment for Bianjie as they try and start a new existence in isolation. During this time it is expected that international pressure will increase and Bianjie security will also increase. The future is uncertain.

Bianjie to Start Heightened Defense Around Capital and Borders as International Pressure Builds, New Mezist Group Arrested By Regime

Image
Soldiers Stand Outside a Major Bus Terminal in Germun

Germun, Bianjie
March, 1st 4752

Mounting Pressure Builds on Bianjie as the war torn divided nation now prepares for a new gauntlet, war. As the Security Coucil decides the option of an intervention the Kahn wasted no time in mounting defenses along the Western Border, and especially along the coastlines. Barbed, wire, landmines, pillboxes, and numerous checkpoints are restricting travel throughout the country as major highways remain empty. Left Wing Radical Groups following beliefs in Communism and Metzism have risen up across the country as well taking small villages and proclaiming change. With each passing day the decisions of the SC are followed closely by most Bianjians as stress, fear and tyranny build up to the point of breaking. As the nation becomes even more divided, stability between the Communists and the Right Wing Government Supporting Groups Remain Fragile.

Image
The Red Star one of the Many Communist Militias Springing to Life in Bianjie.

As the country perilously dives towards uncertainty and the possibility of war life here is becoming difficult. In Germun shops are closed as woman and children are hiding in their homes. Military personal stand on street corners as buses with government troops raid houses looking for Communist sympathizers or anyone else who is against the state. Even bread is becoming scarce as sanctions have crippled this country's limited economy. One family taken in to a foreign embassy said this

Every day they come to your house burst through and ravage your cupboards. Once they found your food they would leave. There were times we would not see any food for 4-5 days straight. I am glad to be out of there.

International Pressure and Sanctions have caused even the Communists who are fervently against the Fascist Government to despise growing international pressure and sanctions. Still in it's infancy the movement is growing stronger, showing signs of a possible civil war. The regime's grip on the country is loose at its best. Contraband and arms are still being smuggled through the border and food and supplies is being sent to people illegally despite the regime's strict border policies. In outlying towns the security is loose and non existent. Some soldiers have joined the one of many Communist militias or they have left their post to blend in with the population. These things are causing absolute chaos and disunity inside of Bianjie.

Old Khan Deposed by Nephew, Dorgon Alin Takes Salt Throne

Image
The new Khan dismantles his uncles excessive harem

After years of internal confusion, threats of rebellion and foreign intervention, and misrule, Dorgon Alin, nephew to Dorgon Riknaak and head of the Red Banner, secured Gemun and overthrew his uncle, establishing himself as Khan of Bianjie. The exact sequence of events were nothing short of strategic brilliance on the new Khan's part.

Thanks to Dorgon Riknaak's hard headed policies, peasant militias espousing Metzism formed, threatening yet another civil war in Bianjie. However, understanding that this was more of an extreme reaction to a set of extreme policies, Dorgon Alin used his position as head of the Red Banner to rally the Metzist militias. Due to their lack of education, they believed Dorgon Alin and the Red Banner Army were the largest Metzist militia - red being a Metzist color - and happily assimilated. Marching from the north, Dorgon Alin managed to pick up even more militias, which created a large and imposing rag tag Ladiband of misfit peasants. This was intimidating to Dorgon Riknaak to say the least.

Upon seeing such a large force, Dorgon Riknaak attempted to flea Gemun. However, even his own generals had tired of his extravagant and eccentric methods. They easily captured him, tied him with rope, and threw him off the ramparts of the Gemun city walls. After all, no royal blood should be shed by human hands...so the ground did it for them. Even before the Dorgon Riknaak's death, the Bianjie military leadership opened the gates of the city, welcoming their new Khan with open arms.

Dorgon Alin is nothing like his uncle. He is a traditionalist, yes, but would not be so stupid as to irk the Great Powers into a military intervention. He knows that thee are many who wish to see Dovani perpetually in ruins and under the thumb of foreign oppression. Know that he must distinguish himself, the new khan forwent an enthronement ceremony and immediately sent a letter to the World Congress General Assembly which stated:
Ladies and gentlemen of the General Assembly, Your Excellencies, Dorgon Riknaak, my uncle and former Khan of Bianjie, is no more. By the grace of the Great Sky, the people have installed me as their new leader.

Let it be known that my uncle was nothing short of a tyrant. His actions discredited his position and dishonored his country. I promise you, such actions will never return to Bianjie while I sit upon the Salt Throne. The government of Bianjie desires to work with you all, including the Security Council, to discover what exactly my uncle did. We stand ready to assist and are more than happy to provide restitution and atonement.

Despite our varied past of civil war, we are a pastoral people caught in the throes of modernity. During the Spring and Summer, we prefer to be nomads, while in the Fall and Winter we prefer to be sedentary in urban areas. I seek to emphasize the traditional and the modern during my rule to bring peace and prosperity to my people once and for all and on their terms. Bianjie will not be the deranged denizen of Dovani any further.

Khan Implements New Succession Laws to Prevent Future Civil War, Hints at Greater Political Reform

Image
The Khan and the Khatun sit for their official portraits

The new Khan Dorgon Alin has wasted no time in fixing the mess his deceased uncle left him. For centuries, Bianjie has been a bastion of turmoil, death, and civil war. Dorgon Riknaak would have continued this trend from the grave had Dorgon Alin and his Red Banner not intervened. Khan Dorgon Alin, in one of his first major acts, issued a "Pronouncement from the Salt Throne" enacting a new model of succession.

Under the new system, the Dorgon Clan would elect a male-line member among them to the position of Khan once the previous Khan passed. In essence, it would reduce the incentive for civil war by giving all male Dorgon Clan members a chance to take the Salt Throne, while also helping to ensure that the Khan acted in the best interests of Bianjie, which is also in the best interests of the clan. Compared to the rest of Terra's monarchies, the move is quite novel. It introduces a degree of democratic accountability and could make future political reforms more palatable, something Khan Dorgon Alin is expected to embark upon.

Although still speculative, it is possible that the Khan will introduce a legislature made up and elected by livestock owners, as well as Banner and clan leaders, to advise the government. Such a system would place Bianjie on the path to democratization, albeit slowly.

With these reforms in mind, Khan Dorgon Alin appears to want to improve Bianjie's image. One can already see modest improvement with the government's compliance with the World Congress Security Council. It is only a matter of time before the investigation announces conclusions. Gemun is eager for a clean Bianjie.

Khan Requests International Assistance to Develop and Reform - Looks to Seko and Hanzen

Image
A Bianjie noble hunting in the mountains

Having already announced compliance with the World Congress' Security Council resolution calling for an international investigation to possible crime committed by the previous regime, the government of Bianjie has already sought greater international cooperation. Under Khan Dorgon Alin, Bianjie has already implemented a revolutionary reform to the succession laws - opening up the opportunity for more reforms. The Khan is eager to eliminate the stain on Bianjie brought about by his ancestors.

So far, analysts predict reforms to focus on economic matters. After all, the Khan used his Red Banner army to trick Metzist groups into joining him. He has a vested interest in ensuring their loyalty so that the new regime may survive. Although Gemun cannot fully endorse the Metzist philosophy, it can work to achieve more modest goals. Thus, Bianjie has begun to turn its eyes toward a former colonial master. Not Yingdala - while although most culturally similar, they are not neutral in foreign affairs - but Seko.

Khan Dorgon Alin is said to be fascinated with the Seko model of development. He has seen it in action in Hanzen and marveled at how development is directed and controlled by the nation, preserving sovereignty and tradition, while maintaining social stability. He is said to have contacted both the President of Seko and the King of Hanzen, gifting each leader a horse, a bow, and a quiver of arrows; inviting them to hunt with him while discussing matters of state.

Proper development is essential for Bianjie. Vicious rumors in Western nations claim that the country is a hotbed of corruption, narcotics, and other crimes. Khan Dorgon Alin is eager to prove these rumors false.

While change can be disruptive, good change is necessary for Bianjie if it wishes to survive.

As Gemun Questions the Whereabouts of the World Congress, Khan Announces "Double Betrothal" of Prince and Princess to Yingdalan Royals

Image
Traditional Bianjie wedding attire

Leaders of the government of Bianjie have grown increasingly frustrated with the World Congress lately. After many years since the overthrow of the previous Khan and Bianjie's welcoming of a Security Council investigation, no action has occurred.

Since then, Bianjie has made a number of reforms to encourage stability and shirk the image of a civil war-ridden steppe. These include both economic and political reforms many traditionalists would consider to be "left-leaning." This is no surprise as many Metzists in the Khanate support His Majesty Khan Dorgon Alin, who is equally using them to remain in power. Part of this arrangement was to comply with the World Congress Security Council resolution to conduct an investigation, accompanied by peacekeepers, regarding Bianjie's past abhorrent actions.

Like the reforms, traditional leaders are not entirely please with the Khan's compliance with the World Congress directive. Gemun's read of the situation, however, has been quite good. While the government has urged the World Congress to investigate, they have not made direct pleas at the World Congress, for fear of inciting traditional unrest. Instead, the government is quite content on issuing domestic press statements, likely in the hopes that the World Congress will continue to ignore them.

In the meantime, Khan Dorgon Alin has sought the support of other Gao-Showan nations, like Seko and Hanzen, for development assistance. He has been wary to reach out to Yingdala or Drania, fearing that investment from those nations would simply lead to neo-colonialism. However, His Majesty has reached an agreement with Yingdala, at least in terms of soft power.

It had been widely publicized that the Son of Heaven had been search for a suitable royal, preferably Gao-Showan or Jelbo-Tukaric, to wed his grandson and future Son of Heaven, Prince Yu Wen. Having little luck, the Son of Heaven contacted the Khan of Bianjie out of desperation. Seeking an opportunity, the Khan agreed to a match, but only if Prince Yu Wen and the Khan's daughter, Princess Dorgon Ilha, agreed. However, the Khan would also require a Princess of Yingdala (to be chosen by the Son of Heaven) for his son, Prince Dorgon Sholontu, as well as a large dowry. Yingdala had no choice but to agree, partially out of necessity, but also out of a desire to "make up for colonialism."

Therefore, in a years time, a "double-wedding" will occur in both Yingdala and Bianjie. Although both families will be tied together, there is no guarantee that the future Khan of Bianjie will be a female-line descendant of the House of Yu. Regardless, the match signifies a new beginning and effort at reconcilliation.

Khan Open to Dovanian Investigation of Bianjie as He Announces Labor Union Reform

Image
The Khan announces reforms

In a surprising move, and after many delays, Khan Dorgon Alin officially endorsed labor union reforms for Bianjie. The landmark move, widely believed to not be possible, has astounded Bianjie's society.

The reforms, officially proposed when the Khan came into power, had undergone a series of delays, or as Gemun called them "reviews", to ensure their viability for the nation. What this really meant was convincing - or strong arming - clan chiefs into accepting the reforms. It appears as if the government was successful, although the promises made by Gemun to obtain acceptance are obscure.

Unsurprisingly, the labor union reforms were primarily backed by the Metzists, who supported the Khan's Red Banner Army as it marched on Gemun, thinking it was an army of well-armed proletariat. The Khan must still need Metzist support for his rule, hence the reforms passing.

In total, the labor union reforms are very modest. Workers are allowed to establish "grass-roots" organizations at the local level to engage in "collective consultations" with employers. No side is bound to accept the proposals of the other and labor unions are still formally banned. Limited strikes are allowable, but the government may intervene if the national interest is at stake.

At a press conference announcing the reforms, Khan Dorgon Alin said, "these grass-roots organizations will create a fairer and more equal Bianjie society." Asked about Ostland's proposal to lead an investigation into past alleged crimes against humanity, the Khan indicated his support. "After many years and in over a term, the World Congress has still not conducted its investigation. Bianjie is happy to comply. However, Ostland's proposal to begin one immediately is intriguing. We would fully support such a mission, especially if it were to help us get to the bottom of the issue sooner. The world is watching!"
