Dalibor Elections give EPP Supermajority:

Dalibor National News:

Official results are in from the 2 April elections, and the Economic Prosperity Party(EPP) has gained a massive 45 seats in the 100 seat chamber, adding on to it's 25 seat minority.

PM Tsai Ing-wen of the EPP had made the campaign about rebuilding, growth, and prosperity for all of Dalibor's people, since the country never fully recovered from the Financial crisis of 4202. It had become a major campaign point that he had been in talks with the Hyperion Corporation, seeking a partner for immediate assistance after the election.

Hyperion Invests in Dalibor:

The Hyperion Corporation has announced a massive investment into the Commonwealth of Dalibor. The investment, which is to range from building bridges to training police officers to injecting much needed capital into the markets, is designed to kickstart an economy that has been relatively stagnant for decades.

The financial ministry stated that this investment is to be funded by Dalibor, which will hand over mineral, or, and petroleum rights, wherever applicable, as well as large payments for the materials necessary. PM Tsai Ing-wen has stated that Dalibor shall not default on it's payments, no matter the cost.

Several economists and activists have questioned the deal, stating that Dalibor cannot possibly pay for the entirety of it, as well as expressing concern over a provision in the contract, which states:
"In the event that The recipient nation cannot adequate payments for three months, the nation has been deemed "defaulted" on it's payments. In this situation, the Hyperion Corporation is given the express right to take any action necessary to meet payment for the remainder of the contract."

Streets Clean, Safe as Hyperion Helps Justice

Dalibor National News:

The streets are cleaner than they were a month ago. Once piles of trash littered the streets and pathways if Dalibor's cities and towns, now they are pristine. One month ago there were 25 murders on the streets of Dalibor City, This month there have been two.

This remarkable, rapid transformation has been attributed to the Hyperion Corporation's rapid mobilization in Dalibor, one which has been to quickly recruit able men and women to clean the street, as well as to quickly instill law onto the nation.

Finance Minister Jung wu-che has announced that they have made the first months payment in advance, hoping to build trust between Hyperion and Dalibor.

Opposition party leader Bai Ru decries "evils" of newfound prosperity, draws small crowd

Bai Ru, leader of the small opposition Worker's Party of Dalibor, led a rally near Gangzhou where he proclaimed the government's recent deal with the international Hyperion Corporation an "evil whose cost shall be borne by all Daliborians." The gathering of roughly three hundred Worker's Party supporters was carefully observed by Daliborian and Hyperion security forces. A spokesman for the government stated that the rally was properly authorized and vital to the functioning of a free state.

Bai, who's party is strongly opposed to the hyper-laissez faire conditions of the Hyperion contract, noted that the stipulations of that agreement had already meant that Hyperion wrought deep profits from the natural resources of the island, and might further mean the bankruptcy of the nation entirely, should the steep payments required prove too costly. Articles in this publication and others which praised the benefits of the Hyperion contract and approvingly noted strong favorability polling for the Prime Minister and the government were "dangerous, misleading, and short sighted" according to Bai. Though unemployment has dropped, he stated, a month was not long enough to highlight a trend, and the price of goods and the average wage had remained steady in the same time.

When the rally ended, Bai and his followers marched from the capitol past the Finance Ministry and the nearby local Hyperion Corporation headquarters, but did not cause damage. The government praised the police and Hyperion forces for ensuring orderly protest was encouraged.
Just a bunch of shit.

Economy Up, Crime Down, Streets Fixed, Approval Up

Excerpt from PM Tsai Ing-wen speech to the people of Dalibor, May 4284:
Eight. That is an important number for us. For eight years the financial crisis loomed over us, and for nearly eight decades, our economy has failed the people. Our unemployment was eight percent. We had given eight different parties control over our nation, and each failed. However, the reign of failed economics is over. Now,
the Titan of the Corporate world, The Hyperion Corporation, is here. Together, Dalibor will be washed anew!

Hyperion announces joint effort with national construction companies, promises to fix the streets:
Late last month, may 4284, the Hyperion Corporation announced a joint effort with several large construction companies to repair the many damaged roads and bridges across Dalibor. The effect has been felt already as many unemployed have been drawn into the companies to undertake the large effort.

Opposition Rails Against Numbers, Bai Ru Outlines Rural Strategy
Bai Ru, leader of the main opposition party, Worker's Party of Dalibor, led a rally in the small norther town of Xie He earlier today, railing against the recently published economic numbers.
These numbers are a farce! They do not show the real struggles that are still lurking beneath the surface, the real pain still being felt. These *Holds up papers signifying the economic papers* these construction companies are short lived.
they will fail. And unless Dalibor City takes up action quickly, then Dalibor will suffer!!

The rally gathered a small crowd.

Bai Ru Outlines Plan for Rural Wins
During a rally in the small town of Xie He, Bai Ru outlined his plan to retake Parliament: a "Rural Runaway," as he referred to it as. His plan consists of working hard to convince the rural population to both vote, and vote WPD. It is unclear how he plans to retake parliament due to nearly 80% of the population lives in urban areas, and almost 90% of the rural vote went for the EPP.

BREAKING NEWS: DALIBOR DEFAULTS

Dalibor National News:
December 14, 4284
The Finance Minister, Jung wu-che, said in a closed door cabinet meeting earlier today that the national Bank of Dalibor does not have enough money to continue to make payments on it's contract to the Hyperion Corporation. The audiotape, received by DNN, is transcribed below.
Jung wu-che: I'm going to be frank here. We don't have the money.

(Presumably PM Tsai Ing-wen): [expletive].

(Unknown): how long can we keep it up?

Jung: a month at Max unless you think we can just not pay the army.

(Inaudible, talking over each other)

PM: [expletive]. We're just [expletive]. What can we pull from? Anything?

Interior Minister Wu Li: Like that? Sixty percent of the [expletive] budget goes to paying our debts as it is.
I don't think we want another Financial crisis.

Jung: Well we have an angry mega Corporation breathing down our [expletive] and we need to pay them.

(Inaudible, talking over each other)

PM: gentleman! Please. Did we give them the rights to all our [expletive] ores?

Jung: only until they leave.

Li: then let's sell it to them.

Jung: that won't be enough. We're a [expletive] rock, Wu. It's not like we're sitting on a dinosaur burial ground here.

PM: [multiple repeated expletives]
