The Ntoto Witness is a daily, independent newspaper in the Democratic Republic of Ntoto. It also operates online and mobile versions of its content.
Good Afternoon.
As the highest ranking officer of the division of our government tasked with defending our people from external threats, it is my duty to inform you that Ntotoese troops have been engaging with Northern Council troops along the border with Talmoria. We had been expecting this invasion for some time, and were thus able to put together a strong defense line that we have begun calling the Mbourda line, names after the rainforest where most of their fighting has taken place. I urge the citizens of this country to stay calm, as we have contained the first wave and have a strong defense infrastructure that we can fall back on after the Northern Council can shift away from Statrica. I am now open for questions.
this move was made for the safety myself, Deputy Prime Ministers Leo Seabrook and Marilyn Hart, along with Speaker of Parliament Geoff Oliver, Army Chief Michael Stanton, and Navy Chief Todd Weaver. We are in a safe location and have complete control over our armed forces.
Ntoto was forced into this alliance by Medina and Xsampsa, and as deputy Prime Ministers of Ntoto, we can agree that we want out. The DU has been a disaster, and a cover for the imperialistic pursuits of Medina and Xsampsa that they claim are to counter imperialism from the Northern Council. It’s time for us to recognize the DU for what it is: a hypocritical organization dedicated to stopping an activity that it’s own founders partake in. That being said, we will continue to cooperate with their forces as long as it is feasible for our nation’s well being. After this bloody war is over, we will jointly call upon the Prime Minister to call a referendum to exit us from this union.
