President of the Republic and Leader of the Labour Party of Kalistan, Sophia Conti responds to the discussion thus far:

Thank you to those who have contributed to this debate so far, and to those who have facilitated and stimulated it- in particular my good friend Mr Machado. However, while for us, as politicians, diplomats and religious leaders, this is a battle of ideas and of principles, that same luxury is not extended to those who are at the heart of this discussion. For slaves, those who have had their most precious human right- the right to be free- monstrously stolen away from them, the words we speak and the actions we take in accordance with that speech have repercussions which many of us cannot even begin to comprehend. I most certainly include myself in that group.

Therefore, we must not allow ourselves to become bogged down in petty squabbles over religious doctrine. Robust action is required and it is required immediately. Mr. Verdonk, who is in my assessment nothing less than a weasel of a man, is not here because he legitimately believes he can convince us that his nation is acting in a moral way, nor does he even believe the rhetoric he espouses himself. Instead, he is here is a distraction so that we might focus our anger on him and not act against his government for their disgusting behaviour. We must not let him be successful.

Over the next six to eighteen months, on top of the action taken by the Security Council, I will seek to introduce a number of bills aimed at targeting the Ameliorate Historical Union government and aiding those who suffer under their regime. The first of these will be a complete trade embargo of Saridan, until such a time as slavery is outlawed, and the same will happen to any nation (like Deltaria) which permits slavery within its borders. Next, Kalistan shall send a fleet of ships to the Saridanese coast in order to collect enslaved persons who wish to leave their nation. Initially, we will contact the Council of Elders and ask that they permit this course of action but, let it be clear, a negative response will not mark the end of this.

Nations of Terra, it is our duty to protect the weak in our world and I call on all good and just nations to fulfil this duty. Support Kalistan and support freedom.

Giovanni Paolo Fulgi, Ambassador of the Istalian Republic to the World Congress:

Reverend, I tell you I will not spend too many more words with you, and I would apologize to the Assembly if this would seem a sign of laxity and lack of respect for this institution.

Revered, you are so proud of not being "oppressed" by your minimal state? Well, I say you personally I am very proud to contribute and participate in the public expenses, very proud especially knowing these expenses go to finance extensive social programs that allow to my nation to prosper even without the endless masses of slaves.
For the rest, the video which you shown us is nothing but another parapet behind which you can hide these practice.

Before concluding I tell you that I'm not a church man, but I know God create us, all his sons, all equal and in his image, and these are the most foundamental teaching of the greatest religions of Terra and I say you that men which lost the mercy for his own brothers I think it's because they have been abandoned by God himself.

There will be no replies to the Saridan delegate's messages, in fact istalian delegation will shortly be fully engaged in the works for the Resolution against slavery.

Thank you

Remington Palmer, Hawu Ambassador to the World Congress, addresses the General Assembly.

Colleagues, I wish only to congratulate the Kalistan government on its principled action regarding this matter and inform member nations that President Conti will enjoy the resolute and abiding support of Hawu Mumenhes and the full force of the Hawu military in this area. President Conti should know that she will likely receive a favorable hearing from the Coburan and Talmorian governments regarding this matter as well. I say to those all those held in bondage: the time of criminals like Geert Verdonk is short, and the tidings of liberty will not wait. Your friends and brothers in Hawu Mumenhes and across Terra will not fail you in your quests for justice.

Ameliorate Historical Union floor leader Rev. Geert Verdonk addresses the General Assembly

Our Council of Elders has commanded me to announce to the General Assembly that Saridan will not recognise any resolution passed by the illegitimate Security Council as binding on its actions or domestic laws in any sense. The idea that the only righteous nation on Terra can be bound by the foolish declarations of pagan darkies, drugged out hippies, Hutorian bankers, radical Istalian anti-theists and our traitorous kin in Vanuku is laughable. We will resist this colonial venture by any means possible! We refuse to be led into the sin of contradicting the provision of holy writ!
To live outside the law, you must be honest.

Remington Palmer, Hawu Ambassador to the World Congress, addresses the General Assembly.

Mr. General Secretary, I would ask that Verdonk please be banned from the beverage bar in the Ambassadors Lounge for the time being. He is clearly inebriated. He needs water and a nap. If you don't give it to him, several Hawu construction companies have already contacted me regarding their keen interest in building him a nice (and permanent) resting place at a maximum security facility in Sint Pietereiland.

Katrine Lorenzen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Kazulia to the World Congress.

The General Assembly is not the place to debate who is more righteous than whom, nor is it the place to throw religious "shade". Matter of that caliber should be left for Holy Hosian Patriarchal Churches Council and all other respective religious councils. The General Assembly is the arm of the World Congress that should be championing the causes of peace, cooperation and humanitarianism. I do not intend on getting into the details of this matter, but I can assure you, a slave revolt it to be expected. I call for an intervention by the General Secretary.

On a separate note, we would like to turn the General Assemblies attention to the Pontesi-Beiteynu Border where it is being confirmed by both Kazulian Intelligence and Media that some 30,000 Yeudish troops crossed the Pontesian border with the supposed aim of "protecting important infrastructure along the border until a new government is installed in Pontesi which can end the anarchy in Pontesi". The Kingdom of Kazulia sees this as a total disregard of a internationally defined border and the sovereignty of Pontesi. The acts committed by the Yeudish government is of unprecedented proportions. Kazulian Intelligence has confirmed past speculations of executions and tortute of Pontesian citizens and minorities. War crimes is such a lilliputian term for the atrocities committed by the Yeudish state, as reports of cross border clashes still continue as the soldiers of the Yeudish Army rounded up minorities and even pontesian citizens and "arrested" them. The Yeudish Armed Forces has conducted an illegal bombing campaign in pontesi under the guise of hunting down a "terrorist" organization known as the National Minority League (which is the adverse effect of Yeudish assimilation of minority groups).

I call for this motion to be move to the Security Council, for i believe that the situation will become dire as the cross-border activities which the Yeudish state is committing will not cease unless action is taken. I have been told by our Minister of Defence, that Kazulia will be willing to engage in armed conflict with Beiteynu if they do not withdraw all troops from Pontesi, after a hopeful World Congress Resolution is passed, as Pontesi, being a dare ally of Kazulia, is one of the few nations Kazulia will engage in armed conflict for.

Representatives, I hope that I have shed some light on the atrocities, being ignored by the international community for many years now. I hope that stern and swift action is taken against the Yeudish state in response to their actions.

Remington Palmer, Hawu Ambassador to the World Congress, addresses the General Assembly.

Colleagues, I'd like to thank the Kazulian ambassador for raising the matter of the atrocities being carried out by the rogue government in Beiteynu. The situation there has gotten worse and worse since the Conservative Yeudish Party returned to power. Hawu Mumenhes has been planning for some months to bring forward a Security Council Resolution regarding the situation in Beiteynu. Ambassador Lorenzen, you have my commitment that the Security Council will take up this matter. Please make known here or in my office (ooc: PM me if you want) any specific provisions or language you would like included in the Resolution when it is brought forward.

Istalian Ambassador Giovanni Paolo Fulgi:

The Kazulian Government contacted our Government to informe us of the situation in Pontesi. As Majatran Delegate of the Security Council, Istalia want take immediatly a central role to counter this crisis.
Istalian proposal is the formation of a diplomati mission to send in Beiteynu to invite its Government to stop this violation of the Pontesi sovereignty.
Istalia don't think that is task of Beiteynu to intervene in Pontesi because the currently political problem in the neighbor country.
Istalia want comunicate to the north majatran nation that we will not be watching the progress of the operations and the perpetuation of atrocities for which the Beiteynu forces have been already accused.

Baron Igor Sokolovskiy, the Trigunian Ambassador to the World Congress addresses the General Assembly:
I, like the Hawu Ambassador, and my government, applaud the firm and righteous plans of the Kalistani government to move ships to the Saridanese coast. We, like we did several decades ago to support Kalistan in the long gone Kalistani-Baltusian border-crisis, will move our ships to the Saridanese coast as well. The Security Council may protest, but our government is decisive. We have made this decision and we will perform that decision, whatever the costs, for we, as the World Congress, must work together to destroy the unholy practice of slavery. We are currently in peace negotiations with Deltaria after their treacherous aggression, in which the war for the Deltarians went unbelievably badly, and as soon as the negotiations will end, our ships will move to the Saridanese coast. The "Hosian" Reverend Verdonk may be in shock, but we will be willing to destroy their government and install a puppet nation in Saridan, and openly announce this in front of the World Congress, than to let men, women and children remain unfree. Regarding the unlawful violation of Pontesian sovereignty by Beiteynu, we fully and utterly condemn these actions. We believe that Pontesi can sort their own problems out, for eventually, anarchy returns to order. Thank you.

Andros Hunyadi, ambassador to the World Congress for the Confederation of New Endralon, Kizenia and Kuzaki adresses the General Assembly:

me and my government oppose the move of the Security Council and condemn warmongering Trigunian government. This is the very reason why we voted for our Hutorian allies and not for Trigunia.

We hope that a peacefull solution is sought as suggested by the Vanukuan delegation. It is important that we open dialog and use diplomatic means such as embargos, warnings and condemning. If we use might we are creating an awefull presedent.

Thirdly we ask the World Congress to join me and my government in asking the security council to condemn Kalistan and their purpesfully export of illegal substances, drugs, to nations where it is illegal. Countless of our citizens and children are enslaved to that damned devilish substance. We want Kalistan to stop exporting drugs all together and hope many nations join our war on drugs.
