General Assembly Session III (4144-4159)

Otto Vanderijk Blick, Chief Baltusian Ambassador to the General Assembly:

Mr Jadoul,

We do not want war! There must be another way to resolve this.

Have you evidence regarding the talks with Solentia, can you confirm this to this Assembly?

In terms of the 2nd Anti-Istalia Bill it may not pass yet - let us hope that is the case; we must keep an eye on it:
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=503442

In terms of sanctions and your appeal to the security council, let me say this: Baltusia will be elected to that council imminently, I will speak to our Foreign Secretary and our President and look to provide a true and robust multi-national solution to this crisis. But I must ask you again to steer clear of this prelude to war narrative. Please!

Jonathan Jadoul, foreign minister of potensi.
I have misred the bill, but they are going to ask solentia to cut all ties as you can read inhere: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=503443. I know you don't war, neither do we. Does this mean we let Saridan do what they want ,because we are scared of war. Diplomatie goes as far as the other party wants it to go. Potensi wilk wait untill istalia respond, they are for us the one with the most right to decide what to do.

Otto Vanderijk Blick, Chief Baltusian Ambassador to the General Assembly:

Thank you for this extra information, Mr Jadoul. I shall now ask my compatriot, Sally Smith, to speak directly to our President and we will look to work with Istalia and the other Security Council Members to ensure an appropriate resolution which will gain multi-national approval.

Believe me, we also have close ties with Istalia - both militarily and economically. Have no doubt we are not standing idly by and I am not an appeaser who gives into bullies; nor am I scared of war - not in the sense you mean - but I would like to resolve this with the least bloodshed possible.

Not that long ago our own country was ravaged by war. It started over an issue that could have been resolved diplomatically but hawks on both side of the argument escalated things too quickly and by the end 100s of thousands of people had died and our economy was left shattered. That is why I want to avoid war.

I heard talks about Saridan talking to solentia asking them to cut all ties with Istalia and close their border. Solentia is a country in Majatra and we gope they will deny this request of Saridan. I also heard they are having a second anti istalian pact, where they will undemocratical arrest any one supporting or sympathize with istalia or has ties with Istalia, also they will arrest any istalian who wants to come in. This is outragous and we wil not accept this. This is an undirectely declaration of war towards istalia. I speak now to Istalia, do not hesitate, we will support you all the way, even true war.to the general assembly and to the chisen nations for the security council, it is best you come fast with a diplomatical solution to punish saridan, before they capture other innocent lives. Potensi will also start with campaigning for sanctions against Saridan.

You forget that 45 Saridani citizens were killed by Istalian commandos in an act of war! Saridan has done nothing to show that we want war!

Detaining 410 innocent citizens of another nation is normal? The 45 man that were killed weren't innocent and it was their job, being a soldier is that the risk. You are hyppocrit by saying that what istalia did is an act of war.

Laurens Bartholomeus, Saridani Ambassador to the General Assembly:

We never harmed or hurt those citizens in any way. They were interned and sentenced to forced labor in a camp where conditions were excellent. They were well fed and cared for. The 45 men killed were not soldiers, they were members of the paramilitary Brownshirts who were guarding the Istalian citizens from acts of retaliation from Saridani citizens who might wish for harm to come down on them.

Only a short while ago, we were in the midst of tense negotiations with the General Assembly. Now, 45 Saridani citizens lay dead. Is this the definition of diplomacy and reason?

Jakanian ambassador gets up and say:
you should keep it diplomatic, we don't want war, yes everyone knows that 45 sardini people dead, that what sardini ambassdor said, but there are some facts we should look at. First, if the sardini let all the istalians go, nobody would get killed, all what istallia did, is embrago and cut of relatoins, and I can say, it's not so bad thing to sirdinia, however, you should admit that sardinia reacted wrongly, they should cut the relatoin or make embrago, it would be more reasonable

You really dare to say that you were right and Istalia is wrong? Wow

stops for a minute and laughs sarcasticly
paramilitaries for me are soldiers. If you gad released them or just sended back to Istalia instead of detaining them, those 45 brownshirts would have been still alive and this pointless discussion wouldn't been necessary!

goes back to his place a little bit annoyed and angry

Laurens Bartholomeus, Saridani Ambassador to the General Assembly:

We were prepared to let the Istalians go, but Istalia had to jump the gun and cause a global crisis. Perhaps we were to drastic in seizing 410 Istalian citizens, but the fact remains is that not a single Istalian citizen died. 45 Saridani citizens died. See the difference?
