Kata Horvat, Leader of the Socialist Forces in Statrica and Commander in the Socialist-Populist-Tribal Alliance, via video link:

I thank you both for your concerns and interest. I also appreciate your positions to support a ceasefire, and / or a diplomatic, peaceful solution.

We too wish for a peaceful solution. But the Alliance cannot rest until the fascists are deposed. And we cannot support a ceasefire until we can be sure it is not a Monarchist ploy.

You must also understand that the Statrican people are stubborn people, and shall likely not settle for peace without the conditions of victory: that Perica is deposed, democracy restored, equality restored, a new Constitution be put in place, and the Monarchists removed from the public sphere.

In addition, there are still issues we have not resolved with regards to how we shall proceed once the war is concluded. Should we gain power and defeat the Monarchists, there still remains tensions between ourselves and the Roznan peoples, disagreements on whether to reinstate Populist laws, to ban the Monarchists or not... Negotiations will not be easy. On the international scale, our relationship with Dorvik may be forever charred should these rumours of the leading party HA’s support for Perica emerge as truth.

We once again ask the World Congress and Security Council to grant full support of the Alliance, placing embargoes on Monarchist Statrica, underlining Perica’s regime, and, if possible or necessary, to provide direct support to the Allianxe. With New Englia providing support for the Monarchists, who already have the adcantage of national funds, our people’s armies are finding war tough to wage. Still, we appreciate your positions and welcome all attempts to assist.

I completely understand your wish to contact the Monarchist government. I await further questions and response anxiously.

Thank you again.

OOC: My sincere apologies, I seem to have failed to notice that Pragma left Dorvik. As a result the possibility of intervention she mentioned probably doesn’t exist, unless the current government wishes to do so. Ignore all references to that then I suppose! Sorry whoops haha. My bad.

Deĵano Cezarido, Coburan Ambassador to the World Congress:

The Coburan delegation shares the same point of view as Istalia and wants to await the monarchists' reaction first, after which we will decide what other steps to take. However, I would like to state the due to the undemocratic overthrow of the Statrican government, Cobura does not recognise mr. Perica as the Head of State/Government of Statrica.

King Edvard Perica of Monarchist Statrica

I must say, one can see why you may be opposed to me after this slanderous communist rebel and traitor has worked her magic upon you with the pack of lies she dares call a ‘dossier’. But let us not be drawn in by the words of this criminal and revolutionary: her words are naught but lies and slander, propaganda and mistruth. Do you trust their word over the word of the elected government?

We have been in power since I received a majority vote. When I dared to step into my role as President, as the People wanted — as I would have done peacefully if not for the hideous laws introduced by the Populists — they declared war upon me, discontented by my success.

She repeatedly refers to me as a “self-declared” King. Why, then, did the Assembly let through the Constitution without quarrel?

I have been repeatedly supported by the people of Statrica. I am the democratically declared King! Kata Horvat is nothing but a rebel, a troublemaker and a tyrant in waiting. She wishes to force her communist government upon the people of Statrica, and when I called for the Provinces to support the National Government in shutting down an illegal, armed secessionist movement — that, she thought, was her chance, to paint me as a villain and secure success! See how she begs for World Congress support, turning the world against me! Surely this is proof of her manipulative ways.

I do regret having to take such dire actions in Statrica to secure peace. Despite being democratically supported, our most restrictive civil policies will be lifted when peace is secured. I do regret having to secure my democratically elected post by force, but I had no choice! The country was dividing while we wavered in chaos. Desperate times, my friends, call for desperate measures, and I feel all I have done is fully justified.

I will be happy to answer any questions.

Simonetta Chiossi, Istalian Ambassador

Mr Perica,
you "had to secure your democratically elected post by force"? By the force? There are constitutional provisions in your country which authorize someone to secure its office with the force? I never saw a democracy where someone is authorized to led military coup, to use the armed forces to conquest the power.
Someone here can explain to us how worked the Republic before of the military coup? The elected-President had to form a Government before to be fully take office?
And, we would ask you Mr Perica if at least you try to dialogue with the seccessionist.
If the republican constitution priovided that the President had to form a Government before to be fully installed, well... it seems you infringed any laws of Statrica as well as the Rozna Government.

But, above all, if your intention was to defend the unity of the Country, did you really need of a Constitution (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7274&start=10#p127476) which has nothing of democratic? A constitution which establishes an absolute monarchy due the unacceptable extension of the royal power and the political life reserved for the supporters of "his Majesty"?
And... why did you mention the fact that an assembly formed by only your supporters approved your Constitution like if it was the veritable will of the people?
Mr Perica, half of the state of your country and their democratically elected leadership are fighting you! How you dare to come here, toward some of the most democratic governments of Terra declaring such a thing and presenting yourself as the "will of the people"? Doesn't matter of your "56%" of popular support Mr Perica if there are clear laws about the accession to the Presidential offices, and, above all, doesn't matter your majority vote Mr Perica, because a Democracy is not a "dictature of the majority", but it is "first of all" the protection of the minorities. This is not my personal opinion, this is century if not millennia of accademic definition of one of the most important charateristic of the democracy. Democracy which doesn't exist any more in Statrica.
Just for this reason this organization I think cannot and will never support the position of what seems in effect a self-declared King.

Mr Perica... at least the Government of Rozna organized a popular consultation, although legally illegal. They didn't organized a military coup to ban any form of opposition and establish a personal regime.
Your new Constitution itself is the evidence of your veritable goals, a personal and absolute dominion on all the lands of Statrica.

Ms Kata presented to this assembly a professional and detailed dossier Mr Perica, on the web we can found a lot of testimoniancies or videos about what is happen in Statrica and the strict police state enforced by your new regime.
What did you do here? A part to launch allegations against your political opponent and present to us such "evidence" of the claimed by you "will of the people"?

This delegation and its Government has heard enough, Istalia cannot support any demand by part of Mr Perica or by part of his Party, which officially will be considered since now as illegitime and we consider them as main responsable of all this conflict.
And a part your mention about some "restriction of the civil liberties", we didn't see you try to defend your regime from the allegations on war crimes. If they will be confirmed, this will declared you and your colaborators as war criminals.
We will not make another mistake, like with the Hulstrian suprematists, in offering a table for the negotiations. The only negotiations that we could support would be one between the leadership of Rozna and a democratically established central Government of Statrica which took the office through legal means.
Due to our efforts to find diplomatic solutions during the Hulstrian conflict, the Suprematist Government profited of the time conceeded just to perpetuate even more crimes and solidify its power. As said, Istalia is not willing to do the same error when the situation is already clear.

Istalia is ready to present a Resolution to condemn Mr Perica and not to recognize his regime, his constitution, his party and his action toward the international stage, and to enact sactions against you and your forces and to fully recognize the banned and persecuted political opposant of you.

King Edvard Perica of Monarchist Statrica

This violent language discontents me.

Let me explain.

The Populists had forced through monumental changes which left us unable to form a government, despite me gaining more than half of the vote in the Presidential election. Despite months of negotiations, Oliver Gregurkek was left potentially in perpetuity running this country.

Then Rozna pushes illegally for independence.

Gregurek does nothing.

What was I to do? I had no choice but to take the post entrusted to me by the people. I HAD to do so by force, or we would have no government even now, dividing ourselves into smaller states with illegal votes.

Sometimes, grave and difficult decisions must be made. I did what I did for the greater good.

Kata Horvat saw this as an opportunity. She saw a chance to force through her communist regime. So when I requested the Provinces support in attacking an armed rebellion, the Alliance declared war. They called me a tyrant, a villain! Me!

Now, in the face of this war, we have had no choice but to impose great restrictions to secure peace against these anarchist attackers! Had I not, we would now be facing an unwanted Communist government, formed of traitors and rebels!

I fail to see why you dare not even consider my point of view. What would you have done? Let Statrica crumble? Friends, I love my country too much to do so. The fact the people feel I should be elected King is irrelevant — nay, a sign of their support! I am leading this nation with strength and success. Horvat is turning the world against her own country without good reason, out of pure lust for power! The difference is clear. I am the true leader of Statrica; she is but a rebel.

I warn you, diplomatic attacks on Statrica from any side will not be forgotten. The Statrican people will remember. The people will resist. The people will not fall to the whims of an external government with nothing better to do than topple a democratically elected leader and support radical socialism. I can say that with absolute conviction.

I ask you, then, to reconsider. Remain neutral. This conflict does not involve you. Horvat is manipulating you. I am the true leader of Statrica, and the God-given King. I will not fall. Statrica will not fall.

Thank you. If there is nothing more, I fear daggers in the air. Forgive me for suspecting such a spiteful gang of enemies.

Farewell, former friends. Let us not fall further into agony, and death, or we shall all regret it.

Laighneach Mac Connmhaigh, General Secretary of the Onglian Civil Rights Association (OCRA) in New Englia:

Assembled delegates,

As most of you are aware, my country has a troubled and tragic history in which my people, the Onglians (OOC: Mainly Kilanis/Irish) have endured exploitation, oppression and discrimination. This abysmal situation persists to this day. We are effectively denied the right to vote, and in every area of our lives we experience disadvantage.

The judiciary is biased and dominated by the Inglian (OOC: Mainly Kirlawan/English) elite. The police are also Inglian-dominated, and their record of dealing with our community is appalling, as can be seen from the recent events of Bloody Tuesday, where 19 Onglians lost their lives and 182 were injured.

As well as oppressing its own people, the government of New Englia also has a history of favouring oppressive regimes abroad, as we saw with their support for Edvard Perica's unsavoury dictatorship in Statrica.

On behalf of OCRA, I call on the international community to put maximum pressure on New Englia to reform its ways and grant full civil rights to Onglians. Unfortunately, we are dealing here with a neo-colonialist elite who are determined to hold on to their own power, and who will not concede an inch unless they are seriously compelled to do so.

The Yeudish Republic of Beiteynu in light of recent events that have transpired in New Englia hereby voices it's utmost condemnation of those policies which have at present rendered asunder any goodwill that may have existed prior to said incident between the two communities and their government. we therefore call upon the civilised nations gathered in this assembly to establish a committee in order to investigate and observe tensions in the area. in the mean time however Beiteynu shall sever diplomatic ties with New Englia until tensions die down and equal rights guaranteed by the New Englian government.

Cornelius Coggeshall, New Englian Ambassador to the World Congress:

Assembled delegates,

I urge you all not to be taken in by the attention-seeking misrepresentations being promoted by the bog-dwelling, turnip-munching, lager-swilling, yellow-toothed, foul-breathed, chicken-rustling, semi-literate, jumped-up loudmouth peasant-in-a-suit from the so-called Onglian Civil Rights Association. We in New Englia are all too familiar with this gentleman and his organisation and see right through what they are doing.

We are also aware, as some here are not, that the so-called Onglian Civil Rights Association is a front organisation for the illegal terrorist group, the Onglian Liberation Army, which seeks the complete destruction of our society. Unfortunately, although perhaps understandably, foreign observers are not always able to see through the deceptions so easily, and this can cause a great deal of misunderstanding. Istalia and Beiteynu have already been duped and are over-reacting. We regard both of these nations as our friends, and hope they will listen to reason and reconsider their proposed courses of action.

When Laighneach Mac Connmhaigh - or however it is you pronounce his uncouth and unpronounceable name - comes to this august chamber and relays his tall tales of supposed Onglian victimhood, he leaves out almost the entirety of the context behind the situation he is describing.

The context, as many of my learned and civilised friends here will understand, is that when the territory now known as New Englia was first colonised in the 2340s, the people who lived here - the Onglians - were the most primitive and barbaric people on the face of Terra, and in fact probably the most primitive and barbaric people who ever existed. They were so backward they had hardly any mastery of agriculture, which meant starvation was rampant. Worse, their savage natures, fuelled by their passion for strong alcohol, meant tribal wars were never-ending. They were not content just with killing each other; they were torturing and then killing each other as well, believing the screams of agony and the sacrifice of human life would appease their pagan gods and bring them better fortune. In the winter months, they traditionally ate someone for dinner - usually a child. The institution of marriage was unknown to them. They just had sex all over the place with whoever they felt like whenever they felt like it. This was often in full public view, and even in front of young children.

If anybody here doubts the veracity of this, I can point them to the writings of the first Hosian missionaries and civilised settlers. We are talking here about historical fact. Liberal revisionists try to deny it and rewrite history, but the truth is the truth.

But my friends, here is the good news - the fantastic news! After 2000 years of Inglian tutelage, the Onglians have been raised to a much, much higher level of civilisation than they were at before. Their lives are no longer marred by starvation, tribal wars, cannibalism, human sacrifice and all of the bad old ways.

Our liberal opponents claim we hate our Onglians and do not care for them. But my friends, this is not true at all. We love our Onglians, and we love them more than anyone else here does. This is why we have tutored them and raised them above their former savage state and brought them to a stage of civilisational development which even a few centuries ago, nobody would have dreamed was possible.

We are proud of our Onglians, and we are right to be proud, because we have the happiest primitives, the happiest Onglians on the face of the planet. There is nowhere better to be an Onglian than New Englia, and if you talk to the ordinary Onglians in this country, they will tell you exactly the same thing as well. I am not talking here about gentlemen like Laig-whatsisname, the professional loudmouth troublemakers who are funded and controlled by communists and misguided wishy-washy liberals from abroad. I am talking about the real, ordrinary Onglians who go about their lives peacefully, meaningfully, productively and happily.

My friends, it is a myth to suggest that the Onglians are being somehow held back or persecuted in New Englia. Rather, what has happened is that we have developed an effective system of allowing the two peoples, the civilised and the primitives, the Inglians and the Onglians, to develop in their two separate ways. Separate development, my friends, is essential to allowing both the Inglians and the Onglians to reach their maximum potential, to enjoy the maximum amount of freedom and to live side-by-side with each other in harmony.

Without separate development, we would have chaos. If we handed over the levers of government to the Onglian majority, we would wipe out at a stroke two millennia of progress and achievement. It would be like evicting highly-trained professional engineers and scientists from a nuclear power station and then putting a class of 8 year old schoolgirls in charge.

Terra needs to understand, as both Inglians and Onglians in New Englia understand, that the key to our nation's success is our way of doing things. Our way of doing things may be distasteful to the ideological sensibilities of some of our friends overseas, but that does not mean either that it is wrong or that it is inhumane. Rather than misunderstanding and condemning us, the rest of the world - the civilised part of it at least - should be recognising, celebrating and learning from our achievements.

New Englia earnestly looks forward to the day when the whole of the Onglian people will rise to a level of civilisational development that matches that of the Inglians. When that day comes, there will be an equal sharing of political power. But we are a long way off yet. The Onglians have come far, but not far enough yet for that. It will probably take another 2000 years of development before they are ready to become our equals.

Let me emphasise also, by the way, that the franchise in New Englia is not restricted by race or religion. Every citizen has access to the franchise on equal terms. As soon as a citizen has reached a certain level of income, or reached a certain level of education, they become eligible to vote. At the moment, 5% of Onglians can vote. This is a significant achievement - fifty years ago it was 0.5%. In time, with the natural course of events, it will grow higher still.

In short, my friends, "equality" - to use that often misunderstood phrase - will come to New Englia, but if it is to develop in a meaningful way, it can only come in a way which is natural. Any attempt to forcibly impose so-called "equality" between Onglians and Inglians in this country would totally destroy the moral and social foundation upon which our entire society is built. Any informed and responsible person who truly understands and loves New Englia would shudder to contemplate what the consequences of that would be.
