Fuat Akinci, Jakanian Ambassador to the World Congress

With respect, talks would solve nothing so long as the Kalopian government remains intent on discriminating and mistreating the Turjak minority. An ironclad guarantee from the Kalopian government that all Turjaks born in Kalopia shall be recognised as full citizens and no more talk of mass expulsions and no more harassment of Turjak minority parties. It is sad that regional powers keep equalising our self-preservative actions with the genocidal and racial biased rhetoric spewed by several Kalopian politicians including their Foreign Minister.

In short, no to talks, yes to decent treatment of Kalopian minorities. Our troops shall remain on the border as is our sovereign right and we shall continue to monitor the situation in Kalopia and responf appropriately.

Acacia Savas, Foreign Minister of Kalopia

I don't think that the Jakanian Representative has got the memo. We are not discriminating against the Turjak minority in any way. We've announced a willingness to talk, and that offer will remain on the table until Jakania see sense. I hope that the rest of the World Congress can recognise it is Jakania refusing talks, and that they are the ones that are currently acting with aggression.

Kata Horvat, Leader of The Socialist Party and The Socialist Forces, Representative for the Socialist-Tribal-Populist Alliance in Statrica, via Video Link for Safety and Security

Greetings, friends and allies. I come to you today as a commander, a soldier, a warrior, a revolutionary and an oppressed citizen in my own country.

I did not want this role. I was a politician. But Statrica has fallen to chaos. Why? Because when the Province of Rozna voted — illegally — for independence, and our democratically elected, now assassinated, President Oliver Gregurek vowed to work with them for a peaceful solution and recognise democracy, the right-wing President-Elect Edvard Perica led a military coup, and gave himself major powers which verge on dictatorial powers. He has organised mass executions, oppressed the rights of the press, and declared war upon the remaining non-Monarchist majority provinces and forced us to take up arms against the government.

As more and more nations become caught up in this bloody conflict, we ask that the World Congress consider assisting the Socialist-Populist Alliance to defend democracy and peace. We will not lay down our arms until this horrendous government is overthrown.

Thank you for listening.

Acacia Savas, Kalopian Foreign Minister

I urge Representatives to see the results of the Kalopian Election. The voters overwhelmingly said that the Reform Party was the party for them. We gained the plurality in all five regions. However, the crucial thing is that the Homeland Party participated, and was involved in the elections. Is this discrimination against the Turjak minority? We think not.

Valora Malako, Governor-General of Cobura:

The Government of Cobura favors sober communication on all sides regarding the status of Turjak minorities in Kalopia. In the interest of preserving regional peace and preventing miscalculation, we urge all parties involved to abstain from military mobilization of any kind and pursue diplomacy. To facilitate a nonviolent resolution to this matter, we are willing to host a dialogue between representatives from Kalopia and Jakania provided both sides consider this appropriate. It is our position that the continued protection of Turjak rights and peace in Majatra should be regarded as top priorities for the World Congress that are not mutually exclusive.

We thank the Coburan Delegate for his words of wisdom. We can assure you that as soon as Jakania come to the table, we will significantly reduce military action back to pre-tension levels. However, until they have come and said that they will talk with us, they are unpredictable, and I hope the World Congress understands that we are naturally worried about a large foreign military presence at our border.

Fuat Akinci, Jakanian Ambassador to the World Congress

We are glad to see that minority parties were allowed to participate in the recent Kalopian election. The election of a President who once called for the execution of leaders of the Turjak minority is however very worrying. As a result, Jakania has been forced to increase her defensive arrangements along the border with Kalopia. Our current 5,000 strong border force will be increased to 7,500 men over the next two years. This may be halted or even reversed once the Reform government shows itself willing to treat minorities decently and provide the legal guarantees we have asked for namely that all Turjaks born in Kalopia shall be recognised as full citizens and no more talk of mass expulsions and no more harassment of Turjak minority parties.

---

As for the matter regarding Statrica, Jakania condemns the illegal declaration of independence and the human rights abuses committed in Rozna. We pledge ourselves to contributing monetarily and militarily to any peacekeeping force sent by the World Congress to restore order in Statrica.

Simonetta Chiossi, Istalian Ambassador

Istalia fully endorse Cobura in assuming a role of moderator and negotiator between the parties about the tensions between Kalopia and Jakania, offering however our full assistance.
Furthermore, we think that both parties should show signs of cooperation and we think that the respect by part of the Kalopians of the right of the Turjaks and their Party to contest the elections could be a first sign by part of Kalopia as well as its intention to significantly reduce the military operations and/or mibilizations, thus, we ask now to the Government of Jakania to put an end to the increase of the number of troops on the Kalopian borders and began to reduce significantly their presence.

We assure to the Jakanian Government that Istalia fully agree with their requests about legal guarantees for the full recognition of the citizenship for the Turjaks born in Kalopia.
In fact, this organization cannot but demand for these people what the Jakanian Government demands: protection from discrimination and right to live in peace where they were born. Of course, these people, these children didn't choose where to born. The Turjaks, probably in Kalopia for generations, should be treated like any other person born in Kalopia, free from the fear of deportations or hate speech against them.
We cannot but express our dismay for the statement made against the Turjaks by Kalopian politicians, but... we can condemn only the actions! Well... we really hope that President Minossa will realize their words about work with Jakania to reduce the tensions and to offer to Kalopia, using his own words, a government that focuses on everyone.

We cannot blame the fear of the new Government for what did the Junta organized by the Turjaks as well as we cannot but understand "some" fear after a forced turjakization (OOC: I hope I wrote it correctly :P) of Kalopia. But, we invite the new Government of Kalopia to avoid to assume measure whorty only for a military junta and, instead, to take the path of the tollerance and the mutual understanding.
Are the Turjaks really all immigrants? As said, there are elements that clearly proves that a Turjaks community lives in Kalopia for centuries if not millennia, so, we think that Kalopia's Government cannot ignore this fact focus itself on fueling the hatred generated by the past Turjaks action, led by some exaltated leaders which, if involved in the Junta, should face the justice for their actions. However, we think that you cannot condemn an entire ethnicity for the actions of some of them. Of course, we cannot force the Kalopian Government to adopt Turjaks as a Kalopian official language, but, we can demand the fully recognition of citizenship for these people and the fully extention of legal protection to them, not because they are simply the "poor persecuted and discriminated Turjaks", because they are people who deserve it!

The world, this organization, MAJATRA don't need of another forced movement of refugees! Majatra cannot assist once again to mass deportations or... worst... we cannot allow it!

And about this, on behalf of the Majatran Alliance, in full agreement with the Government of Zardugal which asked us to talk in name of the Alliance, we can assure to this organization and to all the involved parties that the Alliance will do EVERYTHING to avoid another conflict, another mass deportation, another refugees crisis.
If the tensions should not decrease, the Alliance is ready to offer its services to the World Congress to intervene, first of all to graant the safety of any person should be persecuted but as well as to defend the sovereignty of a nation if the only way of a third nation to have something would be the force of the arms.
We think that the collegue from Cobura and its Government will be ready to join any kind of operations to graant the maintainment of the peace in Majatra. We really hope that we won't need to reach to such a solutions, we will do our best to find a diplomatic and peacefull solution to this situation.

So, please, let organize a conference in Cobura, let talk around a table, as civilized people, do not fuel the hatred and the tensions. Let think to the people who could die into such a conflict!

Acacia Savas, Kalopian Foreign Minister

Honourable World Assembly. We hate to diverge on the current issue regarding Jakania, however it appears that yet another of our neighbours seems intent on attacking us. This time, it is Deltaria who are threatening war on the accusation that Kalopian Cabinet Ministers have been involved in the assassination of their late Czar, and his brother. They have not provided evidence for these allegations, which are 100% not true. We hope that the World Congress will monitor the situation as we divert attention further up our western border to Deltaria.

Simonetta Chiossi, Istalian Ambassador

It is really concerning to see how easily many nations are ready to use their armed forces to solve diplomatic and international issues. We should, once again, invite one of our allies to step back from precipitous decisions and ask for international assistance, first of all to avoid useless excalation of the tension.

So, we invite the delegation of Deltaria to bring here the evidences that pushed its Government to threat Kalopia, but, we would also invite Kalopia to show cooperation in case an investigation should be put in place. We understand what is worrying the Kalopian Government about an investigation led by the Deltarians, so, on behalf of the Majatran Alliance, we are ready to offer, as we proposed to the Government of Deltaria, the creation of an team of expertises from the rest of the Majatran Alliance to conduct the investigations. Of course, if the Government of Kalopia has nothing to hide, we think that this could be a good solution.
