SC R53: Procedure for proposing resolutions

Postby November » Fri Jan 19, 2018 6:28 pm

Resolution 53:

NOTING that the Security Council is in need of more inclusion;

STATING that other World Congress nations should, to a certain degree, have influence in Security Council.

SEARCHING for measures to relieve the Security Council from its interventionist and dictate prejudices:

THE SECURITY COUNCIL OF THE WORLD CONGRESS

1. Creates a so-called ''Advisory proposal rule'', in which World Congress nations can oblige the Security Council to seriously consider or at least debate a proposal if their proposal has the support of at least eight nations. This could be through a General Assembly vote, but also in the form of an international treaty.

Ali Azmera Melos, World Congress Representative for Cobura:

Cobura invites input from our esteemed colleagues on RP53. We believe this resolution will make the World Congress a more equitable body that ensures all nations have a voice on the Security Council.

Klavia would like to see more involvement in the security council from smaller nations such as Klavia. We agree with this protocol to allow Cobura into the Security Council
