From our confederation, we believe that general economic sanctions affect large portions of the population, if is not to the whole. It is an extreme measure that generates internal crises. People, in general, end up blaming the international community for this situation. This, in turn, aggravates the crisis to the extreme.

If this embargo, on the other hand, were focused on goods or services (or even a certain exclusion from international forums) necessary both for the government and for the slave-trading companies, a real pressure would be achieved.

Samanta Endraloni, Istalian Ambassador

Istalia vote AYE to Resolution 74. But we would ask to the ambassador of NEKK what other form of pression other nations and this body could exercise on a government which clearly stated that it will not accept any words interfering with its political goals. It is clear that anyform of interference or pression will be ignored.

However, Istalia tendentially agrees on the fact that maybe we could add a little specification to the resolution to determine what kind of goods and services will be affected by the resolution. We are open to grant the continuation of the trade of essential goods and medicaments, affecting financial sector, heavy and consumer goods industry, etc... all sector that could give resources to the government and those involved in the slavery and slavery trade.

Thank you

OOC: I don't know however if Istalia can still vote or can remain into the SC.

Asbjørn Nedergaard, Kazulian Permanent Representative to the World Congress
Kazulia ABSTRAINS from voting as this resolution offers little information on the scale of economic sanctions which were demanded in the resolution's wording nor does it instruct as to where said sanctions should be imposed.

"The Dorvish Republic is generally in agreement that we can specify what should be targeted including the financial trade sector, trade in specific resources that come out of Dundorf and targeting any and all defense-related trade. We'll add those certain provisions and go from there."

OOC: Yes Axxell, it is likely that elections for the Security Council will be held over a month until January, 2019 as we look to rectify the situation with the votes and issues with the votes.
