"Members of the Security Council, it has come to the attention of the World Congress that al-Badara and the political leadership in the country has threatened to invade Kafuristan to "liberate" the holy city of Ahmadism, Helem. We believe that this is a matter for the Security Council to discuss. They have been oddly joined by Endralon, Beitenyu and Aldegar. We believe that this might be the flash point for a potential crisis, albeit one that is a little...unorthodox. This is their "ultimatum".

The Security Council would also like to discuss that Kanjor has re-instituted slavery according to numerous reports through news media and other reports."

Alejandra Huitzal, Lourennais Representative to the Security Council:

Fellow members of the Security Council, it is quite saddening and shocking that the events at large that we are witnessing are occurring. Of course, I believe that we should handle this with tact and diplomacy to avoid any conflict However, conflict may be necessary if we cannot reach a consensus with Al-Badara and with Kanjor. Therefore, our countries must be prepared. Lourenne will hear what the other members have to say and will act upon an agreed decision between all members.

Benjamin Ladefoged, Kazulian Ambassador to the World Congress
We have been monitoring this situation for sometime as we have watched various nations sign the ultimatum in support of the Al'Badaran Government's commentary. As the situation develops, it is becoming increasingly clear to us that amidst the Kafuristani Government's support for stringent communist ideals, the threat posed by Al'Badara, Endralon, Aldegar, Kalopia, Beiteynu and Barmenistan is extremely troubling and in need of the attention of the various nations within these respective country's regions. In accordance with the Mandate of Tranquillity, the Kingdom of Kazulia will take any measures necessary in upholding the principles of democracy, freedom of choice and peace, as we believe that no nation should have to be subjected to threats against their nature.

As it pertains to slavery in Kanjor, we have considered economic sanctions on Kanjor as an asymmetrical response for the time being. A similar situation has evolved in Telamon and we are also considering economic sanctions. Members of this Security Council, in the day and age we must push against the tide of radical religious fundamentalism and embrace the freedoms of speech and choice.

Probius Titius, Selucian Representative in the Security Council

Selucia will always defend the values of freedom and democracy. Unfortunately, it is worrisome to see how once again, Majatra becomes the source of the vast majority of international conflicts that concern or should concern our democracies. We agree that the acts of al'Badara are totally reprehensible and that is why we put ourselves at the disposal of this Council to take the appropriate measures in this situation. In the same sense we pronounce ourselves in regard to the worrying facts that are occurring in Kanjor on slavery.

Likewise, we would like to draw this council's attention to other facts that, once again, occur in the continent of which my nation has the seat. The warlike attitude that Deltaria is showing in recent times (whose own internal situation, where in recent years and especially in the last moments, with a government that is implementing a political dictatorship) and so is Vanuku towards Jelbania makes us think that the worst can happen at any moment, and as the saying goes, "better safe than sorry"

Merlkai Hzar, Vanuku's Permanent Representative to World Congress:

We are, of course, closely monitoring the situation in Al-Badara and Kafuristan and will work with the other Security Council members to co-operate on finding a long-lasting solution.

It is clear that an ultimatum of this nature should not have been sent but similarly the radical display of the ruling Revolutionary Workers' Party in Kafuristan has done nothing but fan the flames of regional discontent and we must take this into account.

In terms of general discontent on the continent of Majatra, we agree with the Selucian representative that, once again, it has become a hot spot for unrest. Fortunately, we are taking steps to alleviate such problems. We are currently looking to implement a trans-continental economic stimulation package in Majatra along with Kazulia, based on their successful model for stimulation in Dovani.

And, In terms of Jelbania, where chaos and violence once again look likely to rule following the abandonment of that nation by the Zardugal-based Augustin Empire, we are exploring ways to shore up security and bring economic and political stability to its people and steer the situation away from conflict and war.

Finally, regarding Kanjor, Vanuku abhors slavery in all its forms and will co-operate on any action taken by this council to alleviate it.

Alexandra Adamcová, permanent representative to the World Congress for Deltaria

The situation with Badara is very concerning, the deltarian government stands fully behind the government of kafuristan and will do whatever necessary to protect its sovereign rights, the situation in both Kanjor and Telamon require the immediate attention of this security council and Deltaria proposes strict sanctions to be imposed on both nations.

Benjamin Ladefoged, Permanent Represent of Kazulia to the World Congress

Certain powers within the Majatran sphere have made their intentions extremely clear to the international community with the recent situation developing in Jelbania. In their drive towards personal achievement over holistic regional progress and development, these nations have become lurid in outlook of their neighbours, their region and themselves. Just as governments and non-government agencies are intensifying their demand for stability and sound governance in the region, they find themselves being undercut by nascent majatran powers. As the situation unfolds in Jelbania nations such as Deltaria and Vanuku are inching repeating the trend of carving up Jelbania, with the former's push in policy with respect to the nation in question being last subtle than previous decades. The Deltarian Government made its intentions clear when it said that it had every intention of regaining "Rightful Deltarian Possessions in Jelbania". The exploitation of this nation at the hands of what are supposed to be responsible nations comes to no surprise. Whilst the Vanukean Government has scaled back on its lurid "carving up" of Jelbania, favouring economic development programmes being pushed by other governments, the draconian attitude of the Deltarian Government towards Jelbania exposed its neo-colonialist demeanor. Gone are the days of self-determination as we see the gradual return of influential spheres in Jelbania. Geopolitically, it would be irrational for both sides to disagree in the observation that to them, Jelbania is a buffer zone between their nations and thus should be exploited to satisfying their separate intentions with it. The Kazulian Government, has for the past century supposed the cause of holistic national development as a means of escaping the weight which some powers place on their neighbours. Our government has worked to ensure that our neighbours, far and wide, are capable of pushing beyond the limits of geography, focusing heavily on the potential to do. The exploitation of Jelbania's vulnerability is counter productive to regional development. It is clear to us that any attempt at development on a national level will always be fought down in Majatra as it is clear that progress is a hated subject. I urge the Vanukean and Deltarian Governments to listen to understand, instead of listening to respond. They have an obligation to set aside destructive and counter productive agendas and work towards instilling real change in a region that is so divided. Without unity in anything, development in Majatra means nothing.

Alexandra Adamcová, permanent representative to the World Congress for Deltaria

To accuse Deltaria of Imperialism is hypocritical, i remember, not so long ago, that Kazulia was the nation that thought it ruled all of Terra, intervening where it wanted to without any proper consideration for the native people's wishes and demands. Deltaria has done nothing more then protecting the rights of its own people as well as the different people's across Majatra. Jelbania has, for many years, been living on the verge of total collapse. With battling tribes and constant regime change since Deltaria and Vanuku left the country killing hundreds if not thousands of their own and going against any form of stability and progress. Vanuku and Deltaria have established a flourishing, respectfull and productive relationships with the different warlords in our former zones of occupation. Giving them stability and contributing to the overall development of Jelbania. Since we left the "state" of Jelbania is basically nonexistent and the stability that once was is no more. To suggest that we should let the jelbanians kill eachother and try to kindly ask them to stop and change is naive and i am suprised that Kazulia is the nation that raises this issue

Benjamin Ladefoged, Permanent Represent of Kazulia to the World Congress

Once again we see the vile and utter lies being perpetuated by the Deltarian Government, but its labelling of Kazulia as hypocritical isn't the topic of discussion. In their representative's response, we are yet to see genuine interest or any relevant commentary on their part. Simply the incoherent ramble of a nation caught in the act. The international community should be not settle into delusion of grandeur. The observation made by the Kazulian Government is an observation shared by various other nations within the region, thus it looks extremely vague and empty when the Deltarian Government champions the sentiment of development when, during its initial period of control over Jelbania it did nothing to advance the sentiment of regional and/or local development. Deltaria has not contributed to the overall development of Jelbania as it is still the poorest and unstable nations in Majatra. Jelbania is finding itself extremely vulnerable as it attempts to survive between two nascent powers. In examining the prospects of regional and local government, why does it take an outside power like Kazulia to recognise that Jelbania is not being developed but is being disadvantaged at the hands of its neighbours. Instead of appealing to the international community for assistance in development (as Kazulia has done in the past), Jelbania was left to rot in the sun. Whilst we recognise the attempts by the Government in Wiel to champion actual development, the Deltarian Government has done little to advance the cause of progress in Jelbania. However it is our belief that nations can change: So i set the challenge to the Deltarian Government; with the KDAA and Vanukean organisations set to push for regional development, it is expected that Deltaria embrace this strong push towards feasible and actual development seeing that it believes that it has "contributed to development in Jelbania" and also recognising the fact that Deltaria has committed so much to cooperation with Vanuku and other, it shouldn't be an issue to cooperate on something of this scale. By dropping the ball on local development through cooperation, Deltaria will thus prove our point that they are incapable of cooperating and incapable of contributing to regional development whilst setting aside personal gain.

It is the belief of the Keymonite Delegation that Jelbania is being colonized by Deltaria and we fully agree with the Kazulian government and we praise the Vanukuean governments attempts to develop local economic and political stability.
