Procedure for the next election.

The seat is open only to forum-based countries. The discussions and elections are entirely out-of-character and should be conducted as such. Players who wish for their countries to stand in the elections should indicate in this thread by the end of the 21 February at the very latest. Players taking part in the election (either voting or standing as candidates) must have made at least one substantive post in the month during which the election takes place

If there is more than one country that wishes to stand, controllers should attempt to discuss among themselves who should be elected in out-of-character terms. Discussion of this kind can happen prior to the deadline for nominating yourself. If no conclusion has been reached by the end of the day on 25 February then we will have a vote and it will be one controller, one vote for those eligible (i.e. a player who controls two countries does not cast two votes).

Despite missing the deadline, I think it is fair to consider Liore's candidacy given no other country or player expressed an interest. For that reason, Liore (ChitinKal) is elected without a contest in this election.

Reflecting back on our original comment when pursuing Seat E on the need for shifting voices and representation in the SC, Liore will support Vascania's bid (ooc and we will do so without blockading Vascanian ports )

Vascania is the only nation currently to be seeking Seat E's seat. They will be acclaimed should no other Forum Based Nation seek the seat by no later then 11:59 EST, March 27th, 2021.
