Fatima el-Nouri, Prime Minister of Istalia:
Honoured representatives of the General Assembly,
As said by my colleague mr.Testanera, The new government of Istalia is not eager to engage in millitary actions against Vorona for their legalisation of slavery. We believe the power of negotation is stronger than brutal military force, and as a honest and integer nation it is important to act responsible instead of impulsive and unprofessional. However, the government of Vorona did do acts of war as a result of the old government's embargo threat. The Voronian government detained Istalians in slavery camps to use them as leverage in negotiations with Istalia. This we could not accept because it is a clear act of violence against the people of Istalia. I appeal to the World Congress to take responsible measures against the Voronian govenment to prevent them from ever detaining innocent citizens of a nation for political gain. With a new government installed in Vorona, we will await their position on slavery but must add that if this government decides to imprison Istalians as well, we need to protect our citizens and will see such imprisonments as an act of war.
As far as Badara is concerned, the peace talks will be moderated by a neutral party, lead by myself. We are waiting for the response from Beiteynu and are confident both parties will engage in the negotations in a professional and mature way; and that they'll find a solution for the civil war that has already destroyed too many lives and disrupted the economy of Badara.
