OOC: don't worry Aaron.. Hutori is admittedly twisting the words in such a way to make it appear you are invading. This is simply striking back. Blocking you from entering the country is easy; like we've done we just have to revoke your Visas to physically enter the country, however by playing it up and making it look worse then it is, we win the PR battle, we are all just RPing here, no harm no foul

Omer Halilovic, Kalopian Foreign Minister

I am sure Ms Winter was not intending this, but that last statement appeared to be a threat directed at another sovereign nation and the Kalopian delegation feels that this is most inappropriate within a chamber created for cooperation. I urge Malivia to ignore this, and to allow the Hyperion Corporation to continue operating. Meanwhile we would condemn Hutori for its complete disregard for the free market, and therefore its disregard for freedom.

Kalopia also lends its support to the Hyperion Corporation, and believes that it has helped quash communist unrest within the region. I think it was quite clear that their influence was having a positive effect on unemployment, and it should be the former Dalibor Government, not Mr Scott's company who should be taking the blame for the current crisis. Further to that, the company has condemned the mines set up by the Prime Minister, and we should not be blaming them, but Mr Jung. Currently we have a group of nations who are making a massive rouse out of nothing. Grow up, and begin acting like adults.

Salvatore Puddu, Istalian Ambassador:

Disregard of free market? The market is not above the Law, and is not the market which determine the Law.
Every nation of the world has all the right to determine who can or cannot enter in its territory as well as operate as economic actor in its market.
Hutori is a nation signatory of many treties and historically can boast an high respect of the international laws. The Government of Hutori is respecting its committment in respect and enforce the international laws, and this authorize Hutori to proceed in this way against Hyperion corporation which is acting against the international laws, as denounced by many nations that can boast the same respect of them.
The seizure of the assets of individuals or organizations is an instrument enforced so many time in every nation of the world along the history aimed tp harm the subjects of the seizure.
We are sure that the Hutorian legal system allows these persons to appeal before a Court the decision of the Government.
Announce to send security forces to defend the assets of Hyperion, so to contrast the decision of the Hutorian Government, can only be seen as a violation of the sovereighty and the authority of the Government of Hutori, which can put in danger the life of citizens and law enforcement agencies's agents.
These are basic law principles.

Ambassador Puddu. I cannot see any logic in your claim that defending ones assets, regardless of if it contrasts the position of the Hutori government or not, would be an encroachment of sovereignty. Further to that, under Hutorian law, it is illegal for the government to seize private property. Therefore, were the government to take any property away from the Hyperion Corporation, they would be breaking their own law, and actually the Corporation would be the one acting legally. In addition to that, their police are only allowed to arrest crime suspects. Since they have no crime to suspect any Hyperion associate of, they are also breaking their own law in arresting any Hyperion workers living in Hutori.

The Kalopi-Siphina government acknowledges that the Hutori government has historically stuck to international law, however currently it is violating it most increduously, and that must be stopped.

Julia Winters
Hutorian Ambassador to the World Congress

I'm pleased to see that the Kalopian Foreign Minister is so well versed in Hutorian Law. You are 99% correct except for missing the point where the three corporate entities in question and their employees were declared persona non grata within Hutori making them de-facto criminals within Hutori. This automatically revoked their Hutorian Visas their presence in Hutori illegal. This strips them of all legal rights and protections normally afforded to residents of Hutori. Without the protection of Hutorian Law their assets are ours to seize and freeze and their employees, now illegal residents of our nation, are our to arrest and deport back to their respective of their countries of origin. Period.

Perhaps you are allowed to arrest them. You are not allowed to deport them though. By Hutorian law, you have the obligation to place them into integration centres.

Hyperion to Sue Hutorian Government in Court as well as national courts, says actions illegal
The Hyperion Corporation has filed lawsuits in both Hutorian courts as well as international courts, opening a duel front against the Hutorian Government. In their suit, the Pantheon Foundation, the plaintiff, argues that the Hutorian Government has illegally detained foreign nationals and illegally seized property.
Psy Scott calls on governments to condemn arrests of Hyperion Personnel
Many of the arrested are nationals of other nations, Malivia, Hawu Mumenhes, even some Dalibor military trainees. I call upon all these governments to condemn these illegal arrests. These men and women did nothing wrong!

OOC: Elections are going to occur in January for Dalibor, and I have a question.

So far, I'm thinking Hyperion's puppet get about 44-51 seats, Communists get 36-44, a "peace party" gets some small but maybe significant number, and the rest get invalidated and are blank seated by the high court because of the conflict. Does that sound good and not too op?

OOC: there is no way that the Hyperion puppet party having wracked the country with civil war would be winning a majority government unless the people like the civil war.

Also your making a blatantly false statement lol; those nationals were deported, they aren't actually being detained unless that was poetic license
