Otto Zunke, Hulstrian Ambassador to World Congress:
Members of the Assembly,
It is clear that due to the reckless behaviour of certain members of the international community the 'Oriental Disease' has been allowed to spread around the globe and is now in danger of becoming an unstoppable pandemic. We feel the opportunism of the Cancon organisation in trying to profit from this is totally unethical and that the world community should - where necessary - censure their behaviour and seize their assets - to ensure what research they have is available for everyone and free of charge.
Fortunately, Hulstria is able to help too. Given that we have been at the forefront of trying to contain this disease for several years now, our scientists have had first-hand experience of plague victims, symptoms, strains of the virus and other pertinent information. Our government is willing to share these valuable experiences, findings and research with the world community - thus pushing forward the chance to find a vaccine or, dare I say it, a cure by months - if not more.
Unlike Cancon we put no monetary value on this research. However, given the oppressed situation we find ourselves in, there are a couple of stipulations:
Firstly, the Security Council must, without hesitation or procrastination, suspend its actions in relation to Resolution 47 and 48 and subsequently lift the naval and trade embargoes that are in place against Hulstria.
Secondly, Resolution 46 - WCHM in Ostland to fight the Wolfsheim Infection - must be amended to ensure that any WCHM mission is only carried out following direct consultation with Hulstria and through a pre-planned land corridor, the parameters of which will be defined in discussion with Hulstria.
Once these matters are addressed, Hulstria will share its extensive and valuable knowledge on the disease.
Thank you. We await your reply.
