William Rosencruz
Hutorian Ambassador to the World Congress

I'd like to thank the Istalian Ambassador for the questions.

First of all, I would suggest full maximum diplomatic pressure. We institute a full trade embargo against the nation, and pull out as much diplomatic recognition as we can. At best, I would advise leaving only a World Congress diplomatic mission there to observe the situation until they have abolished the Slave Trade, and can be welcomed back into the family of nations. Hutori has already done these actions, as a member of the International Rejection of Slavery Treaty. Hutorian companies and entities are already barred from doing business in Pontesi and Pontesian entities are indefinitely banned from Hutori.

I would also move that slaves that wish to escape indemnity from this apartheid regime, be given safe refugee with supporting nations. If they are not willing to change these oppressive laws, that we consider, further actions.

In regards to the Trigunian Federation, we are gladden to hear an established and stable government has returned, and we'll continue to observe the situation in regards to slavery. However Selucia continues to be lawless, and I'm wondering if a World Congress Mission shouldn't be sent there, if for no other reason, then to stablize it.

A point of clarification from the Honourable Ambassador from Yingdala.

What would the size of the contingent be that would be supporting the mission, from what background should they be chosen.. or will we be trusting the good offices of the World Congress Peacekeeping Office to decide on this.

Jason Andrews
Luthorian Ambassador to World Congress

I would like to apologize for being late to this meeting, the other members of our government stalled until the last minute to elect yours truly as our representative to this World Congress. It is a pleasure to get the opportunity to work with you all.

Liang Wen, Yingdalan Ambassador to the World Congress
We thank His Excellency the Hutorian Ambassador for the question.

Our assumption is that they would come from the Peacekeeping Office and would be an ample size to protect a group of inspectors. Would two guards per inspector suffice? I would defer to the Peacekeeping Office on the exact number of guards and inspectors.

"We're not quite sure who employs the "...a contingent of personal protection specialists to ensure the personal security of the inspectors..." when we have officers and enlisted men from across Terra who are attached to the World Congress Peacekeeping and Assistance Office, trained in accordance with international law, provided additional training on the rules of engagement as wel have been attached to the WCPAO for quite sometime that could provide the same exact services. I question why Yingdala is attempt to amend the already passed Resolution 83 and bring in outside agents to protect WC Inspectors."

We thank His Excellency for his statement. The World Congress has security personnel that are not peacekeepers. Leaders employed by this organization have security detail. Those individuals would go. Everyone would be employed by the WC. There was no implication for outside contractors or the like.

"I know of no "security personnel" employed by the World Congress outside of the World Congress Peacekeeping and Assistance Office. If you are claiming that you want to send members of the Whale Island Security Force who are non-militarily trained, civilian law enforcement officers into a potential combat zone, I would be highly opposed. I think that sending Peacekeepers, who have significant training in the rules of engagement as well as military training."

The World Congress welcomes the arrival of the Luthorian Ambassador.

Allow me to interject to clarify that the World Congress has security personnel that would not be characterised as soldiers or military personnel, it seems that the Yingdalan delegation was referring to these.

Selucia has failed to present a representative to the Security Council within the specified deadline for doing so. As a result they have forfeited their Security Council seat for the duration of the 43rd Session. As the country with the next highest number of votes in their seat, Vanuku replaces them on the Security Council. I invite the Vanukean delegation to present their representative.

Count Hillesko Nasiv-Kshi, Representative of the Kingdom of Vanuku

Honoured delegates, the Kingdom of Vanuku is ready to do what must be done for the sake of global stability. My administration was sad to hear that the ancient state of Selucia was unable to do their duty. Yet we are here now after our own period of internal instability, ready at last to represent the nations that need it more than most.
