The Hanzenese delegation is prepared to support the amendments put following the input of the Yingdalan Ambassador. Clearly, this exchange shows the value of transparency and collaboration in international affairs, aside from the unilateralist propaganda coming from our esteemed "Great Powers."
However, the Hanzenese delegation remains opposed to the hyperbolic and effuse reaffirmation in the preamble of the resolution. As I've stated elsewhere, terrorism is nothing more than a symptom of the underlying "greatest threats to international peace and security." Accordingly, we do not feel that the language used by the Kazulian delegation is proportionate to the issue at hand.
We will not support the resolution without any changes to the overly-dramatic and politicized reaffirmation as it is currently written. We argue, at a minimum, that the phrase "one of the greatest threats to..." should be removed, and replaced with "a threat to..."
Alternatively, and dependent on the input of other honoured representatives, we suggest striking the reaffirmation altogether.
