Mr. Petrov, Representative to the World Congress from the Deltarian Federation

Deltaria is suprised by the reactions in this assembly. Our country, risking the lives of our own servicemen and women, have helped the Kundrati population to put an end to a oppressive, anti human rights regime that threatened the rights of its citizens and tried to spread a dangerous ideology that has, apparently, already reached some member states here.

Our president made a deliberation of either accepting a clear violation of human rights and thus opening the doors for other regimes to do the same, or intervene with the risk of our own men dying. We chose the hard option. Now if anyone in this assembly would want to vouch for banning religion i would like to think the purpose of this assembly has been forgotten. It is our duty, as the World Congress, to uphold international law which includes the freedom of religion. The Deltarian Federation will continue to act alone on violations of international law and human rights if the World Congress refuses to do so as a collective.

Ofcourse Deltaria is more then willing to provide aid, advice and close cooperation with the new Kundrati government, as it is clear it has developed itself from within the populace and respects the sovereign rights of its citizens. This is a regime that, without Deltarian help, would not have been possible.

Re: General Assembly Dialogue on Kundrati Questions

Postby Mr. F49 » Thu Nov 12, 2020 4:55 pm

Aleks Sævarsson,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Telamon

I appreciate the introduction of the Foreign Minister of Badara Mustapha al-Makhtoum to the space of dialogue. Telamon is an Autonomous Social Democratic State, which will support the Transition Council in Kundrati, Telamon has donated for Kundrati to recover from the military action carried out by Deltaria, with this space we seek to resolve the conflict between the affected nations.

In the Security Council the discussion regarding the attack was lifted. Today it has been discussed in the General Assembly which is where we carry out this proposal. Without further ado, we will be waiting for the two parties to join the dialogue.

Foreign Minister Mustapha al-Makhtoum. Jumhuriat al-Badara

With respect to the comments of Representative Petrov of the Deltarian Federation, we would say first we are happy to hear that the Deltarian Federation is willing to send aid to Kundrati to aid in its recovery. Likely the best way to do that would be enter the General Assembly dialogue on this subject so it could be part of a coordinated plan although contacting the Kundrati government directly is also an option.

We do not presume to speak for anyone else but we have observed two directions in the concerns of various nations. First diplomacy was tending toward condemnation, tariffs and maybe other economic sanctions. Think many would like to know how long elapses or what parameters occur before Deltaria decides Deltarian Intervention is the preferred solution.

Second, the key to the military success of Deltarian Intervention is the lightning strike without warning. Jumhuriat al-Badara has generally viewed actions by other nations in the same light as Deltaria. But think many would like to know what policies or actions are going to provoke Deltarian Intervention so as to avoid it rather than receive it.

We would invite Deltaria to enter a discussion on these subjects in the General Assembly dialogue. No one believes Deltarian Intervention is going away.

Senatrix Elissa Sennia
Envoy of the Selucian Senate to the World Congress

The Senate of the Selucian Republic expresses its disappointment that a matter that could have been resolved peacefully was resolved with the use of force and the violation of national sovereignty. However, although we remain critical of Deltarian actions, the Selucian Senate is pleased to note the Deltarian Federation is assisting in the reconstruction and democratic transition of Kundrati and is willing to pledge Selucia's assistance as well, should the government of Kundrati request it.

Seeing that this is a matter that concerns Selucia directly, the Senate of our Republic would also like to obtain clarification regarding the implications of Security Council Resolution 103. Although the resolution was adopted to deal with the Kundrati crisis specifically, it also mandates diplomatic sanctions on all nations banning the practice of any religious beliefs. Given that the practice of several religions, most notably the Aurorian Patriarchal Church, is currently against the law in our Republic, our Senate wishes to know whether the provisions of the resolution do in fact apply to Selucia, and if so, the Senate would like to know what precisely the "diplomatic sanctions" against our nation would be.

Envoy to the General Assembly from Narikaton and Darnussia.

We in Narikaton and Darnussia are glad that the Kundrati Crisis is receiving the attention it deserves, however we feel that the situation in Luthori so be of great concern. We are appalled by the actions of The National Movement in Luthori and believe that if the situation is not dealt with in Luthori then the international community should come to the aid of the Leftist Coalition in Luthori.

Lillie Hyde-Smith, Luthori WC Representative

As I have just been elected to be Luthori's WC representative, I would like to introduce myself to the GA chamber and inform the Assembly on the progress Luthori is taking in reversing Fascism. Recently the End Discrimination Act was proposed to the Luthori Diet. This bill will ban segregation and discrimination when it comes to hiring. The Luthorian government hopes this shows to the international community that we are starting to reverse these backwards policies although it will take some time due to a 5 policy limit on each party for each year.

Chen Qing Fu, Yingdala World Congress Representative

As I was appointed by Imperator Chin Bo Zheng to represent Yingdala here in the World Congress, I wish to make known the thoughts of the Imperator. As fascism is being fought all around Terra, we must remember the many sacrifices made in each and every country to gain and preserve a democratic form of government. The recent events in Luthori shows that there is still much work that needs to be done in order to preserve what we have gained: freedom. My government is happy to see that fascism is no longer running rampant in Luthori, so we thank the new government of Luthori for their fast approach to backtracking undemocratic reforms in the nation.

Yingdala is here participating in the World Congress, and hopefully the Security Council, to be a guiding light in a dark and desolate world created by fascist policies and political groups. I, personally, am looking forward working with every nation in Terra to establish lasting friendships and partners.

Lillie Hyde-Smith, Luthori WC Representative

I would like to update the chamber on how the reversal of Luthorian Fascism is going. Since my last update to this chamber segregation has been banned and the formerly powerful police force has had some of its powers removed. However I am sad to report that the conservative LCP has not supported our measures to give unbiased education in schools and give people a choice on what religion to follow. The liberal government is still pushing ahead with more reforms to personal liberties though and is always willing to negoate with the LCP to remove the worst parts of fascism.
