Msia Ironsi, World Congress Representative of the Socialist State of Liore
Liore supports the resolution proposed by the Selucian delegation and have no issue with the language of the resolution. Liore also thanks the Aldegarian delegation for its amending of their resolution on the prohibition of war and strongman diplomacy, and we will support both resolutions once brought to a vote.

Image Mr. Mönkhbat Ong, Aldegarian Permanent Representative to the World Congress:
Aldegar has moved our proposed resolution to a vote in recognition of the consensus that we have achieved and hopes that all members will support the landmark resolution. At this point we would note that the Security Council has not selected a President this term. In order to avoid any dispute on this issue, we would like to propose former General-Secretary of the World Congress Afiríyie Danso, a respected and trustworthy figure able to provide strong leadership.

In this Kyo name, the family name is "Bae."
Image Ms. Bae Yoo-bin, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dranian Permanent Representative to the World Congress:
In the interest of efficiency, our delegation seconds the nomination by Aldegar of former General-Secretary Afiríte Danso to the Office of the President of the Security Council.

As we are all aware, the President of the Security Council is tasked with appointing personnel to the following posts, upon the nomination of individuals by the Security Council:
  • Director of the Department of Security Council Administration (SC R68)
  • High Commissioner of the World Congress Human Rights Office (SC R68)
  • Director-General of the World Congress Peacekeeping and Assistance Force(SC R68)
  • High Commissioner of the World Congress Budget Office (SC R60)
Our delegation suggests that these posts are staffed with qualified civilians as soon as possible. It is clear, following from the resolutions that this Session has passed, that the World Congress System and its subsidiary organs will need reform and reorganization; accordingly, in our view, nominees to these offices should be viewed as "caretakers."

In this spirit, our delegation nominates the following individuals for these vacancies:
  • Dr. Jeon Dae-shim (Dankuk), Professor of Public Administration, Seongtaek National University, for Director of the DSCA;
  • Ms. Linh Pham (Kimlien), former Secretary-General of the Human Rights Foundation, for High Commissioner of the WCHRO
  • Ms. Crystal Xiapopote (Lourenne), Royal Minister of International Affairs and lead Lourennais negotiator of the Avienne-les-Baines Peace Accords, for Director-General of the WCPAFOR
  • Mr. Jean Rony Casseus (New Alduria), Professor of Economics, University of New Alduria, for High Commissioner of the WCBO.

Our delegation welcomes the nomination of alternate individuals, but underlines the practical need to fill these offices expeditiously, as well as the temporary nature of these appointments.

Liore supports the Aldegarian proposal to elect Afiríyie Danso to President of the Security Council. Concurring with the opinion of our Dranian comrades that the filling of these offices ought to be done so swiftly, we express our trust in the judgement of Dankuk and will support their list of candidates unless another delegation has any opposition they wish to raise or alternative candidate they wish to nominate.

Aldegar supports these nominations and since that represents a majority of Security Council members, we have moved a resolution on the matter to vote with immediate effect.

"The Kingdom has been in preliminary discussions with the Talmorian Provisional Authority regarding official diplomatic status as well as a number of other things, one of the requests was for supervision of their election process. Dorvik will be sending independent observers but they requested that the World Congress dispatch its own mission. I believe that this is something that reflects the general support we should be giving to all nations when requested, I hereby propose the following for discussion, and hopefully, ratification."

UNDERSTANDING the importance of free, fair and democratic elections in our society;

RECOGNIZES that the Talmorian Provisional Authority has requested independent observers from the Kingdom of Dorvik as well as a World Congress delegation;

FORMS a delegation of election officials from Security Council member nations to observe elections in Talmoria for the duration agreed upon by the delegation and the Talmorian government;

Image Mr. Mönkhbat Ong, Aldegarian Permanent Representative to the World Congress:
Aldegar recognises the request from the Talmorian administration and agrees with Dorvik that the World Congress should be willing to offer support of this kind as requested by governments.

On a separate note, we are proposing a resolution to remove Vanuku as a "recognised nuclear power" in line with the agreement reached at the Ramsāhreza Conference. Our hope is that all countries will support this measure.

The Security Council,

Recalling the powers granted to it in Security Council Resolution 97,

Acknowledging that Vanuku has vacated its role in the international sphere,

Affirming that the country no longer possesses functioning nuclear weapons;

Revokes the status of Vanuku as a "recognised nuclear power".

Liore will vote for both resolutions currently in debate when they come to a vote. We offer our strongest support to taking another step forward in global denuclearization through the reclassification of Vanuku, and commend the Aldegarian delegation for drafting this proposal.
