[/quote]The Union of Communist Councilist Republics firmly urges all Terra to oppose imperialism and Kunihito chauvinism. It is evident that bare and inhumane torture of the Kunihito and particularly the Hulstrian peoples is being actively pursued by the fascist government, with clear intent and purpose to butcher the masses. Justification of slavery for economic issues is to be expected from capitalists, but is still sickening. As for segregation; nothing can be justified. In our society; Kyo, Draddwyr, and Draniano all work together to better society despite past differences. Similarly, Hulstrian and Kunihito ethnic relations are able to be surpassed, but the circumvention of bigotry and achievement of racial solidarity has been prevented by the Imperial regime. For our part; we have ceased trade and all diplomatic relations with the Empire of Gao-Soto, and have recognized the HVF. The Rowiet Union will further pursue the necessary and righteous implementation of sanctions for World Congress members to follow; such as a ban on all material required to produce armaments and to develop Gao-Sotoan weapons. An open, thorough, and proper investigation of the matters at hand should be further sought, though Gao-Soto has made their position on minority and Hulstrian rights clear already. There can be no compromises in opposing such a noxious rule."
Looks like we have four votes for the proposal and Gao-Soto and Pontesi against. Anyone changing their vote or additional votes before we name committee?
We intend to stay our course on the matter.
Is the Assembly going with an unchanged version of the draft proposed or will further articles be added?
We are content with the current proposal as is.
It has been suggested that we ought to elect a temporary Presiding Officer until such time as the General Secretary of the World Congress is able to resume that function.
Accordingly, propose we take nominations or volunteers if necessary and elect a temporary Presiding Officer.
Once that is done think we should address the question raised by the Representative of the Confederacy. And then unless something prevents it have the General Assembly select the Committee anticipated by the proposal.
Unless there are objections let's elect a temporary chair.
Proposal seconded. In this case; who should be elected as chair? As long as they aren't of one of the 5 slavery-abiding nations; we have no serious qualms.
I suggest we elect a chairman first and then officially ratify the Committee.
Velke Rise Deltarska nominates Beatrix Bos, Representative of the Confederacy of Narikaton and Darnussia, as Temporary Presiding Officer of the General Assembly of the World Congress pending the Secretary General resuming that function.
