81st Security Council Session

Postby jamescfm » Fri Jun 30, 2023 10:38 pm

Below are the archived discussions of the 81st Security Council Session, which lasted from 5325 to 5340.

Image Mr. Isaac Lawson, General-Secretary of the World Congress:
Following the 5325 Security Council elections, the World Congress welcomes governments, political parties and other organisations to the 65th Security Council Session.

The elected members of the Security Council at the commencement of this term are Dorvik, Beiteynu, Tukarali and Lourenne. Elected members have eighteen months to present a representative to the Security Council or they will forfeit their position for the duration of the term and the runner-up in their seat will replace them.

Members are encouraged to move quickly to elect an individual as the President of the Security Council, I shall chair discussions in the meantime.

I am honored to represent the Kingdom of Dorvik in the Security Council. I’d like to bring a point of addressing the unusual circumstances of the Luthorian representative to the World Congress addressing the Security Council. While we understand the circumstances and concern that the Luthorian representative has, we believe firmly that the Hobrazian question is an at best an Artanian matter but entirely an internal matter.

Mr. General-Secretary and estemeed colleagues

It is with great honor that I assume the role of Permanent Representative of the State of Beiteynu having succeeded Omer Aristocrat who have served on this estemeed Council and the World Congress for many years. I acknowledge his contributions and service. I would also like to take this time to thank the countries who voted to put us in this estemeed Council. Rest assured that Beiteynu will work tirelessly to fulfil its responsibilities.

Mr. General-Secretary, I would like to add that since our country is currently resuming relations with Luthori, Beiteynu will follow the lead of Dorvik and Luthori in regards to the situation in Hobrazia.

Thank you.

Tukarali has failed to present a representative to the Security Council within the specified deadline for doing so. As a result, they have forfeited their Security Council seat for the duration of the current session. As the country with the next highest number of votes in seat C, Likatonia will replace them on the Security Council.

I invite the Likatonian delegation to present their representative. Failure to do so within the next eighteen months will result in the forfeiture of the seat.
