Security Council Resolution 96

The Security Council,

Recognising that it is not desirable for the World Congress to become a military force,

Rejecting the doctrine of "humanitarian intervention" as another manifestation of imperialism and neo-colonialism,

Acknowledging that the World Congress Peacekeeping Office has been used repeatedly to further these objectives;

Resolves to abolish the World Congress Peacekeeping Office.
